Hey Peter, I've been creating patches on the fly for a long time now and now that you've blew the fog off the Para Q I'm creating so many new patches and just using the EQ's to manipulate my patch using the foot switch's, lol. It's awesome!! I'm mixing some new tracks already. Also, I've got the EHX Tube EQ and run that after the HD500 output and into a Beat Buddy and out into the front of my Spider Jam using the Green Clean amp and recording that way. Your explanation opens up a new can of worms, LOL, the tasty ones. :) I haven't tried your patches yet but I will eventually. Cheers!

Right On cruisinon2! Us killing ourselves off is more likely. The creative mind is vastly vassssssst and that's ghastly, lol.

I learned about the snowball effect when I was a little kid, lol. It always starts off a tiny little ball but roll it around in that perfect kind of snow and watch how it starts off, It was slow going getting that little ball rolling around to get it built up but slowly it started to build up but then suddenly it was so big I couldn't move it anymore, lol. This was the nice way my dad explained the nature of population to me. When I saw "The Gangs of New York" movie and how they built the first multilevel wooden dwellings in order to house the growing the population and then look at it today it's a neat contrast. I remember seeing something about science saying that there was a narrowing of the genes which represented a time in history which much of the human race died off. The story was the genes pool in a long time span was shaped like an hour glass the narrow part represented the period where a great number of people died and the ones that survived and procreated carried on human life and then the genes pool widened again. I can't remember the whole story but that gets the point across. Maybe a search will yield better info. IMO, It's going to be a long time before overpopulation is at critical mass.

Your Welcome. My thoughts exactly.

No update for the DT's as of now.
-
What I find interesting is that after I got mine back and played it for about 12 hrs. It too quit. It's still at Line 6 getting scrutinized.
-
Wow. How much time did you get on it? Didn't you just get it back?

From what I understand the Pods really do well with PA's or any FRFR monitors. Very versitlile.

I wish I knew what 3 chords were at 15, lol. At that age I knew what 3 chords of wood felt like after moving it 3 times,

I'm blown away with how powerful the HD500 is too. I really have a-lot of fun learning with it and now I/we got some more knowledge to work with, thanks to your Pro video. I always thought that maybe that "Fizz" that many have talked about could be "cut" with this method.
-
Your video tips are "Top Notch" Pete!! Very Very Good. I've been doing something like this "Frq Cut" for a while now but you've brought me out of the "fog" so to speak, lol. Good Go'in and Thanks Cheers!

Hey that's my teacher. He's the reason for the large grasshopper tatoo on my lower back, lol. Good Vid "D".

I concur with you "C". I watched an area that was otherwise empty get developed and 35,000 people populated the area. It took about 3 years after the first signs of building for it to fully bloom. This was almost 30 years ago.

How do I remove tones from my ux2 list?
Brazzy replied to FTLOSM's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
The tone files are in your documents in a Line 6 folder and then in a tones folder either GearBox or PodFarm, etc.etc. All you need to do is delete or move this file or delete a particular tone or tones or all of them inside that folder and the next time you open up GearBox or PodFarm or whichever program your using at the time they will be gone until you populate it again.- 1 reply

So true! So inflated! And really, is there any room for people in that area anyway? LOL

If you need to have a vocoder mic and a vocal mic you could make 2 patches one for the vocaoder and run the vocal mic into Aux input and patch that into Path B. Your going to need mics and special cables for that.. Or maybe you can split the signal from the vocoder mic with a specail cable. Not sure just trying to throw out ideas, lol. I'm sure you can achieve what you want if you think about it, write out a scheme and search for cables etc etc.
-
I think it should when you plug the mic in and setup a guitar patch with the vocoder in it. The vocoder becomes active in the same patch. The signal must go through the same input and patch. Athough I haven't done this yet so I can't talk from experience. I can only relay what I've picked up from reading about it. Added for clarification: Set your inputs to "input 1 = guitar", input 2 = variax". set you patch up in "path A". Make your guitar patch. Plug the mic in the mic input (on the Pod). When you place the vocoder in the patch the mic becomes part of the guitar patch. so I think. I'm going to have to try this today, lol.

POD UX2/Several computers
Brazzy replied to carnal063's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
There is limits but I recall being able to use mine on 2 computers. If you run out of authorizations do a support ticket and they will help you, that is if you can't authorize your UX2 on the second computer. -
I love a post that gets technical, but it's those flakey things that happen to this amp that leads me to believe the intricate parts of this amp may've been made a bit too intricate. I've read quite few threads over the years about issues with this amp and the reliabilty factor being cut down, wheather it be tubes, tranformers or quality of tubes. Don't get me wrong. I love the sound of my new DT50 Head but I can't say it's super reliable yet. I've got high hopes that this amp will be more reliable but I'm not going to get sucidle over it, lol. I hope you find out why you've got this volume swing issue, maybe it's a simple thing. The only thing I can say is before my amp went south the first time. When I powered it up it made a weird noise when I switched the stby and the volume fizzled out, so I powered down, waited a few minutes and powered it back up and was seemingly good until I noticed Topo III was noisier at idle. I used it for a few months off and on at home and it went silent only to find the tubes were cold and the 3 fuses I could check easily where fine. I thought tubes so I bought a matched set of the recommended tubes, installed them, biased them to the recommended setting and the amp was back up but only for a short period of time (around 4 hrs) when this time it went silent while playing. This time I shut it off and waited for it to completely cool down, powered it back it up and it worked good for about 15 minutes and the tubes went cold again. I repeated that cool down thing one more time. I also tried both power tubes from the dead DT in my Picovalve tube amp and they worked fine for hours. This may not be a good test and I'm no expert. I did it out of curiosity. After the second failure it went in for warranty. They said replaced the main board, did tsb 059, and replaced the power tubes. It worked fine for about 12 hours and the next time I powered it up it was silent and the tubes were cold so I proceeded to do another support ticket and it's now at Line 6, hopefully it gets fixed. I know they're good people and trying to fix it for me so I've got faith in them.

Good Go'in smrybacki, I, for one, will likely never part with my devices as I don't think I would get any real compensation for them. Either I would donate them to a good cause or pass them down to family members that show interest. Other than that I enjoy them as long as they work good, lol. Every day one should learn something new even it's small. RO/CO = Rock On/Carry On

I agree, using the K.I.S.S rule can pay off big.

Looks right. I always use this > http://cie-wc.edu/Series_Parallel_9_14.pdf Make sure to click the link there's more info.

Question: DT amps + new Model packs?
Brazzy replied to ColonelForbin's topic in Dream Rig - Line 6 Product Integration
That would've been nice to get the DT firmware updated as well. I didn't even think about it till I saw your thread Colonel. -
I'm not positive about needing to update the firmware to get the functions but it certainly seems that way. I always update my stuff as soon as I can. I'm just that way. If it's supposed to function I want make sure it does so that I can know it's all working as it should and if it doesn't I can get it fixed before it gets too old, lol. I agree, it's probably worded that way since it's all about the HD and DT working together but you don't need the Pod to get great sound from the DT or to use the Direct Out. It's just that the Pod adds so much more it's almost silly not to have it.
