  2. I’m an acoustic guitar player just picking guitar up again after around 10 years or so. Decided to get an electric (Squire Classic Vibes 70’s Thinline Tele and an amp (Catalyst 60) as well. Played the guitar through my dad’s modeling amp (Fender) and had no problems. Got my Cat today and turned it on to tried the Clean voicing (the whole reason I got the amp was for clean playing, and I thought it had gotten broke in shipping. Pretty much had to crank channel and master volume on the amp and volume on guitar to even hear it. Tried with headphone and again, it was like the volume was at 10-20 percent. you change to the other voicing and they just about blow you away. I know nothing about amplifiers, am I missing something? I got the foot pedal to be able to switch channels, but with voice volume being so wildly different there is no way I could switch it without blowing the roof off the house. I will play with it more tonight, but feel like something is wrong. you can add some boost, but then it just makes it sound overdriven and is not the sound I am after. Any insight anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Can I use the POD HD500X as voice processor and guitar processor at the same time? What I mean: 1 preset for the voice and a different one for the guitar? Is that possible in some way? In the case it is, could you tell me how? I can't find a way to do this, maybe is because it can't be done. Thanks
  4. Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a POD HD 500x, but want to know a little bit more about the capabilities it has. Sorry if these are dumb questions - I haven't been able to find answers anywhere else. Does the POD HD500x have any backing tracks to play/practice with? It seems that the HD500 does not - but I haven't seen if the 500x includes these. Is there any way I can input a mic and apply the POD 500x's effects/looping to it? Thanks!
  5. Hi does anyone know how to use line 6 ux2 and podfarm to create a claptrap or glados voice?
  6. Does anyone know how to make a claptrap, glados, or robotic voice in general using pod farm?
  7. Any experiences with the M5 as voice processor? I'd like to have it between a dynamic vocal microphone and the mixer in live gigs. Specifically, does the M5 have balanced inputs and outputs? And can it cope with microphone levels? Thanks a lot!
  8. This is a follow-up to my earlier post. Does anybody know--does the voicing switch remember other topology settings? What I mean is, do the voices act somewhat similar to the way the channels act in that when you switch out and then switch back in it remembers the last setting? So, for example, if you set voice II to class AB, then go to voice III and set that to Class A, then if you go back to voice II, will your DT automatically switch back to Class AB? My amp is in the shop and my tech is telling me this is what it does, which is news to me. He believes that each voice will remember the class switch and the pentode/triode switch settings. I re-read the quick start guide and it seems like maybe this is what it says too, but I'd really love to confirm it. THANKS!
  9. Hi. I am currently using a Audio-Technica AT2035 running through a UX2 audio interface connected to my computer through USB and it picks me up, but I am really low. I tried messing around with the settings in POD Farm 2.0, but it didn't make a difference. I tried also to change the settings in the windows sound control panel by changing the microphone volume. Some people suggested checking the microphone boost check box, but when I do, there is no difference. There isn't even a slider to change how much it boosts. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. If you would like to know just how low I am, check out this youtube video I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGEhOfaHLSI
