  1. When the UX2 was introduced it included a license for the original POD Farm product. I believe this license would still apply to your UX2. You can still download and install Pod Farm; it will only run when the UX2 is connected- the hardware is the license. When POD Farm 2 was released the original license did not extend to it; you still need to purchase PF2 separately if desired. Unfortunately I can’t help with your actual problem. However I had a similar issue with a Line 6 M5 device some time ago. It had been sitting unused for a few years and when I tried to resurrect it I found that it would not start up properly most of the time. Being stubborn I kept trying. Like your UX2 the few times it did start up properly it worked properly. Over time it has gotten to the point that it starts up and works properly every time - it’s been a long time now since it has failed to start. I offer no explanation for that but perhaps you’ll be lucky - maybe it’s just gotten lazy and needs exercise!
  2. Yes, people still actively try to help others in this forum on a daily basis. I’m sure your post will be read by many. Unfortunately your situation is difficult to help with. The problem is intermittent and the device is used. Do you know its history? Are you using the correct power supply? My suspicion is that the device itself is faulty, or the issue is very specific to your computer setup (driver conflict?), and so no amount of well intended help here will be very useful. My best suggestion is to return and replace the device or get a refund if that is possible. Otherwise open a support ticket with Line 6. Follow the Support tab at the top of this page. Meanwhile someone who has had your problem and found a reliable solution to it may answer here. Personally I don’t know where to begin. I’m only responding to let you know that many people will read your post, but you won’t likely get many helpful responders.
  3. Don’t know what happened. It was your first post in the forum and it does require approval from a mod for spam reasons, and I am a mod. But you should have been able to make your fist post anywhere, not only in the Lounge area. I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. A glitch perhaps but glad it’s resolved.
  4. You will need someone at Line 6 Support to handle this. Best way to do that is to open a support ticket. Follow the Support tab at the top of this page.
  5. Are you using snapshots to engage/disengage the drive? If so, look in Global Settings for the Snapshot Edits parameter.
  6. Well, the overall setup is very similar to what I use. You could try using a Taylor IR- there are probably some fee ones floating around. Add an EQ block and fiddle about.
  7. I don’t know anything about Mainstage, nor what MIDI controller you have, but here’s something I wrote a while back that I hope you can adapt and apply….
  8. I use two EX-1 pedals with my Helix Control (and Rack). No problems. I’m not a heavy exp pedal user but they’re not incompatible.
  9. You can’t change the location. You can change the behaviour, like make them additional Stomp switches, or make them Preset/Snasphot up/down switches, rather than Bank switches.
  10. Have you looked at the Command Centre section in the Helix manual, along with the list of available MIDI CC commands that can be sent? You’ll need to match the Helix Send command with the Whammy Receive command capabilities (you need to know the specific commands your pedal will respond to) to control whatever features you want.
  11. Sounds to me like an internal ribbon cable connector is loose. If your device is no longer under warranty it might be worth trying a DIY fix. Search this forum and you might be able to find instructions for this.
  12. Customtone, filtered for Helix and Boston, shows 37 downloadable presets. Might be a starting point depending on your equipment, especially your monitors/speakers/amp.
  13. There was one hardware change soon after the POD Go was released. That was a replacement of a part that affected the input impedance of the incoming guitar signal. The device serial number is the best way to determine whether a specific device is affected so you would need to contact Line 6 to determine whether a device is affected. If so Line 6 will repair it under a lifetime warranty for this specific fault. There have been no other hardware changes.
  14. Yes, that’s probably the safer setup. However, check the manual pg40 and note that it seems you can use each Send block only once in a preset. You would probably want to use Send 1 twice but won’t be able to do so. You might need to use Send 1 and Send 2 separately in each path, cabling both outputs, and then merge them somehow externally before your presumably mono DI box comes into play. Also make sure the Send block level (instrument vs line) is appropriate for your DI box input.
  15. I don’t think you can route a Send block directly to an XLR output for FOH but I believe there’s a simpler setup to get the desired result. Remove the Send blocks and drag the following merge blocks from Path A down to Path B. This will create two additional Output blocks for Paths 1B and 2B respectively. Route each new Output block to the XLR outputs and then connect only the XLR Left/Mono output to FOH. …. and yes, the LT can do that.
  16. My apologies. I meant pg38. Seems I was looking at the wrong manual.

    Signal path

By default the computer’s signal comes into the POD Go on the USB 1/2 channels and is sent directly to the PG’s outputs with no processing. If you want to process it you can set the Input block of the PG preset to USB 5/6. (See manual section on USB Audio for details.)
  18. Check the pedal’s Min/Max assignments and experiment? See manual pg49 for details.
  19. There is no option or setting to make this work. If it isn’t working it is faulty. Return and replace your device.
  20. Not sure what you mean. No there’s no way to fix the fact that your device has an older serial number. But if you’re referring to the specific issue of impedance due to a manufacturing flaw then yes, Line 6 offers a lifetime warranty for this repair. Other faults that may have occurred due to age are no longer covered under warranty, like any other product in the world.
  21. Yes, that would be expected. You’re unlikely to have success unless you use additional equipment. Google is your friend for more details and equipment requirements. Is there a reason you want to use the amp’s headphones output rather than the (compatible) XLR output? You’d be better off exploring ways to use the XLR rather than trying to force a circle into a square.
  22. Try using Line 6 Central instead of Monkey. Central is a more recent utility, replacing Monkey.
  23. Two ways, both of which reduce the volume level of your computer audio achieving a balance in the levels. You can use your computer settings to lower the volume level that it sends out; or you can use your Stomp XL Global Settings -> Ins/Outs -> USB In 1/2 Trim to reduce the volume level as it enters the Stomp device.
