px2 is for pod 2.0, pod xt, pod x3 . this is the pod hd forum. the px2 is 9 volt AC and is the p.s. for those units. the p.s. has to be alternating current (AC). 9VAC @ 2 Amps. the hd is direct current (DC). 9(VDC) @ 3 Amps. i'm assuming you have one of the previous pods since you mention the px2. the p.s. for the earlier models must be 9VAC (alternating current) @ 2 AMPS the p.s. for the hd must be 9VDC (direct current) @ 3 AMPS

i would verify it is the speaker/amp by using another guitar. then try tightening screws and nuts that may be loose. then get another speaker with the same specs and substitute the original. i wouldn't buy one until i was certain it is the speaker. i suppose you can't hear the buzz on the distortion channel.

Carlos Santana - Europa / Treadplate + Soldano Clean Amp Models
toneman2121 replied to wolbai's topic in POD HD
nice, clean. i wouldn't think of being critical but i think the only thing that might make your recording better is a little less reverb and a little less high end. perhaps a little more drive to try and get more overtone during your sustained notes. again. i not being critical the recording and playing was very interesting. -
i remember when this amp came out. i wanted one but the price was out of sight for me

Battery Drain W/variax Off
toneman2121 replied to pheld's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
he wants to know WHY it drains almost as fast on power save mode as power on mode. either that is the way the circuit is designed or there is a fault in the circuit. it could be that both batteries are bad or the charger is bad. if he got a fresh battery it would eliminate the battery, but i think the circuit is bad. i understand he wants to have it plugged in since he uses the magnetic pick ups 95% of the time and just turn the volume down to engage sleep mode and you can't play without draining the battery at a high rate even though your using the magnetic pick ups. it is a waste of energy. -

so here are your choices. submit a support ticket, troubleshoot the circuit in the case of a fault, unplug the guitar cord, live with it. i'm sure nobody here can give you the answer you want. i think there is a fault in the circuit -

Battery Drain W/variax Off
toneman2121 replied to pheld's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
in which post did you mention 2 batteries? has anyone else had this experience? it may be possible both batteries are defective. maybe the sleep mode circuit is bad. maybe the charger is defective. obviously, there is current leakage if in fact there is a fault. you will have to troubleshoot the circuit to find the fault, if any. in which case, you will have to have specifications of the circuit or compare the findings to a known good one. changing the battery will be the easiest and less time consuming. try a different cord. how do you expect anyone to answer your question when you know all the answers but still can't determine the problem. maybe it's supposed to act that way. if so, unplug it. done -

if the knobs are like the knobs on the podxt, there is a metal spring clip inside that grasps the shaft shaped like a pair of small tweezers that are bent in at the tips and apply pressure against the shaft. the only way to remove them is to pry them off. to do this i took 2 small screwdrivers and placed them on either side of the knobs and applied even upward pressure but not before applying some electrical tape to the panel surface where the drivers would contact. also, it might be possible to crush the plastic with a small pair of vice grips. tightening only a small amount at a time. there is a vid of the removal procedure for the xt
