  1. Can someone PLEASE give me info on replacement/replacing LED lights in my HD147? Everything I google is old info from years ago, and my Line6 Support Ticket was blown off with a canned response that didn't asnswer anything...
  2. My original FBV Shortboard has started wigging out whenever I hold the tuner or bank up/down buttons. I opened it up and attempted to clean it but I'm not improving the situation. The pedal works except for that. I've opted to upgrade to the FBV MKII Shortboard. The question is what is going to happen to all of my user pedal configurations? Should I expect to have to start all over? Are the user banks/patches all stored on the pedal or the amp? Also, anyone have any idea how the function pedals exactly work with the HD147? Thanks.
  3. Hey there. I tried searching around for a topic that might help me resolve the issues I seem to be having, but everything I have tried seems to be failing. Im using Reaper with my UX2.I have a Seinheisse E825 S running in with an XLR using either Gearbox or PodFarm I was trying to run the channel in dry,as I want it sound as natural as possible as I have it mic'd up to my HD147,but when I record, the volume seems to be incredibly low on playback. Can anyone tell me if I might be doing something worng? I also seem to get latency issues through my headphones when playing. Im completely stumped, but if any other info is needed to help me get up and running (I'm kinda new to this,so I could even be wrong with some of the terminology Im using) I can provide it,and I'd be grateful for any help
  4. Hi there rescently purchased a HD147, great amp , great features, but im having a problem at live shows. But when Im jamming by myself or with my band the amp sounds dialed in, yet when theres a lil bit more room such as a venue, the highs start deminishing and I can hear the lows and mid cut through, but Im the lead guitar in the band, and cant seem to get the high squeels and harmonics that I do with my Boss MT2 distortion pedal, any suggestions on whart to do? and I am using the built in gate and compression buttons as well.
  5. Hi Appreciate I have an older amp but I have the HD147 and and line 6 4x12 cabinet that comes with it (w floor pedal) It has a great tone and loads of authentic sounds live and loud I bough the dunlop heil talk box and have follwed the manual Put the HD147 OUT into the talk box and the out talk box in to the speaker play the amp and its loud as normal - click the talk box on and ALL the sounds comes out the tube So do I need a mic for the tube - that would have to be miked up pretty damn loud as the tube sound isnt that loud Amp was on 6 and very loud if the talk box was off and sound coming direct out of amp Is this the best / easiest talk box to use I do have the full FBV foot pedal (which ins wah and volume) so could use another talk box and use the effect loop Bit lost here clearly so need that Bon Jovi Sound but I had thot the talk sound would come out of my amp but seems not #lost
  6. Part 1: Spider, Spider Valve, HD147, and Vetta heads into the original Line 6 Stereo cabinet and Spider cabinet. Part 2: Spider, Spider Valve, HD147, and Vetta heads into the Line 6 Stereo Vintage 30 cabinet.
  7. Application Q: What are the presets on my HD147 amplifier? A: The HD147 user presets are available from the manual download section. Q: What editing software works with the HD147? A: Line 6 Edit, which is a free download at www.line6.com/software. Q: How can I control my HD147 via MIDI? A: Please check the Appendix C on your Pilot's Handbook, you will have a list of MIDI program changes and their relation with the HD147 channels. So channel 1A would recall program 1 on your MIDI device. You can either overwrite program 1 on your device with the effects you want to use with channel 1A or you can go to the preset you want to use and internally reassign that preset to MIDI program 1 (if your device offer that option). You can also set the Expression pedal on a MIDI controller to the MIDI CC# you wish to control - for example if you want to control the Delay Mix with it set the CC# to 34. Please see the bottom of this document to download the HD147 manual. Setup/Connections Q: Is there a direct out on the HD147? A: There are stereo XLR outputs on the back of the unit to route the cabinet modeling directly to a PA or mixing console. Q: Which Line 6 floor controller(s) can I use with the HD147? A: We recommend the Line 6 FBV Shortboard , but any of the FBV series controllers will control the HD147. Q: Does the HD147 have an effects loop? A: Yes, the HD147 has a stereo unbalanced effect loop. Q: What is an effect loop used for? A: An effect loop is used for “line-level” input and output level devices. Many rack mount effect units are line level units, while most guitar effects are “instrument level” units meant to be run between the instrument and the amplifier. Q: Can I connect an external pre-amp (i.e. Line 6 POD unit) to the HD147? A: You can connect an external preamp into the or the effects loop return of the HD147. Be sure to use a ¼” dummy jack in the instrument input to send the head output to the speakers. Q: How should I connect my speaker cabinet(s) to the HD147? A:Please see the following document more more information on connecting cabinets to your HD147. Cabinet Connection and Ohm F.A.Q. Specifications Q: What's the rated wattage of my HD-147? A: The HD-147 is rated at 150w/channel RMS. 147 decibels is the level of loudness at which your head explodes. What we're trying to say is that this puppy is loud. Q: How many watts are my two 16 ohm cabs going to pull per side with my HD-147? A: A solid state amp without an impedance switch puts out more power with a lower speaker load. However, we do have an impedance switch in the back of the amp. The purpose of the switch is to make sure the amp puts out the same amount of power as long as it sees the correct load. So for your set up, you would plug one cab into one of the RIGHT jacks and the other into one the LEFT jack. Set the impedance switch to 16 ohms. Your amp should put out 150 watts per side. Registration/Warranty Q: What is the warranty on the HD147? A: the warranty on the HD147 is twelve months from the date of purchase. Q: How can I register my HD147? A: Registration Troubleshooting/Service Q: How do I perform a factory reset on my HD147? A: The reset for a HD147 is to hold the A and D Buttons while powering the amp. Q: My amp seems to be malfunctioning. What can I do as an end user? Line 6 Amp Trouble Shooting Q: Where can I get replacement knobs/speakers/logos for my HD147 amp? A: Line 6 Store Q: Where can I download a HD147 manual? A: Line 6 Manuals
