"It is now possible to stream songs from the cloud"
ZenBalancer replied to Blackstar1's topic in Firehawk
You can stream from any app (like Spotify etc.) on the tablet to a connected FH unit. For the Tone matching/suggestion/filter analysis you will need to play the song through your local library through the Remote app. You can try the Knowledge Base if searches on the forum don't have enough relevance in general. -
Maybe you also won't find it for Amplifi. The latter and FH rely as far as I know completely on their "cloud system". Your options are currently limited to the respective Remote apps. Search for Firehawk in the App Store or Google Play. When you play a song from your library with the Remote app, it will do somme analysis, but the result often won't be stunning. I think there are a number of ways to search for Tones within the app.

I'm for the convenience of the feature! Time to rant: check! Although this might make this thread inconvenient.. so my bad on that regard. It's also addressed widely. No plans are public, as far as I know, for a FH desktop Remote SW (unlikely to be soon either) with more features that would at least include Batch Patch Management (akin to saving/backup-restore Banks and Bundles in Workbench HD). Currently there is no obvious way to save multiple FH Patches in the Remote app. It's one by one. There is much more storage in their cloud, and Patches saved to preset-positions onboard survive reflashes. So unless the FH unit "dies", you don't have to worry about keeping track of the positions you saved which on. You have to save edited patches with the Remote to your "cloud account" for ease of mind. Like if you edit with or live-edit without the Remote, if you are really happy with the Tone, you should save to your "cloud account". But the downside is also currently you can't easily sync all the positions and patches between multiple FH units. You could add a Remote app feature request on ideascale was it? For Batch Patch/Tone Management, or something of the like. Also handy for multiple preset-sets, to change lets say the entire or partial/significant number of the onboard set with a different set to minimize patch switching latency more conveniently for that set. And that on the go, without needing to pack in a laptop or purchase a MS Surface (non-RT) for instance (in case it becomes a desktop only feature; unlikely). FH is introduced without a desktop Remote SW, probably for the same reason they didn't simply bring out a HD500X BT-edition with a Remote tablet app, instead of an Amplifi-PodFarm-HD-FSline6StandardisedColors(from another product) floorboard in the form of FHfx as the introduction of the FH product-line. Each product-line has a different focus. In the future I can imagine the lines bluring also between these two or more entry- to mid-range product-lines. Or even for the Helix-line after prices can drop significantly (Years? Upto around half a decade? More?). The whole reason in my view that they too don't do everything for all of the product-lines (if not from the start, then also not later), in one sequence: technology phesability progression, final product costs, return on investement, different market segment opportunities, a relatively small team with limited time and resources, and lets say humane productivity levels. They did add special Patch-Packs for the HD500*, but for a price. Not many that choose a FH unit would want to pay for a relatively expensive desktop app ontop of it. But I imagine you could be one of them. For the tablet app version, they could make in-app purchases available for the extra development time. Although based on the Android app/Play Store download statistics it would currently be caped under 100.000$ (not taking multiple installs for the same user into account, not sure the statistics is based on unqiue users) of total potential project revenue for 10$ per user worth of in-app purchase added-value, that as an example. With a higher "user-conversion" rate, since we want to get the most out of the unit, so maybe 20% instead of the stereotypical 2%, it would be capped at 20.000$ budget potential for the Android version. I assume a shared-code base with the iOS version, so it should bring the total costs down with a significantly higher budget. They know their unit sales statistics, so they can easily make a fairly accurate estimate of financial pheasability. They just have other things to do. And assuming that also due to the properitary nature/trade-secrets, they don't outsource specific EXTRA SW development on a project by project basis (if relevant for this case). There is no indication the FH Remote would get that much better soon. Only a few minor maintenance and compatibility updates were released, one coupled to the introduction of the FH 1500, the other preceded it with the most recent firmware, I think. The firmware update was a significant improvement to the experience however. Line 6 like most commercial companies, has a policy that have been enforced consistently (not much leaked, with perhaps a handfull of "hypthetical exceptions"), they don't divulge all "internals" and roadmap specifics publically. That core attitude is even in their "company-DNA", from how the name even started. For a relatively small team, there is still room for more agility to expand and/or improve their existing products. There are obstacles obviously, otherwise they would have done it already. I hope they work through that. They could just hire an additional dedicated "full-stack engineer" if necessary for expanding and/or improving SW with in-app purchases. It's just that there isn't a convincing overview to base that decision on. This post doesn't have a relevant chance, besides maybe a few moments of consideration. Regardless, I will vote +1 on the following. Although currently I'm not in "dire need" of the feature (relatively new/healthy unit, that I'm carefull with, and don't need that many "live sets" to switch between, as I'm just a beginner), and also despite all of the above about the company being a given (repeatedly), can we know if the FH Remote would get Batch Patch Management at least? In case the staff coincidentally reads this, or someone else have been given that specific answer explicitly. My guess is, often they are uncertain if a feature is worth the diversion of attention, even if just temporarily for a minor feature, especially if it takes more time to implement than it would seem at first (especially when unprepared for it). If I missed something, feel free to point that out. At some point I too gotten used to using the term Patch or Tone for the multieffect units, and, Patch or Model for the Variax guitars, interchangibly within each set after hanging out on this and the vguitar forum. Also they did once made it absolute through one of my Support Tickets that the Spider Online section is old, "frozen" (paraphrased) and won't be developed further. So they do give feedback within currently known plans at least, as long as "not too revealing" I guess, and or if internally whith the company, decision defered or uncertain. On the one hand I'm hoping I missed something. On the other hand.. ..is there actually already a way to save more than one Tone at a time from and to a FH unit?
-
My "educated guess" is that it shouldn't be a problem. The FH Remote app loads the patches from the connected unit and user "cloud account". Also the app should work with the Firehawk 1500 recently introduced first during just the recent NAMM. So I see no good reason it wouldn't work with a 2nd FHfx unit. Just not simultaniously with more than one unit ofcourse. Edit1: as far as I know, you also should be able to use more than one Remote on seperate devices to any of ur FH units - one at a time; one unit to one Remote. So you should be able to mix which Remote you use with which unit, any FX unit with any of your installed Remotes at hand, and would be able to switch to any of your FH units with whichever of your devices used. You can transfer a patch from one FH unit to the other trough your "cloud account". Edit2: a solid confirmation would be a plus. Edit3: worst-case would be that you would have to restart the Remote app, not the device nor any of the FH units. The BT module LED on the FHfx unit for instance reflects a disconnected state and switches back to broadcasting its availability waiting for a connection, without issues no matter how many times I disconnected and reconnected from my stock Android tablet. The BT connection is independent of the Remote app - it can be used for streaming a stereo audio signal from any app on the connected device. Edit4: experientially, depending on an uncertain factor (at least in the Android version) of when the Remote app decides to dump the cached onboard patches or reload them in the app loading from the currently connected unit, the switching between FH units with the same device won't feel fast if you want to immediately navigate onboard patches through the Remote app, because loading all the patches is the longest process tied to the current tech, '#2' in time needed after the '#1': flashing time needed. In case it doesn't distinguish indvidual FH units from each other, then for instance you would need to restart the app if there is no button to reload them from the newly connected FH unit. The app however always (re)loads the active patch after each succesfull connection to a FH unit, it's programmed so probably because it doesn't take long. These edits and the entire post is from memory, so I could be wrong based on that alone too, if my view itself doesn't contain a flaw. MinorEdits: clarity.

A candidate for a future version of the Variax? A few key things seem more streamlined and easier than a Floyd Rose. And Intellectual Property disputes with any party are claimed to be won, and even given license to Ibanez. https://youtu.be/MYqy_zkCKK0 What do you think? Any alternative suggestions? Edit1: I've no idea how the piezo pickups could be combined with the default floating version. Perhaps looking at a different pickup tech anyway? Or a custom edition of the bridge? Edit2: clarity.

Can't install Variax USB Interface.
ZenBalancer replied to rendigar's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Does the installation process show an error message? I don't remember the installation requiring the interface at all, anyone? Nor do I remember the interface requiring the installation before being lit green on the usb side, but that might actually be needed however. From what I gather from the other reply, is that connectivity to the Line 6 authentication services has been an issue during the installation process Edit:because of user-side firewall settings, but I don't have the installation requirements in front of me. -
HELP -- JTV59 wont "turn on"
ZenBalancer replied to lwilliams's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Were you able to isolate the issue further? Did a Line 6 Service Center take a look at the vdi-power components in the hd500? Or the receiving-end on the 59? By vdi cable pull cracked vdi-sockets prolly not the culprit in this case, since only vdi-power is malfunctioning. A 59 over vdi short-circuit after all? Did you risk another variax over vdi with that particular hd500? Edit: Or risked another vdi floorboard with that particular 59? -
Installing a Triple play on a JTV 89F
ZenBalancer replied to nithlik's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Thanks for the feedback. What's in ur experience the ideal distance from the hex-pickup to the strings on the 89F? How much further past 1 mm? Yeah good site, I read a few relevant threads through google. And I knew about it from others and he explained its history in another thread. About the companies, as far as I can tell it was still to diversify their product lines. They offer a comparison view of the SY-300 and the GR-55, somewhat akin to the added page to place HD500X and Firehawk FX in perspective (although the difference between the former 2 is much bigger). Different targets, "same source". The GR-55 incorporates COSM from the VG99, so it was combining rather than advancing individually. They must have been advancing the individual tech anyway next to having now finilized their step of bringing synth possibilities to arguably much larger interest-group comparitively. Will keep an eye on the other forum as well. -
Installing a Triple play on a JTV 89F
ZenBalancer replied to nithlik's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Aren't both "FTP" and GK-3 provided with a spacer for the necessary adjustments of the hex-pickup height and angle relative to the strings' height? Don't they need to be that close anyway? I don't know how limiting that is to the tremolo range, I forgot the exact distance. Or did you compensate for extra distance by setting the hex-pickup sensitivity level higher with the GR-55? I'm not sure that the "FTP" has sensitity adjustment options, my memory is vague on that. Does tracking work well with higher sensitivity with more space? Are you going to leave the bridge mag with no ring? Customize the original ring? Any alternatives? And there I thought the custom low profile ring was a perfect solution for any Floyd Rose.. Did anyone experiment with any of those hex-pickups placed after the bridge mag not before it (just for ease)? In terms of tracking and minimal distance from the strings. Trying to see the least-resistance option in the process, to keep in mind somewhat. Based on the progression from GK-2A to GK-3, I assume GK-4(hypothetical) wouldn't be that different in shape or measurements, so the same "non-streamlined installation" for Floyed Rose guitars would remain (such as for the JTV89F, there is just too little space on the default spot for any realistic pickup design anyway). My overal installation impression:  I'm happy with the guitar though. Btw the lowest GR-55GK brand-new price in Europe (in a glance) is offered by Gear4Music (they have localized webshops). Around the same time last year it was 664~ EUR (didn't save this: https://web.archive.org/web/20150330160607/http://www.gear4music.nl/nl/Gitaar-and-Basgitaar/Roland-GR-55GKBK-Gitaar-Synthesizer-met-Pick-up-Zwart/JGF) it's like some sort of automated semi-daily price changes with a min I witnessed of 605 (if u bought anything there past 100 EUR maybe, after a few weeks last time, a "VIP" starter free memership is assigned to ur account, and another few bugs will be discounted for 6 months, some products discounted a lot more, so I could have got it for 600), and a max of 645, more often it's around 625 EUR. Used ones have to be picked up in Germany or UK, the ebayers won't ship them outside the country, and the prices are 400-550 EUR. Still not "dirt-cheap" enough for my context, and not easy to get used ones currently in NL. The price fluctuations is neglegable for the past year, if only I didn't have strong doubts about the key aspects for myself (aside installation uncertainties) relative to the price. Future NAMMs might change the field at least slightly anyway. It was fairly state-of-the-art product back then. 5 years is a significant amount of time by relevant standards, especially in a high-speed world. Helix has 4.5-6 years dedicated to it behind the scenes while its previous lines were being developed and released. Roland's next GR can't be that far off in its cycle can it? There are so many GRs alone, nvm GK-3 floorboards. Common!!! Or will Line 6 go MIDI similar to those? Head feels it starts to hurt. Edit: fixed link and exact GR bundle. -
Installing a Triple play on a JTV 89F
ZenBalancer replied to nithlik's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
This might be also relevant for the "FTP", although originally meant for the GK-3: (Disclaimer: I don't have experience with them/it yet) http://www.shapeways.com/product/X6ABHAJM8/gk-3-low-profile-bridge-humbucker-pickup-ring?optionId=57538278 Found it to be cheaper in price, also in total internationally (taking shipping into account), in comparison to the original tip about the existence of the custom pickup ring, mentioned in the helpfull threads about the GK-3 installation on the 89/F. It's intended for any Floyd Rose as far as I can tell, assuming those guitars most often have a humbucker bridge mag. It seemed to me that the "FTP" fixed-cable from the controller to the hex-pickup, is shorter than that of the GK-3, while the latter can be made shorter by rolling it within its designated space, within the controller. So it's a factor to take into account for the placement of both the controller and the hex-pickup in such cases. For most guitars it wouldn't have been an issue, but that's "the price" for the combination. So you won't be able to stick the controller as low as the GK-3-one seen here and elsewhere. I don't know whether there is a reverse-mount out-of-the-box installation-option for the "FTP" hex-pickup. I did see a Vid with GK-3 reverse-mounting on a steel-stringed Acoustic guitar. For myself, I'm hoping for a new GR unit from Roland that would minimize the latency even further for the midi sounds/synths (especially also for its midi out; noticabley more latency - concluded from reading and listening to reviews), also for the upgrade of the Nylon modeling (closer to the quality of Line 6 fw v1-2). And perhaps it would incorperate easier designation-capabilities of individual strings and fret groups to different sounds/synths, like "FTP", but instead out of the GR-box. I was disappointed with this winter NAMM in that regard (although based on a narrow focus of mine), and I prolly will be also disappointed following the next few NAMMs also in that regard; hopefully not hopeless. "FTP" doesn't do Nylon modelling, only Nylon through MIDI, and no cheap controller-only (with no sw bundle) available. I'm hoping to use a GR also for Bass, with an aproximate User Variax-Patch, OK for strings 4-6. GR-55 gives the option to consider a Bass (just needing to add the much cheaper pickup-only product), if needed. I like the poseibility. If Roland takes too long or changes direction; I then will be waiting for a significant discount on the GR-55, even though it's around half price now, compared to its introduction around Jan 2011. I'm hopefull because it has been 5 years since, and 4ish years since the last and only firmware upgrade release. But I'm keeping an eye on the GR-55 availability and prices. For my purposes (lol), the GR-55 would need to become "dirt-cheap" (used-units in Europe still are offered for too close to the current brand-new prices). I would like to be either really happy with a product, or think "it was cheap enough to be worth it", having at least a minimum level of quality and capabilities within my interest. I'm trying out jamorigin.com in the meantime for MIDI. Just a Software based solution. Signal-conversion-tracking seems promissing. For me, for now, it's worth the trade-off in possibilities and potential tracking limitations, compared to the equally "computer" dependent "FTP" (ignoring that little standalone footswitch companion unit of it, that doesn't do Nylon modelling for instance). Like for "MIDI Guitar" (jamorigin) no physical installation required; no seperate pickup - should work with any guitar. They recently released latest v2 Beta (fairly short release-cycles), also for iOS for those interested. "MIDI Bass" is currently for free, included. Their buzzword is polyphonic processing, from the impression I got. They claim a breakthrough in accuracy and performance, making it comparable to HW solutions. But in total-comparison, it can't compete with "FTP" or GR-55, but it could compete well enough for its main thing, the MIDI aspect, and the rest is up to the DAW or something MIDI compatible. It has more than enough capabilities to be usable "out of the box" though. I'll find out how well I can use it with a musical notation SW for instance. Also with Ableton Live, for which it has a plugin as well. It should be able to keep my mind off of the GR-55 for as long as possible.. Gear "Geek" Gods, give me strength! Oh my senseless hunger for "more and easy".. for no good reason in my case. Just for the fun of it. -
Certainly helpful clarification. How much did one guitar refretting cost you?May I assume one of your refretted guitars is a wornout JTV? How long did it take for its orginal frets to wearout? Under which (gauge) strings? Altough we're off-topic for a while, since such - even though mchanical - changes shouldn't effect this issue at all.
-
The reason I was uncertain about ur feedback, is because restringing a JTV-89F is something I can do myself, replacing frets isn't and is overkill for a new one that is yet to wearout. And if the string core isn't nickle, it will wearout the frets sooner than pure nickle, I think. Othrwise it's akin to a steel basebal bat with a thin coating of nickle, hitting some metal bal over and over will wearout the outer nickle, while pure nickle there is more nickle where that came frome. Of course I will keep ur cofirming tip in mind for the future. That analogy is btw pure torture on evey hit.. Couldn't think of another one.
-
You mean replacing th frets with stainless steel? That was my intention if the current ones wearout over the years (hobbyist), but I thought pure nickle strings would be gentle also bending easily. I'm not sure what the original frets are composed of. I have the sense our sentences have led to misinterpretation. Also nickle corrodes much less as well, so lifespan of the string itself even with heavy bending should be great. Do you have experince with pure nickle? Having hijacked the thead, I might as well get something out of it. :D
-
I noticed the same issue slightly on my JTV-89F as well, but not on as many Models/Pathes as others. I also noticed that I'm not bothered by it. Not to make light of the relative pains (to the point of maybe uber frustrations) of the most affected. However, I also noticed that playing with different picks (hard & soft) "brings the issue out in different lights". But the most that I notice, is playing with my thumb while palm muting, brings a clear contrast when the issue isn't as bad as with a pick. Although that's only for testing purposes only, at least I found that playing fingerstyle in combination with palm muting (same hand) isn't the most ergonomic nor comfortable thing in the world. To be on the Evil side; I'm glad I'm not alone with the issue  B) But it doesn't bother me, since I've a lot of other things to learn with it rather than focusing on palm muting riffs etc.. I've not "touched" the relevant mechanical parts, other than string height (haven't shimmed any saddle yet), nor have restringed yet. I'm glad I tested it before restringing with Pure Nickle Fender Regulars (I want to maximize frets-lifespan) instead of the Nickle Wounded one shipped with it. I know there are some good experiences with both, so I might as well get used to the Pure Nickel (same gauge: 10-46). I'm expecting the issue will either be the same or get worse, if it's indeed an unavoidable mechanical issue that the FW 'shouldn't' correct for, 'because' not everyone has the issue. I'm curious that if the JTVs (dual core processors, from what I understand, thus compatible with HX) get the HX FW (fingers crossed :)), how things will be like then in this regard in terms of undocumented and/or 'unadvertised' difference/improvements in the Modelling (btw it's still a Modeller, it models Profiled guitars, the guitars don't profile other guitars. There seems to have been a debate about whether it's correct to call these Modelling guitars; I vote yes. Don't mind my last second sidetracking; please continue the.. war on (mis-)understanding(s)? Or is it misidentification? A very subtle war; or maybe not so subtle  ). Had to add some noise to the debate ^_^ EDIT: 'grammar'. EDIT2: Although there is a non-zero-chance (based on blind possbility) that somehow "both of you" are right, but until such a notion is proven beyond doubt, I'll reitterate: -- from back at page 7

HELP! Firmware update killed my JTV69
ZenBalancer replied to yuriamorim's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Thanks! We do what we can to be sure. At least then we'll be sure it's not that or it couldn't be. There is a virtual layer for your mac that gets Windows program to work often seamlessly I think, without even virtually running the entire Windows system next to or on-top of your Mac. Some tips: http://www.howtogeek.com/187359/5-ways-to-run-windows-software-on-a-mac/ http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/114486/how-can-i-run-windows-applications-on-a-macbook-pro And there are other MD5 tools (their main function should be basically the same) for Mac/Apple/Linux/etc.. OFF-TOPIC: A family member sold his PS4 because of his.. issues; he didn't feel as happy with that in the end. -
My condition: #paranoidschizophrenia It's not your fault. Thank you for clarifying that. I'm sure I'm not the only one that might in the future reading this somewhere someday appreciate your clarity ^_^

HELP -- JTV59 wont "turn on"
ZenBalancer replied to lwilliams's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
According to some Official Demonstrators I remember saying it is a (regular?) Cat5E cable (the marking/writing on the supplied VDI cable for the USB interface itself says over the length of the cable a few times: Cat 5E, I think..; No I've checked this time: UTP ... Cat 5E, and I also checked the cover colors of the [copper? filled?] 'mechanical'/artificial 'arteries' that are filled for a better future robustness, the colors match a regular UTP Patch Cable Setup) BUT I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR WHATEVER MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOUR STUFF! Sorry man, take it easy, life is full of surprises. The good mixed with the bad and mixed with the good ~ experiences.. I'm paranoid. Yet your post seems insightful however. To me I find it helpful info. I don't know about what the current effected end-user ends up concluding.. EDIT: clarity -
Just listened to the song and lyrics; that's how I feel about (Yamaha) Line 6 man.. (also?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X6e7uctAww Aaaah you did say Eddie's version, only AMV was top one (didn't check it though; checked it now, it's not AMV, I was mislead; I don't know the difference between those and Eddie's version, although the lyrics page points to a Eddie Money? Or is it the guy that noted the lyrics? Anyway, I'm out): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Q31a4ZbN-c Lyrics: I don't want a physical kill switch, just my view, but indeed as you pointed out, if the overload issue is legit, then the FW should take care of what should not be happeaning or what shouldn't be switched on simultaneously. Because the product shouldn't be letting you kill it unknowingly. Should it? I vote no. EDIT(2015-09-03): added Eddie's version AMV (didn't check it though) + I know now that I don't know.

I'm not technically a reject myself, but that's 'how I originally' might been perceived when as a kid (with my parents; one of mine has been 'down' for over 5 years [natural causes], I got over that, I'm not sure I will get over the one I've still got left) I got asylum in the country and later when I got older was rightfully been placed in an asylum/#paranoidschizophrenia (been there/confirmed, twice/2-periods). I'm just a white guy, that has a big mouth, bigger than his own good. I use color to represent something like a traffic lights, some things that should stop, and some things that are fine, in my worldview, not imposed on you or others. Your feedback is specific to me, mine is general/'broadcasting' what's on my mind. Although colors in China on the trading-floor is reversed, so I might be as well been giving a go-ahead for something I don't even understand; what the lollipop is happening? Well, eventually something/an-event (hopefully nothing ominous) or someone will clarify. In this case, I'm not crazy. My further interpretations, however, might be. I'm not even sure how this post, what I've written right here, is supposed to be interpreted. I have a good will, however, I think. I don't want to be out of line. I'm keeping my colors, to a minimum. When I do use colors, and no one is sure about my intent, point me clearly. Because Tom & Jerry, was only funny, because it wasn't real.. EDIT: If there is an intended distribution of (Yamaha) Line 6 JTV/etc.. guitars within certain continents, and/or areas, then they should be labeled clearly. And sold as such! Like specific dealers tend to do with their own stock. This way you keep the financial losses to a minimum, without risking brand quality losses and the consequential possible yet again financial losses. Right now, currently, I've the feeling based on feedback over here, that the dealers are being duped by their own policy, or by a certain level of pragmatism. I want to change that. Because this is not cool. EDIT: from typo to spelling intent + clarity.

JTV69S Piezo parts ?
ZenBalancer replied to kmsh's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
If you want relevant attention to your issue/request/query, change the Topic/Thread name/title, for instance to: JTV69S Piezo parts shipping to or in Europe? Where? Because otherwise based on the name/title alone you might seem like a lazy person that doesn't want to use Google Search, or want/except everything handed to you. I doubt that to be in your case. I can't help you out of my head. My 0.5ct EDIT: boldness. -
Neither should the Universe have anything to do with it, except applying its force of nature, and accepting manipulations by biological creatures, especially humans as we are afteral. It's human hands, and life-mistakes. Well, I'll not be a victim of life-mistakes without putting up a fight of my own. I'll not be caught in another, however romantic, delusion about a dynamic between me, or anyone else, and a supposed 'will' of the Universe. All I care about is 'Earth', and my 'stuff'; the Universe seems to be a necessity for that and us EDIT: on/in it respectively (out of context could be consensually?) /EDIT, for those remaining behind at least; a context I reference just in case anyone has the opportunity to be part of an interplanetary colonization and/or partial migration; since we're speaking in silly digressions anyway ^_^ also well meant though. I realize when I thought like that in the past, pre-post-spirituality for me, I was discrediting the good work of the people whom?/who?/anyway.. I was discrediting their efforts that made the difference, not the 'box'/'container' we live in/on. I realize we're even as individual humans just a collection of cells, so every 'bit' counts, so I don't want to nor have to let dismiss anyone, and I'm sure enough agree. It's about pointing at basic (possible) human-error; for a 'fix'; not 'deflecting' nor romanticizing about any notion, especially not when the clarification of a specific point agreed upon would not benefit from that. Also: lol <- also my hands are up for a moment in some form of solidarity! I'm not sure I surrender entirely just yet though to the forces/or-what-not. EDIT: I'm also deep-down a coward, hence doing this remotely; if that compels anyone to be unlike me, I'm not taking the responsibility for that! EDIT#?: Notice that I used the cosmetic ones after and in the context of the unacceptable ones, as an argument for what could be ALSO not correct about it if looked into it further; and it still shouldn't be the norm: being saddled with something the end-user DID NOT ASK FOR just to pass it as passable/EDIT:acceptable(/EDIT); leaving it to the judgement of the end-user? Is that what they're doing at QC's specific or general shifts? Well, it's going back! It matters to me. Not directed at anyone specific: I might be an lollipop/a-hole (if it's lollied again) for possibly being the reason someone might lose their job (if you've any decent manager, the judgement should not be out of proportion), BUT I WILL NOT BE IN A PRISON OF MY OWN MIND JUST BECAUSE THE NORM IS AT FIRST WALKING AROUND/ON EGGSHELLS, AROUND EVERY MISTAKE ANY HUMAN EVER MADE! I WILL POINT, if it's just not correct.. I'm past that point; I've the right to be passed that point; my right should be clear. I make mistakes? Point me at them, then I might at least register it in my mind. Maybe an improvement could follow automatically. Who knows. EDIT: However, after having experienced what I did, I don't want to go back.. on so many levels. I want a good JTV-89F right here. EDIT#?: 'cosmic disqus dafaq out of it'! EDIT#?: Now this lollipop from now on goes/is wayback: https://web.archive.org/web/20150901140733/http://line6.com/support/topic/15432-yamaha-line-6-jtv-89f-kcrafted-in-korea-factory-issues-the-return-to-the-dealer-saga/ EDITs: added a further ('broadcasting') response + layout + clarity.

Bingo! Well, nothing won. And happiness is so relative. I've just setup my own example of what you just described in terms of a counter-approach: (Yamaha) Line 6 JTV-89F (K/Crafted in Korea) - Factory Issues (The Return to The Dealer 'Saga') Because if we don't do it like that, I'm not sure the 'experience'/'lesson' will be registered well enough to lead to improvements. Any eventually bottom-line-driven company will feel it when the finances show it. Yet actually the dealer's might actually not bother to give all of the feedback they get; either blaming the shipping, themselves, just finding it easier to just sell it as alternative stock or the like; in the end a lot of the feedback gets lost in the 'mail'/'in-transit'.

My 5th JTV-89F (Korea) - 14 August 2015 batch from Yamaha Europe (NEW - SEALED BOX - making a case for this one's return as well): This situation is still in progress. Despite it not having any of the other relevant issues, something isn't right with the guitar Neck back-side/thumb-placement-surface. There are 2 points (under string ~#4 between fret 4-5 and 8-9) of relevant imperfections/dents that is tactically felt each time passing over it; annoys me also to no end. The other 4 didn't have this issue. The 1st I tested most thoroughly, and I never felt such a relevant imperfection with the others either as far of those I got around to testing that aspect as well. It's very difficult to capture optically with a meh phone-camera, but I think it's still visible (yet it's about the feel of it, for 5-10 years; regretting not taking action when it's not my fault!): Its original photo: - https://www.dropbox.com/s/09zw3x4cnv0bf1l/2015-08-27_00-28-08_237.jpg?dl=0 Its original photo: - https://www.dropbox.com/s/f2xqbpsy541fdis/2015-08-27_00-32-24_331.jpg?dl=0 I'm not going to decrease the value, nor risk void my warranty by any indication because of my own actions; just to (try to) 'fix' a DAMNED NEW GUITAR. Full price! Give me a good one.. That. Is. Not. A. Lot. To. Ask. For. Or, so, I, thought.. Do you want to have an idea what I think is, or isn't a relevant imperfection? The following is an irrelevant imperfection (that was present in 2-4 out of the 5 guitars (I noticed during my glance inspections; this wasn't even important enough to register properly, except now with the 5th for a contrast): I don't know the reason, possibly something to do with their screwdriver? I don't care, it's irrelevant; the slightest feel of the guitar Neck however, isn't; it's very, very relevant. EDIT: correction.
