can't say that I do... but i would try other mics and cables... look for any trim settings or any sort of "+20db" type booster settings.

Vote For A Lefty James Tyler Variax
TheRealZap replied to Amperzand's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
come on now... he was just suggesting a path forward... just because it wasn't a post in absolute agreement with you doesn't make it a bad post.... not to mention you could always save a ton of cash get a used one... that would have no warranty to void... again not ideal... but an innocent path forward... so calm down a bit- 52 replies

yes, you need to change the extension, or drag and drop them into hd500x edit.
-
Yes you are correct... for now... they gave you the tool to use...and it cost you nothing... they will eventually add pod support (not even the 500x works with the new workbench) but i think they wanted to release it now... rather than make everyone wait... not everyone owns a pod... but everyone who bought a new JTV has an interface... (and probably the majority of 2nd hand owners) certainly nothing to get upset about... if you want YOU can wait until they fix it and keep your precious interface new... you can while the rest of us do our thing :)

Version 2.0 Hd Update
TheRealZap replied to geebake's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Workbench HD, now has capabilities that are specific to the JTV's... i'm sure you'll find lots more... you also have access to the high gain pickup models from the 89. i find the update to be a very dramatic difference.. the difference between the models sounds more pronounced... anyway... good initial review! but there's more to find :) -
the models should be the same except as noted below. he Tele bank is not the same as in the original variax (and JTV). The “Mud cap†wiring modeled in position 4 previously is no longer included. The bank now uses a Tele custom (solidbody) body for all positions and the pickups for each patch are: Tele single coil bridge pickup Fender Wide Range Humbucker bridge pickup Tele Single coil bridge pickup + Tele single coil neck pickup Fender Wide Range Humbucker neck pickup Tele single coil neck pickup.
