The limited control range of this specific pedal has often been criticized in reviews at different online music store sites.

Then I think you should make use of the warranty and ask for a replacement device.

It should work in Stomp mode. Press View and then <-Page-> to change modes.

When you look at the volume block's position parameter it's min/max indicators (white marks) are both on the left side (both set to zero so that you see only one mark)?!

Your "DO" patch shows how splitting / merging in stereo with Path A and B works. The "Fierce" patch had the same settings for the split and merge blocks without actually using Path B for the right channel. This can lead to unexpected behavior and resetting the the blocks solves it. I was refering to static noise issues only. With hiss I mean the noise that is always present (unless the noise gate chops it off). Feedback is related to higher volume / gain or to "whisteling" pickups when the guitar is on. Different things.

Great amp choice! Love the Silvertone. You MUST try the Mandarin 80 with that Mail cab! Like the Silvertone it also has a (James) tonestack that works great with the Jensen C12Q - it can fill the hole in the low mids. Set mids on 5 (authentic setting), explore and enjoy!

Set everything to Inst level for simplicity and forget about it. That'll work fine. What matters is to set ALL send/returns on both units to the same setting (Inst or Line) - so the the levels don't jump. The return impedance changes with switching between Line and Inst - this doesn't matter for this application. Whether you go to mixer with Line or Inst level doesn't really matter. Mixers can usually handle both levels. One remark about hiss / noise that might appear: I think as long as you use the amps relatively clean / edge of breakup the hiss introduced by the 4 AD/DA conversions will probably be ok. If you'd ever want / need to optimize for simplicity, noise and latency: consider Guitar -> HxStomp (pre Fx + Amps+IR) -> HxFx (PostFx) -> Mixer. Have fun!

No, I'd keep everything Inst level besides the HXFX output. This way you have more headroom to boost the amps with the HXFX drive.

There are hidden split / mixer blocks panning path A/B hard left /right. Put one of the blocks to path B (to make the mixer appear), reset the bock's pan parameters to center and put the block back to path A. Try if it still happens after doing this.

You can connect your monitors with an additional multiple socket with on/off switch. You can pull out the plugs of the signal cables to your monitors about 6mm (1/4"). You can add a stereo Send block last in the chain and set Global Settings-> Ins/outs -> Phones Monitor to Send.

I proposed this on Ideascale a while ago: Twice as much snapshots - access via longpress The amount of snapshots is limited - especially on Stomp (3) / XL (4). Twice as much seem feasible. The extra snapshots would be accessed via longpress - i.e. button2 selects snapshot2 and longpress button2 snapshot5 (3+2) on Stomp respectively snapshot6 (4+2) on XL. This would need snapshots to be switched on release instead of press. That could be implemented as a global "extended snapshot option" paired with a longpress time parameter.

Helix Rack - Midi Control Tuner (CC68) -> Deactivation and Activation
Schmalle replied to DmDrummer007's topic in Helix
I don't see a workaround. Open a support ticket and complain about the removal. Ask to add a CC (CC67 maybe?) with old tuner page behavior for the next firmware. -
If you use the split path method (left channel for front fx, right for post fx) you need to set the Split block's balances to A:L100, B:R100 and the Mixer block's pans to A:L100, B:R100.

It just worked without installing extra drivers. I use these settings: * Output channels 7/8 aren't doing anything - setting output channels to 6 is sufficient.

I run Reaper on Ubuntu / Kernel 5.15 with standard ALSA drivers and can use all 8 INs / 8 OUTs with my HXStomp.

Hi and welcome! You can change the color of a footswitch's LED in Command Center. Select the switch and customize. You should explore the concept of favorites: You edit a block to your liking, then save it as favorite and give it a name. The name will be the blocks name.

How do you connect to the amp with XLR? XLR -> TRS adapter? Is the ground lift switched on on your Helix? Is this the buzz you're getting?:
-
It works correctly. From the manual: "For modulated stereo delays, Spread affects the LFOs’ (low frequency oscillators) stereo modulation behavior. At 0, the LFOs are in sync. At 10, the two LFOs are 180 degrees out of sync, so that when one side is modulating up, the other side is modulating down." If you don't hear that it is likely that the signal is mixed down by a mono block after the delay or the device that you plugged into mixes it mono.

Here is a patch that does the basic trick that is shown in the EHX video (see above). Dampen the strings (see above) and go from there. Caribbean Steel

Interesting question. I couldn't come up with something close. But there is definetly stuff out there that can do the steel drum thing:
-
Ok. I misread the OP. I suspect the level sent to your delays etc is too high. Set Send/Return to Inst in Global Settings -> Ins/Outs to reduce the send level and/or use the controls in the FX block. The FX return input impedance changes with said Global setting: Inst=: high impedance, Line= low impedance. That is only affecting the tone if you plug in an instrument directly into one of the returns. Placement of blocks is not relevant.
-
Two things to consider: A stereo delay into a mono cab changes the tone due to mixdown to mono. Some delays have a headroom parameter to mimic input overdrive. Increase it to get rid of those artifacts.

The .hir files are Line6's proprietory IR file format to ensure use with their products only.
