I don't think a product like this can or should be true bypass. What is important is whether or not there is ANY tone suck when it is on with no effects or amp blocks activated. If the tone is perfectly passed to your amp, true bypass is irrelevant. I would hope at this price they have top notch A/D converters and true high fidelity components throughout the entire audio path. This is not the unit to pinch pennies on at the component level...

listening to the video again the wahs sound much better. They are all totally new? No more of that harsh top end? How many?

can the looper be time synced to other gear or a DAW? trying to loop to a drum track with the 500 is useless...

Seriously? Its Line 6, there aren't any detailed docs for some released products! DI indicated that they believe it is so intuitive there won't be much besides a cut sheet with it...

yeah, I really want this to work with my DT and in fairness, DI has has said that feature would not be there at release, not that it can't be done. Sounds like the system has lots of room for future development. I expect they will add that at a later update.

HD series was not too hard to introduce clipping or overdrive an effect in an unpleasant way. Does Helix address this in any way? Clipping indicators for instance? Level meters?

how does it handle output modes or does it even use them? Can I send Studio Direct to the board and Comb/Stack to my amp at the same time?

how is it with Variax acoustics? anything special for acoustic stuff? any new synth effects?

anybody have the dimensions? will it fit the same case as a 500?

Does that mean no preamp models? Just the full amp models that can obviously be played through a tube amp if you want to?

It has L6 link so does it fully integrate with DT amps?

Actually get a tingle up my leg every time I use this rig... lol Seriously, nothing like that touching the trim ring, just the noise. I am connected by VDI to the POD and L6 link to the DT so I doubt its a ground loop because of the way I am connected. Will have to investigate further...

That's what confuses me. My other guitar doesn't have the same issue, the other pickups have no issue, no other part of the guitar has an issue, just the trim ring... I will probably have to pull the pickguard and see how to ground the trim ring... Anyone already done something similar? I know Line6 says I will go blind and my d!ck will fall off I ever see what is actually under there... lol...

My JTV-69 has developed a serious noise issue when playing with mags. I was getting a lot of noise with mags and it seemed to vary depending on where my hands were, where I had the guitar positioned, like it was totally intermittent. Last night I finally isolated the problem. It only happens if any part of my picking hand touches the humbucker pickup trim ring. No issues touching anything else, bridge, knobs, trem, all good. But while I am playing, if my pinkie resting on the pickguard touches the trim ring or my palm on the other side of the strings, I get a loud hum with static. This only happens when I turn off the modeling. Modeling on, no noise ever. Modeling off, it happens every time I touch the trim ring. I am connected by VDI to my HD500, with a fully charged battery. Any suggestions on where to begin with this?
