Showcase - how to select a song based on a patch
silverhead replied to gitarrist8's topic in Helix Stadium
This was discussed in another topic here but I can't find it at the moment. Short story is that this is not (yet?) possible and others want to see this too. The feeling is that a solution could be to use MIDI commands for Song operations. In other words, preset selection could trigger operations for a specific Song (e.g.playback) via the Command Center. A stem file is typically a pre-mixed audio file containing multiple tracks (eg. drums, keyboards, etc.) that can be further processed as a unit. If you mean “Can Stadium extract the original tracks from a stem file and treat them as individual drum, keyboard, etc. tracks” the answer is no. But you can transfer a stem track along with other individual tracks into Stadium to create a Song. However, the stem file remains a single track/unit in Stadium.

microsd Changing/Upgrading MicroSD card on Helix Stadium
silverhead replied to casaswing's topic in Helix Stadium
First, format the new, bigger card using the Stadium Maintenance utility. Then you can do one of two things depending on what files are already on the old smaller card: - if the files on the old card are just backups, including Song audio files, there’s really no need for them to be transferred to the new card. Just create a new backup on the new card and proceed as usual. If you want to restore an older backup just use the older card. - if you really need the older files on the new card you can transfer the files using your Mac. But what’s on there other than backups that remain available on the old card? -

Click with a different sound for the beat one ?

I have found that the first beat is emphasized only during Song playback. It is not emphasized if the setting is 'Always On'. -
Bug Report: Snapshot settings not applied correctly in Snapshots
silverhead replied to bbehrens's topic in Helix Stadium
I’m wondering if this is related just to the editor/app. Are Snapshot changes consistently working properly if you just use the device, not the editor, to create and modify the Snapshots? Seems to be the case for @bverfon. Is it true for others? I expect this won’t help with importing presets from OG Helix but it may give the developers more insight to identify and fix any related bugs. -
I don't think it's a firmware issue because no one else is reporting this. Open a support ticket.

I’ve never done it but I expect you can use your online PC to download both the HX Edit program and the Helix LT firmware. You can then transfer those files to your offline PC via usb drive or whatever. Run the HX Edit installer package on the offline PC and install all components. Then update the LT firmware using the ‘Update from File’ option .

Yes, there is an editor that runs on Mac. The program/app is called Stadium.

Stadium XL Major Bug: No Sound after switching presets
silverhead replied to swhitlow's topic in Helix Stadium
You can roll back to the previous firmware using Line 6 Central. You will also need to download and reinstall the previous version of the Stadium editor/app. -
Double check the installed versions of the app and firmware. To do so, use the Help-> About tabs in the app. It will display the installed versions of both. What are they?

I’m using Rockit KRK 8” studio monitors. I mostly use the classic early rock amps like Fender, Vox, and Marshall. Sounds terrific.

WAV format of 24 bit 44100 khz is OK. How long is the stem? The maximum is 13 minutes playing time. Have your tried using other stems to test? Make sure you are using compatible versions of Stadium editor/app and firmware.

In the Stadium Global Settings -> Ins/Outs set the XLR Out Level to Line. The default setting is Mic which explains why that’s what you’re getting.

Help needed with importing/converting older HLX file
silverhead replied to Dralore's topic in Helix Stadium
I don’t know of Ny That’s not generally true. All *.hlx files can be directly imported as long as they were exported using Helix firmware v3.50 or later. Older files may or may not be properly imported but if not I’m not aware of any extraction of info that can be done to make it transfer successfully. Here’s a relevant snip from the Stadium manual about transferring Helix presets: Your Helix/HX multieffect (or Helix Native plugin) must be updated to 3.50 or higher before exporting presets or setlists. There’s no guarantee that presets exported from earlier firmware will bring all the blocks forward. Note that some presets on CustomTone.com may have been exported from earlier firmware and may not appear as intended. But if you load them into Helix/HX (running 3.50 or newer firmware) and then export, they should work fine. As stated above your hlx file needs to be imported into a Helix device running v3.5 or later, and then exported. No info extraction is involved. You may find someone willing to do that and then attach the new hlx file here. -
Did the XTs stop working?

It’s called Helix Stadium. You will find it by clicking on the Downloads tab at the top of this page. Then select Helix Stadium in the midddle/software field. Download the installer package. Double click to run the installer. Select to install all components when presented with the installation options. …. and welcome to the forums!

feature request Expanded Favorites Feature Request
silverhead replied to bbehrens's topic in Helix Stadium
Why don’t they make sense as a template? I’m not arguing against your feature request (which you need to submit officially through the product feedback page in order for Line 6 to see it: https://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/ ). However in the meantime you can do this by creating your own presets, perhaps in a specific setlist named Favorites? Then simply copy and edit those as you wish when creating new presets, either the whole preset or just individual bocks.
