  1. I have reinstalled FW 2.12. Great we get some new amps and effects, thanks! But the latency issue in stomp mode make most of my presets unusable. ...I hope we get the new update(2.21) soon?
  2. OK, thanks for the information! ...I have reinstalled version 2.12 and and everything works fine. So I hope they fix it soon
  3. Firmware 2.20 Bug? I have some presets where I change the amp model and some effects at the same time with one stomp mode switch. There is a little “noise/latency†when I press the switch. It sounds like the blocks/parameters not switching exactly at the same time. I didn’t have this problem in earlier firmware versions.
  4. I remember when I got my firts pitch pipe, too. ...I thought, how should I ever get my guitar tuned with this thing?!  (I was an absolut beginner at this time) ... The new update looks nice, I see some interesting things. :) ...an acoustic bass amp, but where is the acoustic guitar amp, line 6? :o
  5. RemixOS 3.0! You can start it from a fast USB 3.0 stick. It's working great.
  6. OK, that’s right. But I’m from Europe and a repair will take at least several weeks (…I can't find a time where I don't need the Helix). And after a repair it’s not guaranteed, that another switch will start to make problems. It's only a "little" contact problem, so I tried to fix it myself. You only need a screwdriver, contact spray and some patience. But you’re right, if you’re technically untalented you should sent it in repair.
  7. Yep, some switches unfortunately have contact problems I solved the problem, but it is a little tricky because you have to open the Helix and to remove the switchboard. That’s not very difficult, but you have to remove a lot of screws and two data cables to get it out. There are little push button switches under the chrome part. I cleaned the contact surfaces between them. Then I dribbled some contact spray on the button switch and pressed the switch a few times to get the spray inside. I had 2 switches that did not work right, but now every switch works perfect.

  10. Yep, they don't use special stompbox footswitches. These cheap switches, you can find everywhere(notebooks, radios, ...) Not the best solution for an effect pedal.
  11. I don't know if a rubber protector would really prevents the oxidation. I think you need an airtight vacuum switch for this. I opened my Helix today. There are standard 4Pin 6mm push button switches on the motherboard underneath the chrome parts. something like this> http://shortcircuit.com.my/4-pin-tactile-touch-push-button-switch.html So (after the warranty), it is possible to repair it with a soldering iron. These 4Pin switches are installed in many multi-media devices, but there should be a better solution for a 1500$ high end device.

  13. That's is very annoying. But I'm pretty sure it is a contact problem inside the switches. ...perhaps a faulty batch? Maybe Line6 could make some sensitivity adjustments in a firmware update, but I'm not really sure this would help. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Fix-footswitch-problems/841146-23508#idea-details-tab-activity
  14. I have the same problems, ...from Europe and can't find a time where I don't need the Helix, too. I will ask the dealer next week how long a repair will last. Sometimes the switches work good and sometimes 50% double presses. Then I have to rotate the switch a little and it's better. But the only way to fix it long term is to change the switch.
  15. Switching the button quickly several times solved the problem only for a few days. ...I will send it for repair, before the warranty expires. :(
  16. Same switch  ...and the first after the preset footswitch begins to make problems, too :( (recognized a double press) Switching the button quickly several times seems to work. But I fear it's a short term resolving?! These problems should not appear on 1500$ board. I never had these issues on the pod500.
