  1. mtreehugger has it right! I called Line 6 too. I would update your amp and go for it! Now I can't wait to get mine back, lol. Last time I did it I was plugging the guitar into the front of the DT. I wasn't using a Pod.
  2. Cool, I've got more options! Your the Man! I wasn't sure they all worked at the same time. :)
  3. I'll call them when they open up. I think another 20 minutes at least.

    DEP Parms

Great funny nastyness! Ahahahaaaaahhhhh! Now where's that possum?!!! lol
  5. Your Welcome! I might call them later and ask them. If you get an answer would you post it back? Also, I'll post back when I get an answer. Rock On!
  6. I did the update and was using the Direct Out into my UX2 while in LVM and in standby of course the speaker was connected since I'm using the "Head". It worked for me but then about a month later the amp stopped working and I had to send it in for warranty work. They said they had to replace the main board, tubes and TSB 059. I didn't have it long after I got it back since it stopped working after about 12 hours so I didn't get a chance to try it again. When I get it back this time I'll try it again 'cause I liked what I heard. If you want a more direct answer I suggest you call Line 6 or do a Support Ticket.
  7. Sounds like you've got something to look forward to. :) It's always nice to suddenly have a new feature.
  8. I hear ya and your not alone. This amp is complicated inside. I just send it to Line 6 when work is needed. You should do a support ticket anyway. I would call Line 6 about your amp and see if it's one of those that may still be under warranty. Get the serial number of the amp and call them with it. Ask them if it may still be under warranty. Some of these amps had obvious issues and the serial number will help them help you.
  9. The amp may have blown a fuse and may need power tubes. Is your amp new? I would do a support ticket with Line 6.
  10. I recall I was in LVM and I use the DT50 HD although I don't think the combo is much different in this manner. I haven't tried the other way yet but sounds like I need to try that too.
  11. I know mine was working in standby. I only used it 3 times like that in a week then it broke and I had to send it away for work. When I got it back I didn't get a chance to try it again since I only got about 12 hours out of it and it went back for service. When I get it back I'll try it. The recordings I got from the direct out sounded really good to me, I was impressed. My samples: DT50 Direct Out into UX2
  12. I found it pretty painless. Here's a thread I created when I updated my DT50 the first time. DT50 firmware update (my notes) Here's Line 6 Knowledge base on the update Here's what the update gives you
  13. Seems like something all together different, for sure. Hopefully thay can get it fixed for ya and it be reliable.
  14. I was able to use the direct out on standby and I was using the latest firmware.
  15. Your Da Man! Thanks So it looks like the EQ's are True Stereo.
  16. If you can open this doc it shows which effects are stereo/mono. http://line6.com/support/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=774 Found it here > http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-hd/stereomono-fx-list-for-pod-hd-r567 If you know program opens that doc please let me know, lol.
  17. Cool :) I think I just learned something, Thanks
  18. Was just wondering? I haven't even tried it yet, lol. I've gotta toy around with it one day. It's probably going to give me laugh. You never know, I might be able to get down Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way". LOL
  19. I agree, wiggling the tubes may have done the trick. Although, I've tried the wiggle thing and cleaning the contact points thing and never had success. It's been my experience with electrical things that rarely does the device just stop making noise or stop working while in use but once you power it down the next time you power it up the problems show their ugly face which usially means no joy.
  20. That ain't right. Although you got it working.
  21. I don't think it's normal. The last patch is what should pop up. Are you saving the patch before you shut it down? If not try that and see what gives. I always edit with the Pod and save with the Pod.
  22. Getting rid of the vice is always a good measure to moving on. Let me know when you need a reliable amp tech of course a bit of training would be involved, lol. I love that sort of thing and was thinking about doing something in that area....building guitars and amps sounds like fun to me, lol. :)
  23. Glad you figured out where your center is and I'm sure someone will buy your gear. I like an all tube amp myself.....so much I'm wanting to buy a MOJO kit and put one together or just buy one, lol. I also understand how one can get lost when working with digtal musical instruments that's why I had to make my own rules which were timing myself. I would tweak for 15 minutes, no longer, and make sure I spend more time getting my fingers to do what I want them to do when playing the guitar. Works good, of course I don't gig with it yet. That would be another story. I like the idea of just picking a guitar up and playing it. Most of the time I can do just that 'cause my guitars seem to stay in tune pretty damn good. Rock On smrybacki!!
  24. I Hear Ya! Hopefully you can get it fixed without it costing too much or anything at all.
  25. Glad you found it useful. I've been reading from that site on occasion. It's good stuff and they keep it updated. About Line 6's procedures. The DT Line is so special (complicated) inside that it makes it a nightmare for someone who just wants to use it to make music to even think about being able to diagnose and fix problems that might develop. I have experience with prototyping and some of the things I had to make and work on weren't the most complicated things but to someone who's not fresh on the particulars would be lost without my notes which of course was the beginning of the service manual or instuctions for the project. The DT fits this senario IMO.
