  1. we never know until the come out
  2. if i get what your saying, just move the looper like you would any effect. key over to the looper, hit the move button and move to the pre position, hit move again.
  3. even though i know little to nothing about recording i follow this thread because i kind of take offense to the heading and want to establish for myself if the claims are accurate. so i went to the products page and scoped the description. all i have to say is within 2 minutes i found what i would call the obvious. and i only say this because of what i learned from reading this thread. if i were reasonably knowledgeable to recording, i could determine from the statement, "stagescape is not designed to record into your daw." if that's what i had in mind, i would inquire at the time i was ready to purchase. maybe one of you guys can tell me if i get the gist.
  4. i use dr's. they last. i can only remember breaking one hi e. (memory cells subject to loss). i've been using them for a while, can't remember the actual years. :( i normally use eh-11 tite fit. the gauge sizes are 11, 14, 18, 28, 48, 50. i've also tried bulk strings from just strings.com. you can pick your own gauge and you get 12 each at about 40-50 bucks including shipping. they claim the strings are name brand name but because they're bulk they can't reveal the name. i had good luck with them. maybe i'll try them again
  5. searching both 400 & 500 manuals for guitar in z, i only find it in the 500. though, when i use this function, i really only find a tonal change
  6. here's some reading on the latter http://line6.com/support/message/485594#485594
  7. personal preference aside, depending on how it's connected; both sound great. i use both settings.
  8. The control 2 requires no setup and simply connects to the DigiTech GSP1101 via a single cable that supplies both power and control signals, making stage setup quick and easy. sorry man, i read it wrong
  9. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Control2?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&device=c&network=g&matchtype=&gclid=CNCJpsWY-LYCFcIv4AodcUMAFQ if this is the gear you used, it supply's power to the modeler. so maybe you supplied power to something that doesn't want power
  10. if something requires a certain amount of current and doesn't get it' it could run hot
  11. i would try headphones and a different amp. then if that doesn't work reflash and and global reset.

  13. if line6 stuff is good enough for steve howe than it's good enough for me
  14. feels good to see such an iconic player using the same stuff i do. where's his axe fx?
  15. if you don't already know, the old forum was was spammed out the butt for about 3 weeks, practically every minute or 2 and line 6 couldn't handle it so the stymied the spammer by building a new site.
  16. you want that DT head...you NEED that DT head !!!
  17. "If I turn the knobs as described above the EDITED icon lights up." when you turn the knobs, other than the output level, that patch is immediately edited
  18. A POD is an expensive power-supply. I won't sacrify my high-end amp-sim-rig for a POD just to power the variax. The problem is solved using an external powersupply and a custom stereo cable. On stage I feed power from a high-capacity-powerpack shared with a wireless transmitter. On top of that I've put Bare Knucle pickups with coiltap using pickup-rings with 2 switches on each ring. 2 switches activate coiltap individually for each pickup. A 3rd switch toggles between split-coils and serial-coils and the 4th switch is connected as a circuitbreaker for the internal battery. That's the best flexibility I can achieve. What remains to be done is a plek-job on the frets, a new (better cut) nut and a set of Gotoh locking tuners which should fit with no modification and...?
