Pod Hd Pro No Sound From Guitar And Blue Screen Crashes
toneman2121 replied to Agile830's topic in POD HD
here are a couple of things to look at while your waiting for a more knowledgeable individual http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2222 http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2334 http://line6.com/support/community/support/pod_support/pod_hd?view=documents this last link is a page to all documents; something might help. keep in mind that the hd500 and desktop models are very similar and some of the documents concerning them might help. you should do a global reset, it might possibly help with the bsd -
two different subjects 1 equipment problems 2 technical issues

if you want new features this is not the place to ask See that in itself is just plain "wrong headed" in my opinion... Why shouldn't Line 6 use the forums as a guide for what their users (and the people that pay their salaries) want in the product? so line6 has to look through the hundreds of threads to find out what everybody wants. why not have people submit requests so all of them are in one place?!

i had this happen to my xt. the pot has to be replaced. i did try cleaning it with spray cleaner and it did help. the scratchy sound was reduced but not eliminated. i wound up contacting line6 and they sent a new one at no charge. guess what...it wound up being the wrong one. so i called them and they sent me the correct one, also at no charge. all this in about a week and a half

Sound Bleeding Through When Guitar Volume Pot. On 0
toneman2121 replied to StephenSLR's topic in POD HD
i don't really have an answer for you except that some how a signal must be leaking from your guitar. if there is no signal, it can't be amplified, do you have another guitar with active pups? if you installed the pot, check the wiring -
Sound Bleeding Through When Guitar Volume Pot. On 0

what kind of guitar are you using? -
"what if you and\or the majority of the "volunteers" decide to stop answering questions for personal reasons?" you can submit a suppot ticket
-
i would call line6 and ask them about that, since you already had it replaced under warranty. maybe they have a lemon law.
-
i replaced the volume pot in my xt and yes the screen was attached by ribbon. i'm assuming it's the same with the 500. the only small pain for the xt was pulling or wedging the knobs off. they were held on by metal clips that were inside the plastic knob, shaped like a small pair of tweezers with the ends curved inward. i used 2 small screwdrivers and placed them under the knob and with even pressure pried them up. i hope they're not the same. protect the surface with some heavy tape

why say i want this i want that it won't do any good posting here submit a feature request that's all you can do
-
i'll say this for the final and 10th time, line6 won't respond to request posted here. you have to submit a feature request.what are ya stooopid  and even if there were an update coming, they wouldn't announce it :(

press on. cap'n ;) i haven't done it, but with your experience, i don't think you should worry. the only problem i foresee would be that if the pcb was secured with the solder points facing in such a way, that would facilitate removing it for access
