Pretty much have to create your own....or at least.......download some. Convert to WAV momo then copy onto a SD card. What i have done.... also...do that to add full backing tracks to play along with....
  2. Assuming you mean running your guitar through a stomp box pedal..(as your FX effects) ..you CAN do that, just insert as many pedals as you want between your guitar and the Amp input jack.
  3. Yes you can. Probably should try setting the Spider up with a clean setting first...........depending on the FX you want to use
  4. The Pre-set structure is somewhat confusing to first timers. In order to select one of them do following: 1) Push SITTINGS Button....this will display any of following on the top of the dispay: Artist, Style, User 2) To select on of these, use the "arrow" button to either go UP and then Left of Right to pick the highlevel catagory you want 3) Once in your desired catagory, again use the "arrow" button to drill down to your preset choice.
  5. So do I understand this to mean.........I can start out with "any" preset, make adjustments to it ( vary knob settings ) then do a SAVE. and that preset is now altered to be that way in the future?
  6. Glad you found that, and were able to get to it......... i did same thing...but was reluctant to "publish" it .... It is kind of sad, that Line 6 has this info and does not make it available to its customers.
  7. Maybe obvious, but.. you are using a two ring stero jack, right? Not a insturment jack.
  8. Sorry, not seen that before........ hopefully someone else can assist you with that.
  9. Do you get any kind of warning notice......... Is the path to the items.... in your startup path for reaper... probably would be same as your VSTi??
  10. Yes you can...... when you power up your Jam just press the DRUMS button on panel.... then with the selector wheel.. move it over to SD , the use the Knob to scroll down to pick whatever you have saved on it.
  11. Thanks Guru ..... thats a great peice of info. Helps a lot!!
  12. There are a TON of amp models and settings....... and I'm looking for one that would emulate a Fender Bassman amp/ To me that would be a Nice heavy bass, but with a clean sound.......... not distorted like a Marshall amp? Anyone know of a preset that emulates that?
  13. There are a TON of preset sounds....... but, having trouble finding one that might sound like a Fender Bassman amp? The key signature ( for me at least ) is this is a nice heavy Bass sound,....but.... with a clean tone. No distrotion like with a Marshall amp. Anyone know of a setting that seems to emulate that amp?
  14. What are you trying to connect it to? By that I mean.... what software product. PodFarm? or into some DAW product?
  15. Found it.............. somehow missed this sequence i guess. Once in a "recording, song, or drum " just press the SETTINGs button again takes you right back..... was sure i had tried all combos of buttons...but somehow missed that one.
  16. Once I have selected a Preset sound.....( i.e. from the Artist or Style subdirectories) and then, select a playback\jam track from my SD card. I can't seem to find a way to go back and select another preset setup, except for turning the amp off then back on. Any one know of a way to access this catalog with out turning the amp off and on?
  17. I use the UX2 for my audio device ( but i would expect any such device would work actaully ) + Pod Farm software + A Flipvido camera ( probably nolonger sold ) which is relativly simple to use. Next I use Adobe Premier Elements as the Video editor. Once i have the audio track then I can import it into Elements, then sync it up with the video track. [ the flipvideo unit produces audtio as well, but it can be muted or volume reduced in order to help sync the outside audio (UX2 / Pod farm) ] Elements shows a WAV while in the video track which also helps in sync of the UX2 builr track visually. On a side note, I feed the UX2\Pod Farm into Reaper ( a SAW package) and render it out for input to Elements
  18. This is what you want..........BUT....... you have to join to get it Although, if you put your mind to it.... you can be creative and get it ........ http://www.docstoc.com/docs/98521791/Line-6---Spider-Amp-Preset-List
  19. Well the SD. Card seems fine, use it all the time. Not sure what formatting another one would accomplish.
  20. I've always been able to record. Recently (without any new connections, or updates) when I push the Record button, I hear a Elec Pop, then amp reboots. Far as I can tell, everything else functions ok.
  21. Not sure why you were getting muddy sound initially. I've not had an issue with my UX2 and PodFarm getting reasonably close sounding output. I've recorded wet with no real issues. My main DAW is Reaper, but I've also recorded using Audacity. Do think, however, that you are correct to record dry.... Can always add effects to the recoding. I have had initial problems with quality, but, seemed to disappear when I used the UX2 drivers in my DAW instead of the Win 7 sound drivers.
  22. You can....look at each page on that site I posted . Guess you try to screen copy it.
  23. Never have gotten this issue Resolved. It like the UX2 does not get any signal from the SJ RCA leads.
