  1. I empathize with your experience, but I don't think anyone here can help you. I would contact Sweetwater again, and if they don't replace it again I would contact Line 6 Support. A brand new sealed unit should be under warranty. I know there may be more shipping costs, but if you end up with a working unit....??
  2. The MIDI section of the manual lists some CC messages that are reserved for global use, including EXP pedals. So I expect that if you assign, for instance, an FX Mix parameter to EXP-1 and then send a MIDI CC#1 command it will set the pedal position (and hence the Mix parameter) to a corresponding value.
  3. You could also download the free trial version of Helix Native and view the preset details that way. You could use that in future for any Helix preset rather than have to rely on others for every preset you might want to recreate in the POD Go.
  4. Further to my earlier post, consider the Stomp XL’s Send output to be equivalent to the POD Go Amp Out. The only difference is that the POD Go architecture taps the Amp Out signal automatically just before the Cab/IR block; you can’t change that. By contrast, the Stomp XL architecture allows you to place other FX blocks after the Send and before the Cab/IR so you can send a more effected signal to the PA than to your amp.
  5. In both of the above connections you have two input connections and two output connections joined together. An input into another input doesn’t work. Nor does an output into another output. That explains why your drive pedals are silent. Try this: Guitar - 29 Pedals EUNA - Wah - POG - Origin Revival Drive into HX One Input (L/Mono) HX One Output (Right/Send) into first Drive Output of last drive into HX One In (R/Return) HX One Out (L/Mono) into rest of my board I think in this setup when your HX One is set to Post your HX One FX (Wah, filter…) will appear before your first drive pedal. When set to Pre your HX One FX (Mod, Delay, …) will appear after your last drive pedal. But this is all theoretical; I don’t own an HX One to test with. I confess I am a bit confused by the Pre/Post terminology in the signal flow of the HX One.
  6. I presume that your entire pedalboard is placed in the preamp position. In other words, the final pedal on your board is connected to an amp’s guitar input and you are wondering where to place the HX One and how to hook it up? If so does that amp have an FX Loop? A later reply could be different based on your answer here.
  7. Disconnect the LT. Restart your computer and the LT. After both have restarted reconnect the LT.
  8. Use the Send output to your amp, and the Main output(s) to the PA. Place the Send block before the Cab block in your signal chain, with both of them being the last blocks in the chain (unless there are other blocks you want to go to the PA and not the amp, in which case place those after the Send too).
  9. Not sure what you mean. There's no 'proper' way to connect the HX One other than placing it the chain along with your other pedals. Just make sure you are using it like any other stereo-capable pedal in terms of cabling. Of course, to accommodate your personal preferences you may have to relocate it depending on which FX you want to use in the HX One. In other words, if you want to use a Filter FX model in the HX One then it seems you need it before the drive pedals. If you want to use a Chorus/Del/Reverb model you need it after your drive pedals. I don't think there's a magical setup that will allow you to virtually relocate the HX One. It's physical location is fixed until/unless you swap cabling. I'm unclear - when you say the drive pedals won't be heard do you mean there is no sound at all, or that the sound does not seem right? Are they heard, or does the sound seem right, without the HX One in the loop at all? Or is it the introduction of the HX One, anywhere, that affects the drive pedal sound?
  10. First I am suggesting that you identify the versions of both Helix firmware and HX Edit that are running. Don’t assume that because you installed HX Edit v3.70 that it is necessarily the version that is actually running when you start the program. Weird things happen. Open the HX Edit program, select the Help -> About menu, and check the versions of each that are identified. Let us know the result and we can advise further from there.
  11. Contact Line 6 Support (see link at top of this page).
  12. Symptoms like this usually indicate that different versions of Helix firmware and HX Edit are being used. Check the versions of each using HX Edit, the About… menu item. Sometimes a new installation of HX Edit fails to replace the previous version. There can be different reasons for this which can be explored next. First, determine whether or not different versions are being used.
  13. I’m not arguing with you, and don’t want to. You asked if others are experiencing this. I told you I’m not and suggested the best way to deal with it. Rationalize all you want. You’re right - doesn’t make sense. Yet it’s happening. Do whatever you want about it, or nothing. Up to you.
  14. Try a different USB cable? They sometimes fail spontaneously. Still,a support ticket is the best way to address it .
  15. Mine is working fine on v3.70 (Helix Rack and JTV-59). Make sure you are running v3.70 for both your Helix device and HX Edit.
  16. That’s not normal and points to some communication issues, likely USB related, between your computer and the POD Go device. I am not having any similar issues with my Pod GO updates. Since a computer configuration is highly specific I don’t think you’ll get much satisfaction from this forum. I suggest you open a support ticket.
  17. Couple of things…. There is no plugin product for the POD HD series as there is for Helix; in other words there’s no POD HD Native. The physical knobs and switches on the POD HD won’t directly control any Helix Native functions. However, the POD HD ProX supports some MIDI capability. So does Helix Native. This may not be practical because POD HD devices do not include USB MIDI functionality. There will need to be additional hardware and MID cables to pass THRU the POD generated MIDI commands. That could itself be a MIDI controller which would render the POD HD superfluous. If you want to pursue this figure out some way to get the MIDI commands into your computer. Then read Appendix B in the POD HD ProX manual for the details of what your POD can do. Then read about how to set up Helix Native to respond to MIDI commands. Along the way, take some Advil.
  18. Please describe exactly what you mean by ‘won’t work’.
  19. Are all three pedals assigned to different footswitches, or is the same footswitch assigned to more than one pedal?
  20. I’ve moved this to the ‘New Forum for Disussing Tones’ (see new banner at the top of this page). Seems like a good candidate for what this new area is for.
  21. Good news. Yes - always begin the firmware update process by downloading and installing the latest version of HX Edit.
  22. Are you sure you are saving the preset after adding the cab and before backing up?
  23. That's right. There's no prompt to perform the factory reset. it's a recommendation in the installation instructions as shown above.
