  1. I have powered monitors I can feed to as well. My patches are all mixed to center as well, so I can just take one of the 1/4" outs and run to FOH and the other to a backline monitor. Thats probably my plan.
  2. Took six months off as a band to let my arms heal (golfer's elbow in the left arm and nerve issues in the right) and learn some new songs. Got the songs down, just wish we could start playing live right away. It's a damn shame you have to book almost a month out around here to get a gig. I'm dying inside. I think it's a sickness for which there is no cure, especially now that I'm trying to use my HD500x direct instead of through my DT25. Gonna be a big change, but I'm excited to see how it goes.
  3. Bye, forum suicider that I've never heard of.. Spend the money you earn selling your gear on therapy.. It will serve you better Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!
  4. Mine sits on the shaft fine, and it's a snug fit so I can move the knob up or down but it still doesn't light up. I turned the knob over towards a light and the words are visible, but not super bright.

  6. Welcome aboard! You will make some good patches, then try some other ideas and make some terrible ones.. Next, you will listen to your original patches and think they sound like crap, so you will start all over.. But then... You will "get" it. It will click and you will be amazed at the tones you can coax out of that thing. Be patient, be diligent, and play it loud.
  7. If we are dependent on "good designs" then the JTV may fall a little short. Plenty of issues, both major and minor. I'm on my 3rd one now, and now the effing knobs aren't illuminated when you select models. LED lights up, just apparently not into the knobs. I'm trapped in their gear cycle now, but after these bite the dust I'm doubtful I will get sucked in again.
  8. I've tried them a little so far. Seem alright. The volume levels are very different so I will do some leveling and give you a more complete opinion when I've had time to crank them up and go for a while. They are much better than a lot I've tried off customtone, that's for sure.
  9. Just grabbed them all from your site.. I like what I've heard from your demos. Excited to try them. Thanks!
  10. Update: tried adjusting knobs, no change. It looks like the little plastic rod that focuses the LED light is melted or something. It's slightly brown on the end, and doesn't project very much light straight out the end. I probably need to sand and polish it.
  11. Yep. Looks like I may have to use a little more force than I'd like to in order for my knob to glow.
  12. Thanks. I looked that over, and now I'm wondering if my knobs aren't on far enough to isolate the LED light into the knob so it's just shining out the bottom. I got some work to do...
  13. Anyone have a picture of a 59 knob while it's off the guitar? Curious what the bottom looks like. I contacted L6 and they are going to send me new knobs, but I find it hard to believe that both would be defective. I'm leaning towards incorrect LED placement.
  14. Ya, I'm kinda wondering that. Since both don't light up but I can see the LED under the knob I'm kinda wondering how to move it.
  15. My buddy came over with his 89 last night, and I noticed how bright his knob LEDs were when he'd change models and tunings. My LEDs light up, but they don't seem to illuminate the settings on the knobs at all. I just see a sort of "pointer dot" light at the base of the knob and no illumination inside. Any ideas?
  16. I'm 3 days away from eight weeks on the nose. We will see how close. Last email I got from Nick Shilling said it was eight weeks or slightly more to get your check. I guess that means they sold a buttload of JTV's.
  17. I'm pretty happy with the tone even when slightly backed off. But I wholeheartedly agree we shouldn't have to work around their shortcomings. It doesn't take much to remove it with the tone knob like this, so why can't they come up with some sort of low pass filter or something? If they can improve the palm muting portion, this should be in the same realm.
  18. I have my 500x attached by Velcro to a Pedaltrain PT Pro and it works fine. I usually push down on the body of the Pod before I repack it to make sure it is secure. Yes, you can remove the feet with no interior issues.
  19. Is this only on the 69? I have it on my 59, but I moved the nut and that made it a little better.
  20. Update: I've started editing my models in workbench HD to simply back the tone knob off to between 7.5 and 9 depending on the pickups and locking them there and this guitar sounds so much better. It almost seems like the tone controls are just too trebly in general. Started using lighter picks, which was an adjustment as well, but now I'm pretty happy. Had practice last week and ran straight to PA for the first time, and everything sounded great.
  21. That depends on if you ever want to just grab your amp and go. I also use the reverb on my amp instead of putting it in my amp models, so it frees up and effects slot and I can still choose the reverb that I want.
