  1. read the manuals. download line6 monkey. that's where you start
  2. if you can switch out the piezo on the the b and e, you can confirm a piezo fault
  3. i think you should have little to no noise in stby. did this happen gradually or suddenly? is the noise present when the amp is on? when did you buy it?
  4. one output to a. one output to b. i think
  5. perhaps there is an problem with the usb that was undisclosed when you bought it. there are other people much more informed than i am on this so hang in there and if it can be resolved they will know how to do it. you can also submit a support ticket to line6 directly. go to your account page, the submission form is there.
  6. did you purchase your hd400 new or used? are you sure you are following the procedure correctly? try uninstalling line6 software with the uninstaller and start from the beginning.

    Dots

what do the dots mean below your avatar?
  8. i would think with a different type amp you would have to tweak it again or maybe change output modes
  9. a dampened soft cloth like a microfiber cleaning cloth should take care of any heavy dirty areas like spilled dried liquids (beer, coffee, bong water) or use it dry for light dust/dirt. an electronics cleaner can be sprayed into the switches and knobs. then rotate the knobs and work the switches to clean. this stuff drys very quickly and leaves no residue. to go one step further, you can also get a dry film spray lube designed for electronics that has a high dielectric property (will not conduct electricity). spray sparingly and wipe over-spray. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/LPS-Greaseless-Lubricant-2JFD7 http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/CRC-Electronic-Cleaner-1YHN8?cm_sp=IO-_-IDP-_-RR_VTV70300505&cm_vc=IDPRRZ1
