AFAIK no. But you could try this workaround: Put the reverb on Path B and set it's Mix to 100%. Path A now has the dry signal, Path B the wet signal. The mix is now controlled by the level of the reverb and there are two parameters that do that: the reverb's Level and the mixer block's B Level. Control the reverb's Level with Footswitch 1 to toggle between two values (i.e. -6dB and 0dB). Control the Mixer Block's B Level with Snapshots.

Does anyone use factory presets after learning from them?
Schmalle replied to Stomp2Stomp's topic in Helix
You can scan through the factory presets and - if you find an fx setting you like - save it as a favorite. This way you can name and organize the good stuff for fast access in your own presets. -
Download both the Stomp's and the Bridge4's manual. Read the MIDI chapter in the Stomp' manual. Then you know what MIDI messages the Stomp expects (MIDI PC = Program Change and CC = Continuous Control), how to set it up and what can be controlled. Read chapter 8 in the Bridge4's manual. Then you know how to make it send said messages. Connect the Stomp's MIDI IN with the Bridge4's MIDI OUT. Make sure both units use the same MIDI channel. It's best you set Stomp's Global Settings -> MIDI -> MIDI Base Channel to Omni . This way it will always work regardless of the Brigde4's setting.

Does NI offer a DAW? You need software that can host AAX, AU or VST3 plugins - something like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton, Reaper, GarageBand...

There apparently is another way to do this: Take a legacy PingPong Delay with Feedback 0%, Spread 0%, Mix 100%, Level 0dB. It is the least DSP-expensive flat sounding delay. Save and export the preset. Open with text editor, find the line ' "Time" : ' and input i.e. '0.0018,' for 1.8ms = 0.0018s. Save and import the preset file. Unless you touch the time parameter you now have the desired compensating delay. Test if it really aligns both phases and -if needed- repeat the process with more fitting delay time. It's a good idea to save the delay as favorite.

Nice. The file looks right. You can do it on your own then. Tips: Measure the delay exactly by recording and comparing both channels simultaneously and play a note. Measure whether your IR works perfectly the same way (with the IR on of course). Tweak (add or delete samples of silence before the impulse) and repeat if needed. And: There *might* be a change in delay depending on the complexity of the patch - I didn't check that.

Hey Darrell, how do you record the Helix?
-
Forgot to mention: I did that with the HXStomp - not shure if the Helix's loop introduces the exact same delay. If not feel free to record one note in stereo with both channels and post it as an mp3-attachment so that I can identify the delay and build a custom IR. Peace of cake in Audacity.
-
I attached an IR file that adds a delay of 72 samples which should perfectly compensate for the loop's delay. Load it in an IR block with level set to zero in the non-return-block path. (right-click -> save audio as...) 72sampledelay.wav

Phase cancellation due to time delay caused by DA->AD conversion in the loop.

I get that and it is a likely explanation for the problem. If you agree that it is possible that @paulsmusic might have the right cable but connected it wrong - you get my point. I just added a possible cause that wasn't mentioned before.
-
It is that easy: Boss MIDI Out -> HxStomp MIDI In given using the correct cable. My point is: Don't connect i.e. MIDI Out with MIDI Out. Seems dumb to mention but is a common mistake and the actual cabling wasn't detailed in the OP.

Help! How Do I Do This Basic DL4 function on my HX Stomp XL? (Video demo)
Schmalle replied to Jalbatross's topic in Helix
Unfortunately you can't have both. Either you set the delay's Time parameter to a duration in seconds (then the expression pedal works) or you set it to a note value (then you can use the tap function). For it to be possible the Time parameter would need to be split into two parameters: time and note value. -
Boss MIDI Out -> HxStomp MIDI In

I'm not smart enough to figure out what is happening. A factory reset might fix it.
-
To make sure: it does not bring back the default value of a parameter if you press it?
-
Oh, didn't expect that.
-
If it does not work it is a hardware defect and needs to be repaired. You can make 100% sure it is defective by turning on the Stomp while pressing that button. It should bring you into an LCD test screen if it works.

I.e. an expression predal controlling a chorus's mix parameter in Snapshot 1 and depth in Snapshot 2? -I don't think that's possible. As workaround you can use two blocks of the same fx and assign the expression pedal to both of them and toggle on/off per snapshot .

That one is the only one that shows HxFx presets, too. None of the three is perfect - all of them can be useful. http://hmon.ir/helix/fx_finder.htm - It's a fast way to find out what some wacky L6 names represent. I.e. type "mail" in the search box to see what a mail order twin actually is. Or type in "fender" to immediately see all 7ender models.
-
You can try to match the Smallbox's preamp with a Hx preamp ( JTM45 maybe?) and then compare apples to apples when using pedals. You can tame the level coming from the pedals and check whether too much level is the problem when using Hx preamps.
-
When you set the input Z to 10kOhm the massive volume drop is normal - the loss of highs, too. It's part of how the passive guitar electrics interact with the input impedance. Did you use a pedal in front of the Stomp before? Or active pickups?

Some useful Helix related online apps that deserve to be on the cheat sheet imho: http://hmon.ir/helix/fx_finder.htm https://dbagchee.github.io/helix-preset-viewer/ https://hxview.netlify.app/ https://hxview.vercel.app/

Enough data to conclude that contacting your dealer and asking for a replacement is due.
