Thanks for your input on this. It's gotta make one wonder.

Oh Yeah! "Murphey's Law", lol. Getting a battery back up device wouldn't be a bad idea.

Since the power tubes run colder in LVM I would say that this mode should be easier on the power tubes thus making them last longer? Am curious is all. I use the LVM on my DT50HD and it sounds great for practicing at home and monitoring and recording digitally with the Direct Out.

I used the looper a few times and don't use it much. I remember having to make adjustments to the play back. I suppose it's workable but I just wish I could use it for drum sequences, lol. I'll check out your post.

Your Welcome Dude! This from the knowledge base. I think I did a thread on it a while ago, I'll see if I can dig it up, but this should help.
-
I saw your thread earlier about some issue you may've had but I suppose you got it through that ok. Great to hear to like them too 'cause I know you got good tones with your punk style guitar. Rock On Brothers! I'll be next at some point, lol.

A thread is like box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get, lol Good thread, Bad thread what the hecks the difference once it goes off topic, lol. Whenever I read a thread It's like exploring a piece of land that no man has been before. It's always like an adventure. Somehow I always learn something new. :)

So your saying you like them. It's great to be able to use the models without a computer connected. Which is why I like my X3 Pro and HD500. Will post some sound bytes later? Have fun 'A"!

You may need to reflash the firmware. Do you use an FBV Pedal with it? Have you tried plugging your guitar into the AUX input if you do make sure you check the input level? Usually after I've tried to eliminate all the easy things to check I'll reflash the firmware.

At some point in the life of people who use digital devices they must get the nerve to update the software on them and learn how to maintain it also. Generally, I don't just "tippy toe" in the water I just jump in but only after testing the depth so as not to break my neck. lol. I wouldn't gig with it until I used the update for a while in order build confidence. This raises the question don't guitarist's have a back up that they can switch to if they have an issue with their amp on stage? I would think I would have an AB switch that I could run to just in case, lol, or a sound guy that immediately kicks in with the switch. Surely there must be a plan. :) As soon as I can, I plan on "taking on" these model packs Line 6 created, somehow I just know I'm not going to regret it and if I do I've got 30 days to complain. Plus since "Peter" explained one way to use the "para EQ" I'm having more fun since shaping the tone of an amp can do wonders. Although I do like the RAW sound of an amp from time to time. :) I really dig the fact that I can use modeling to get the different amp sounds. After all, if I had to buy all those amps I would have to store them and maintain them which would cost me a fortune. Not to mention the amount of noise I would make while trying to record them, lol. To me it's "Amazing and Very Cool". As for the original topic I do not feel like a second class customer since I've had more good experiences than bad with Line 6 products plus they've taught me a thing or two about digital recording and made it fun for me to learn about computers and playing guitar. I kinda feel like this thread is more sarcastic than sincere, lol.

Sorry, I never thanked you for posting the cool video arislaf. Thanks Man!

They're added to the existing models in the pod.

DT50HD Output Suddenly Went Silent, Any Ideas Why? And More...
Brazzy replied to Brazzy's topic in DT50 / DT25
Since I've been without my DT50 for a short while I've been playing with the HD500 into a Jet City Picovalve JCA12S+ Half Stack. This little rig sure does sound pretty good and since I've been getting better at using the Pod I make patches in short order. It's only 5 watts at Max but it's loud. I'm not saying it's better than the DT50 but it sure is easy to set up and play. I've even set up some stereo patches using the Spider Jam with Picovalve. Sounds Great! Line 6 delivered my DT50 and I still have to fire it up and put it to the test. I'll be back! I've been busy with computer setup since my 7 year old Vaio AR630E's video card pooped out. Right now I've been trying to sort out an issue with RiffWorks not rewireing Ableton since I had to reinstall everything on a new/old Vaio VGN-CR290. Carry On! Rock On!- 56 replies

Good One!, LOL, I like the sarcasism in this forum. Hahaaa There's always a place for an effect, right? Hahahaa Like my Grandmom used to say "There's an A** for every seat" and thus "There's an effect for every slot". LOL She also said "Every fox smells it's own hole". LOL Not sure what that has to do with anything, suppose I was having too much fun with Grandma's Ol sayings. :) Carry On! "Nuth'in to see here" BTW: I liked all the videos.

I like to use the Aux input so I can add some delay and reverb. Sounds great using the HD500. I've noticed that when I plug into the Aux input I must make sure I have the record set function set to Mic otherwise I get the amp models. I know it sounds weird but that's the way mines been working. I can also the tone stack for the AUx input to shape the sound like a global EQ. The CD input works good also since it has no effect whatsoever. The only issue I can see with the CD is that it's a weak 1/8" input connecter which can cause issues. The 1/4" connector is much better. I also use the guitar input sometimes using the "green" Clean model and add some delay and reverb with the tone stack set to 50%.along with the drive and volume. With the HD500 I run the left mono 1/4" out into the Aux or Guitar input with the pod set to either "combo front" or "studio direct". I create my patches with the pods master at 50%,

I get my DT50 back in 2 days. Can't wait to warm it up and make it sing, So your saying it's fixed now? and it needed more work after you got a second opinion? Who is your Gu Ru? :)

I've been learning how to play the keys off and on with the Line 6 KB37 Studio. So much else can be done with it too. I'm happy I got it and am improving slowly with playing the keys. I didn't think I could learn to play it either but learning a bit here and there.has proved otherwise.

I think the Tech 21's look good for the Pods. I use a Spider Jam and Spider III 75 which work good. I know there's a member here that uses them and liked them, maybe he'll pop in.
-
As others have stated. In the Line 6 Audio control panel you have to select "mic".

Good going. This amp is something special. We who use it must be on top of the workings of it, lol. I just got a tracking number for mine so it's on its way home. Can't wait. 😄ðŸ‘

Dat-a-Boy rads. Way to make use of that cool image. LOL I try to keep up with what's going on in the forum but recently I've been trying to rid my computer of Malware and Trojans. L😲L. The funny thing is my laptop ain't been right since I fixed someone else's laptop. AAAARGH or was I actually successful in fixing it L💩L

So true. We all know it's so new it needs a good testing period before it's proven.

It's sadistic to get us HD500 "non X" Users" , lol, all revved up and ready and then poke a bunch of holes in our sails. Don't ya think??!!

What's the best footswitch for changing channels on the DT50
Brazzy replied to Brazzy's topic in DT50 / DT25
I never got a foot switch for the DT50. I've tried a momentary switch box that I used with my UX2. It's momentary that uses a mono cable and if you pressed the switch and held it the DT switched channels but if you let off the switch it changed back. So I would say a mono latching is whats needed. I was just using the HD500 via L6 link or just going into the front of the DT for the most part. I think this one is the one I would need for the DT50. I think the DT25 is different in that I thought I read somewhere that the reverb could be also be controlled, not sure though. The DT50 can only switch channels as far as I know. This one's mono latching. http://hosatech.com/product/fsc-384/ Footswitch Guitar-style, Single-latching The FSC-384 footswitch by Hosa Technology is an incredible value. A sturdy, extruded aluminum chassis makes it strong enough to withstand the rigors of the road. Simply connect a 1/4 in TS cable (sold separately) from the footswitch to the unit you wish to control, and you’re set. A latching footswitch is designed for guitar amp channel switching, signal processor on-off switching, and similar electronic device functions. Consult your owner’s manual to ensure compatibility. Connector: 1/4 in TS -
I was under the understanding that the bias is not affected by the voicings. I can't check it 'cause my DT50 HD is still in for servicing. I don't think your going to get much concrete info on this but my hopes are high. The III voicing was always the noisiest for me, sounded good when played though. Have you done a support ticket? or called Line 6? You should if you haven't. Good Luck I'll be following.
