I'm still using my 500x live, but the DT25 stays at home now since I'm running direct. I'd love an endorsement, but the product I use the most when I play is Fireball. 🻠Of all our band pictures, I can't find a single one with both my Pod and my DT25 in it. You can see my Relay G50 on my strap though. But, not using that anymore either since I've got a JTV now.

Rebates: How long did it take?
stumblinman replied to stumblinman's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Contact Nick Shilling Work:818-575-3713 Mobile:408-799-4829 Email: nshilling@line6.com That's who was able to help me track my rebate. Hope it helps. -
I have to agree with Nucleus on this one. Seemed like a shameless plug. Not that examples aren't encouraged, but thought it was a little off topic. As far as sensitivity, I think it's much improved in the newer models. The OR-80 is an excellent surprise for me. Never intended to use it, but it's so versatile with just a volume knob. I haven't used the high gain amps much, so I can't help there. I messed around with the 5150, but it's gain is so over the top that it wore me out before I tweaked it much. I will give it a go and try to form an opinion that might be more constructive for you.

I am using the Orange model as my main British sound right now. That FAC knob gives some great choices for eq. Cleans up really well with volume knob too.

Just updated from 2.6 to 2.62 and actually overwrote my presets. That Variax set list has some great tones! I'm going to modify a few and use them live. Hats off to the Line 6 tonemasters.

Line6, maybe seek out specific Amps instead of specfic models

The Black Face Pete is the first Fender model I've liked with no tweaking or eqs or dirt boxes. Just sounds right. -
JTV FW 2.21 - What's New In It?

JTV FW 2.21 - What's New In It?
stumblinman replied to davidb7170's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Installed it and let it overwrite my patches. Workbench downloaded much slower, and the models sound the same as before. Strat is still too quiet. Gonna reload my own. -
Ok. I will update then. Thanks DI

Before I leave for vacation, I download 2.6 firmware and buy the model packs. I come back and we are already up to 2.61 and then 2.62. What did they have to fix?

Sounds like bees in a can. If that's what you want it should be perfect. The Shiva is phenomenal to me.

+1 for the humor. Nice Radatats.

Chances are they will release Tuesday. Like movies or video games. Monday to polish and prep. That way they have the rest of the week to deal with customer issues. That's my guess.

This is the first vid that showed me how to use the parametric quickly on the Pod. You, sir, have my respect! -
JTV-59 ... To Guard or NOT to Guard?
stumblinman replied to sdeverall's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I'm strictly no-guard on the 59. If I wanted another Les Paul I would buy another one. The 59 almost looks more like a PRS to me so I prefer it unguarded. -
That was what I interpreted as well.

Antares Auto-Tune for Guitar Pedalboard
stumblinman replied to ColonelForbin's topic in Line 6 Lounge
Color me meh.. The company that ruined the music world for real singers now moves into the guitar market. It's a cute little gizmo, but sounds pretty phony in the vid. Plus, you have to buy another pickup system to use it. I can appreciate any company trying to make stuff easier for guitarists, but eventually the dumbing down of the world will have to end. Although, imagine the insane bends you could produce by not bothering to tighten up your strings to pitch. -
I think YOU know what else...

Rebates: How long did it take?
stumblinman replied to stumblinman's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I've learned it doesn't matter when you send. It's when they mark it received. Mine was about 2 weeks later when it was marked "received". Give it another week at least. -
Very tasteful. I liked it.
-
No. I would maybe let my daughter use it to learn guitar. The 59 pickups are garbage compared to Gibson 57's and that's my benchmark tone. I bought this guitar to cover all the bases. If it can only cover one it might as well be a doorstop. It plays alright. Action is good. Intonation is set up right, but it needs a tuner upgrade. Goes out of tune daily. My LP's don't. So in summation: No. I'm fully trapped in the Line 6 quagmire now. In a couple years when my JTV fails (which I'm fairly confident it will, hell, they can't even make the damn LEDs light up right on every guitar) that will give me the impetus to jettison all this stuff and start over. It's the most convenient pain in the lollipop system I've ever used. I think that's a compliment though?

Nice pontificating. But holy zombie threads, Batman!

I use smart harmony at the start of my chains to get the most pure signal for tracking. You may want to put one in each mixer path(L and R) so the pitch glide and harmony don't trample each other and then put your amp just after the mixer to sum them. Then add your other effects to round it out. Good luck!
