Not getting distortion from amp when running 4-cable method
urbanspaceblast replied to bsaville's topic in Firehawk
I think it would be useful if guys could examine your patch. Can you upload it and provide the detail? -
What I described will allow you to switch between an amp model and your Blackstar by hitting the loop footswitch. The cab setting is up to you, just try some options and choose what works for you.
-
Activate the FX Loop and assign it to a switch. This is will be your Blackstar preamp. Then edit the FX Loop block and raise the mix to 100%.

Sorry to bother you, please accept my sincere apologies.

I can only change the 3 blocks in the screenshot. The comp and reverb blocks are fixed. Android v1.20

Added my vote. There's already a similar idea up there but it only has two votes, and one of those is mine :( . http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/More-Effect-blocks-within-Firehawk-chain/786995-23508

firehawk fx footswitch assign (pre buying question)
urbanspaceblast replied to raybo66's topic in Firehawk
Agreed. -
Do the problems occur with 240v adaptors as well as 110v? I haven't experienced any issues with 240v using the stock or a 3rd party adaptor.

Any board with a multimeter on it is definately awesome B)
-
Sorry, I'm not hearing the popping. Youv'e come a long way in 7 months mate B)
-
I tried it the other day out of curiosity and yes you can. Just hook up to your PC and select 1.10 in the updater. I watched it load and reboot showing 1.10.
-
Thanks. Sorry mate I've not looked into that. The HD500x supports that but I can't see how to achieve it with the Firehawk..

Some of us have put slightly higher feet on the rear of the FH. Problem solved.

Sorry to hear your problem stevekc. I updated mine to 1.20 today and played for an hour without a problem. It took 4 minutes to update via PC.

LOL ;)

In the app. Settings>options.

Check out the M13.

Cost a few quid from eBay, commonly used for CCTV and the likes. 5m long, male at one end, female at the other. 2.5mm centre pin.
-
Looking good. I bought a 3rd party power supply as a spare. A bit shorter and a bit wider. It doesn't have the swappable pin section so is a bit more robust. But I run a 9v line inside my cable snake and leave the power brick behind my amp.

Well said. There are no issues with the Firehawk that bother me enough to sell up, and if I did I wouldn't hang around to bash it at every opportunity.

Firehawk compared to Pod HD500 - HD Amp Models - Help...!?
urbanspaceblast replied to vshort73's topic in Firehawk
Not sure about the HD500 but the Firehawk has the noise gate active by default. Could this be the difference? -
I did a block diagram to get my head around the 4CM when I got the Firehawk. The key is to think of the Firehawk as the centre piece and effects are added into it's loop. This is opposed to the usual chain of adding effects pedals into the amp loop. The preamp can be thought of as an effect pedal, and the power amp section is the final increase. HTH. As I'm a bit thick I have colour coded my cables to match the diagram. LOL.

Thanks. I appreciate the update.
