  5. i think a real amp along with some choice pedals is the best way to go. as far as running through an amp or a p.a. it all depends on you. i read that people get excellent results going direct. if you want the convenience of caring a ten pound modeler, use that. check the different modelers out there not just line6's hd
  6. call me once and leave a message, shame on me, call me twice and leave the same message shame on you

  11. start by re-calibrating the expression pedal. park the volume knob at zero before you select a patch. re-install the firmware
  12. well i'm american and although the home button is mentioned one time in the manual, it doesn't point to which button. so i don't know where the hell it is either. the whereabouts of the home button remains a mystery regardless of nationality :)
  13. i think SF is short for san francisco. but what do i know. call line 6. fastest way to get answers
  14. " But if the tuner is incorrect pressing a "g" on any other string on the guitar, most probably your hd is a case for the service centre" OF COURSE! why didn't anyone else think of that, ...check the g note on another string. brilliant! :)
  15. what about the stars on your profile page
  16. What a Fish story! (from the wd40 site) Myth: WD-40 contains fish oil. Fact: Consumers have told us over the years that they have caught some of the biggest fish ever after protecting their fish hooks and lures withWD-40. We believe this legend came from folks assuming that the product must contain fish oil since it appears to attract fish. Sorry Charlie®, it just ain’t so. WD-40 Company has taken steps to respect and conserve the environment, and encourages its users to do the same. While WD-40can be used to help protect fishing equipment from rust and corrosion,WD-40 Company does not recommend using WD-40 to attract fish ...just wanted to clear that up. i only used wd40 because that's what i had on hand and my radio is old and cheap as you see i recommend electronics cleaner
  17. it might be stuck because of dirt, oily crap or whatever. electronics spray cleaner will probably do the trick. get stuff specifically for ELECTRONICS. radio shack has it. evaporates quickly and leaves no residue. i can relate a similar experience that i had with the volume button on my radio in my truck. when i raised the volume, the button stuck and maxed out. LOUD! i used wd40. only because it was old and cheap. i haven't had trouble since. just spray it in there between the button and the panel and work the button, power off firstly. wait 5 minutes for it to evaporate and try it. if it doesn't work, do it again. if it doesn't work after two or three times, then i guess you have a problem. you can also get a dry film lube. use it after you clean the button. it cost about twice as much. it's a very thin film that will help keep the buttons from sticking. make sure it has a relatively high dielectric property (doesn't conduct electricity). it's probably not necessary. it won't hurt anything. i had an old tv, tube type, rca brand. made in america. it was right in front of a open screened window. it started raining and i forgot to shut the window. and it was plugged in. it didn't get soaked. the rain drops were diffused through the screen. i made sure it dried out and it worked fine for a long time; just to make a point about moisture and electricity. https://www.google.com/search?q=potentiometer+cleaner+spray&rlz=1C1TSNP_enUS506US507&aq=1&oq=Potentiometer+cleaner&aqs=chrome.1.57j0l3j62.1892j0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  18. are the legs attached to the board? well anyway, the 220 is the value of the component measured in farads (i think that's a guys name). like a resistor is measured in ohms. one ohm is not a very large value so the component is small. one farad is a large value so the component is big and 220 would be huge. so in order to avoid putting a bunch of zero's before the decimal point, symbols are used. uF is micro Farad and pF is pico Farad which are parts of a Farad. the value is 220, and since it's not marked, i would guess it's micro. but you have to find out before replacing it. the voltage rating can be higher but not less.
  19. the g tunes when using other tuners
  20. i drive a 2000 f150 with 225,000 miles. i'll go rent a 2013 caddy. i'll let you know which one i like better
  21. the man said he's getting rid of his hd because he can't get what he wants out of it. i said here we go again. he asked me why i said it. i said i wasn't going to argue. my point is how the lollipop can you compare a $400 unit to a $2000 unit. check it-lollipop for the expletive. cool. i'll probably get a warning point for that
