migueledge
I think the hexil is a great unit, GREATS AMPS SIMULATIONS!!! but They are missing some essential things like delays, where is digital delay with modulation? Another think is how to clone a tc2290, a sdd3000 or a eclipse? Helix has a lot of potential but line6 has a long road ahead. Another think to improve is to have presets references , for example to do simmer.
JLondon
Several of the Helix delays have modulation including the Memory Man clone. (don't recall what it's named at the moment)
Joepeggio
Ducked delay is the 2290. Not sure of others yet
PeterHamm
Some of what you want IS in there. It's just not called what you think it would be. I'm really happy with the delays in Helix myself.
Guitarzman
I also think the delays in the Helix are pretty good sound wise, but it would be nice to get a few more selections to choose from!!
josetxu
Mod/chorus delay is a digital modulated one, isn't it?
radatats
all the effects are listed here including the delays. https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/Effects.pdf?token=AWxpy_oyNcQmdZc3Qvwta5yCnWM8gPoHtmj7h6DFst-1qd3WZZW2Oi7NRzDMcEQn-TvEQhZNSrYh5W7dgHFjdjsrzFdHnmD0VdNnq96YbvP-k0Zqt4-50Ua0-TKmDpG2_a6xYIWpwgRcjoCE-Dsorz28JfV-fcsKc6l-9Rl2Xq3Pyg
duncann
I think the delays are some of the better effects. There's quite a few that have integrated modulation of some kind: Mod Chorus Echo: chorus or vibrato or off Dual delay: chorus, vibrato, off Multi Tap 4: chorus, vibrato, off Sweep Echo (my favorite): filter (low, band, or high, with adjustable shape, rate, start frequency, range, resonance, and duty cycle) Reverse Delay: chorus, vibrato, off Transistor Tape: wow/flutter Adriatic Delay: there's rate and depth controls for something Elephant Man: chorus or vibrato (can control depth)
migueledge
Thanks for your replay, but you are wrong, pod hd 500x has more delay types. Is essential a digital delay with mod (chorus or vibrato), Mod Echo is not the same. Ducket without modulation is not ok. I prefer 3 types of delays with multiples settings. Types: echo, digital or ducked. Settings: mod, drive, flutter, etc. Infinity possibilitys and more versatil.
spikey
Thanks for your replay, but you are wrong, pod hd 500x has more delay types. My count is 19 delays for the HD 500, versus 12 for Helix. Out of those for the HD 4 are doubled up, calling one Tube Echo, and Tube Echo dry. So if you didnt count those doubled then its more like 15. 3 more than Helix. If your a delay guy I guess its winner winner chicken dinner... ;)
lokimoto
Th delays sound good in Helix, but could be better. I use Korg A2 for delays, since I think they sound 'clear-er'. The modulation inside delays in Helix is a bit disappoint to me. That's why I keep using Korg A2 for delays when playing some of the U2 songs which you need really defined delays sounds. But for other stuff, it's more than enough!
