  1. Hi all, I just got a refurb FBV Express MKII controller to use with my POD HD Pro X. I plugged it into the POD, the tuner lights blink showing that it's receiving power, but after that none of the lights on the pedal turn on, patches won't change, expression pedal or tuner functions do nothing. I then went through the calibration procedure (with no issues) and after pressing the D pedal the final time to exit, still nothing. When I connected to my computer, the pedal is responsive as it should be. It's just not doing anything with the POD. I've tries turning the POD off and back on after calibration, disconnected and reconnected the pedal, etc...basically anything I could think of. I've read through the manual for the FBV Express MKII and the controller section of the HD Pro X manual and can't find anything to help me figure out how to address this. Am I missing something? I scrolled through the board and none of the FBV/POD HD Pro threads I've looked at seem to address this particular issue. Thanks
  2. This is a project I've been messing around with. It lets you really open up the possibilities of your FBV3 and /or FBV shortboard MkII. It allows for full color functionality of FBV3 as well. It requires some basic know-how with an Arduino at present, though with very little effort on Line 6's part, that may not be necessary in the future. Check it out: https://github.com/kquann/FBV_MIDI
  3. Good afternoon, I just recently purchased a used FBV MkII Express and am a bit lost on how to proceed. I've looked at manuals and even tried to watch a tutorial on youtube and I have no idea what I'm doing. Here's what I am currently using: Pod Farm 2 (as a VST) Presonus Studio One What I am trying to do is get the pedal to work as a foot switch. Either to change between tones, or to turn on the tuner, the wah/volume, etc. I have downloaded Monkey as well as Line 6 FBV Control. FBV Control does in fact see the pedal and the volume light turns on. When I tap the A/B/C/D pedals they blink as well. When going into FBV Control, I have no idea what to set. Basically I have a rig set up in Pod Farm 2 (VST) with a foot switch, one for clean, one for distortion. All I *really* need at this point is the ability to go from clean to distortion and back again if need be. I'm sorry if this sounds like a really noobish question (Im sure it is) but I just have no idea when people mention "CC21" and whatnot. To clarify, I DO NOT have an actual POD device. Im using an M-Audio recording interface to get guitars/bass/banjo recorded with Pod Farm 2. The least I would like to do is test functionality. I want to make sure the pedal is working, otherwise I'll need to return it to the pawn shop.
  4. Hi everyone. I wanna buy a footswitch FBV EXPRESS MKII, I know what with the buttons A to D change the effects banks, but i would use this footswitch with my spider V 30. My question is, With FBV EXPRESS can you select and unselect the integrated FX in the amp, in other words, active the reverb or distort?
  5. Hello Just wanted to follow up a post from february asking about using an fbv mkII foot controller with an ipad. I use one and it's fantastic. I use it with a powered hub (battery powered with an iPhone type usb rechargeable battery pack). With a camera connection kit it seems very reliable. I use it with JamUp Pro for guitar effects and for controlling Loopy HD. It also works well with Amplitube. The FBV mkII has always been great for me for its versatility (great with Reason), but this has made it even better and helped remove the computer element from my rig... Almost.
  6. Hi all, Last night, my pedal seemed to have lost it's spring tension and now it feels like it only has 3 positions. It no longer switches between Volume/Wah and basically has very little actual effect at all in any position. Im a novice with pedals, so what is this problem called? Can it be fixed? Thanks, CP
  7. Hi Line 6 and users. I have my second Line 6 FBV Express Mkii pedal, I wont go into what happened to the 1st one, I will leave that for another post..... I have noticed that sometimes when I change sub-banks, say from A to B on a main bank (1 - 50) there is a sudden "click" noise, sometimes it is soft and sometimes it is very noticeable. on other banks it is a smooth transfer from one sub-bank to another. Does anyone know why this happens? Is there a setting in the Spider Valve Mkii Edit software that causes this or can take it away as I use the Spider Valve MkII Edit software alot to customize my sound? Note: I do use the Line 6 custom tones from the Line 6 website for easy reference to some songs, are they maybe the problem? Regards Bruce Ryder
  8. I bought this pedal to use with logic pro x/mainstage to use in controling my plugins, it works great. My question is. Is there anyway to send midi?/data back to the pedal to maintain synch status led when turning on and off different effects? As I switch through patches, i cannot maintain synch of led, I am a programmer. so i could write a midi? plugin just or this, if necessary. Anyway, any ideas/expanded technical details would be great. Thanks
  9. Hello Does anyone if it is it possible to use 2 FBV MKII at the same time, using ableton? i am not sure the FBV control program allows that? I am on macbook pro retina. any ideas ?) all the best René
  10. I own a POD HD500 and use it for church performance. Since I lead worship near the pastor's podium, the HD500 is just too large for me to keep up front where I can change it, so I've just been using one setting at all times and using a wireless system. I purchase an FBV Express MKII because I thought I read that it was compatible with the HD500, however, before it arrived at my doorstep I realized that it in fact was NOT compatible. I've seen many posts about using the HD500 as a MIDI controller to control other things, but I haven't seen anything concerning using another MIDI device to control the HD500. Is it possible to control it using another MIDI device? If so, any recommendations on a small MIDI footswitch with expression pedal? The FBV Express MKII would have been the perfect size if it had been compatible, but most of the MIDI controllers I see with expression pedals are as large or larger than my POD. Thanks for your time!
  11. My original FBV Shortboard has started wigging out whenever I hold the tuner or bank up/down buttons. I opened it up and attempted to clean it but I'm not improving the situation. The pedal works except for that. I've opted to upgrade to the FBV MKII Shortboard. The question is what is going to happen to all of my user pedal configurations? Should I expect to have to start all over? Are the user banks/patches all stored on the pedal or the amp? Also, anyone have any idea how the function pedals exactly work with the HD147? Thanks.
  12. Hi there, I just recently acquire a FBV short board MKII to interact with my Pod Farm 2.5 standalone/plugin instead of using my mouse to enable/disable effects and loading preset tones. All was working perfectly, loading banks, loading presets in the banks, the exp pedal 1 and my second expression pedal, a EP1-L6 from missing engineering, everything except for the stomp, modulation, delay and reverb switches. What I means with this. Well first I started with my stomp, modulation, delay and reverb switches off(No LED light). Then I load a Pod Farm preset with MIDI by example loading the Black Helicopter (MIDI factory preset). What I founded is something that I wasn't expecting, but I don't know if this behavior is working properly with the FBV MKII. This effect has reverb, delay, modulation, and stomp FX enabled by default. But my FBV MKII Leds for those effects doesn't turn on. What I need to do if I want to turn off the delay by example, I need to press one time my delay switch in my foot controller to turn on and the press again to turn off that effect in Pod Farm also the led in my foot controller. But if I leave the stomp, modulation, delay and reverb switches on(LED on), and then I load a pod farm preset + midi with some of that Fx disabled by default, my led switches in the foot controller remains turned on. Then, I need to press twice the switch to synchronize the Fx state with the pod farm. Seems is not very practical way to load tone and controlling the individual FX in that way. My question here is, Am I missing something? Is this the correct function of the Pod Farm with the FBV MKII? That control level and sync state between pod farm and FBV MKII doesn't exist, It's like a some kind of dumb controller? I will appreciate if some one can help me with this. Thanks in Advance Sorry for my English, I'm not an English native speaker.

  14. Hey there, I was rediscovering POD Farm over the weekend when I decided to replicate my studio gear as close as possible, just for fun. I had a great time tweaking sims and managed to get a very close version of my current rig. I set up 4 different presets in a SetList (AC30, Citrus, BigBottom, Insane) and programmed the FBV to switch between them and also to control the effects in each preset. I hit a problem when I was trying to set a global tempo for the delays. Case in point, I have a song that has a short solo, then goes to a clean break, a quick heavy riff and finally to the big solo, and I have to run thru 3 different presets. So I start with my main rhythm (BigBottom) and right before the short solo I tap the tempo in and hit the Digital Delay in the chain. As soon as that solo ends I have to switch to the AC30 and hit the Analog Delay, but the Tempo is lost! I have no time to tap it in again and if I do so while playing the changes in phase is audible. It's a cool effect, but not what I'm going for. Then it gets even harder when the clean break ends, as I switch back to the BigBottom for the quick setup riff and then to the Insane for the solo, with Digital Delay, and the Tempo is lost again. What am I doing wrong? Does the Tap Tempo in POD Farm only work per preset? Is there a Global function I can configure so if it's sync'd to say 100bpm it keeps that value between preset changes?
  15. Hello, first I would like to appologize, I am asking this on behalf of a friend whom is Japanese, and can not make this post in English. Please understand I am translating this for him. I'm 99% sure I am getting this all correctly. I am familar with audio equipment to some degree, but not to the extent that I can help my friend. He is using MacBook/Apple 10.6.8 and is running Logic Pro 9, and would like to use POD FARM 2 together with the MBV EXPRESS MKII. When he launchs POD FARM as a stand alone application while the MBV is connected he is able to effect the controller pedal and see the desired affect inside the application. i.e. He physically moves the pedal with his foot and the pedal is seen as moving inside the app. However, when he launches the plugin within Logic, the physical pedal does not affect the pedal within the plugin. Instead on whatever track is slected the fader is manupilated. It seems that Logic is recievcing MIDI data instead of the POD FARM plugin. Thank you for your help!
