Jacksc5
Does the Amplifi have a looper function? If so what are details....... 14 secs again? Overdub and redub? Unlimited or limited? I'm interested but not sure yet!
Rowbi
I don't believe it does have a looper , but you can always add a looper between your guitar and the amplifi input
Jacksc5
Thanks. The problem with that would be the effects on loop will be lost in amplifi (eg first loop will be overdriven then if I change to delay for second loop the first loop will change to delay). Only way round it is pedal board which defeats the effect modulation on the amp.

Record guitar (plugged in in looper, looper in Amplifi, record sound from amplifi on looper). 2. Play back loop (clean on amplifi, line in). 3. Play guitar (still plugged in looper), signal to "guitar in" on amplifi with an an other sound. Problem: no send/return, headphones out will mute the amp
joebutterfield
Currently the only looper available on Amplifi is within the music library. It has no effect on the guitar signal itself but loops any song that you are currently playing. @line6jbutter

archtopeddy
Thanks! Im gonna do my best and jump on here whenever I can. Thanks Joe for checkin' on us. Regarding looper -- could you check out this IdeaScale and think what you think. Thanks! AE' Add AB looping during song playback An AB looping function during playback of tracks would make the app much more useful for working on licks/songs. Triryche
Joe, Can you comment on the plans for AMPLIFI's USB connection? I can , it is for a possible future use. Sorry, couldn't resist.
TheRealZap
Joe is a product specialist, not a support or developer person. he would be unable to comment on any future plans. even if he knew... which is unlikely. laytonio
To use a looper with an Amplifi 150, I came up with 2 different methods: 1. I ran a stereo cable from the headphone jack with a splitter on the end, sending one side to the looper pedal and the other straight, both into my PA system. With this method you do not get to use of the speaker setup on your Amplifi. 2: ABY box between the guitar and the amp, and running the 2nd cable to a different amp with the looper in it. I could get the loop going on the 2nd amp, click the ABY button so it would sound like 2 guitars on 2 different amps.
Spantik
Is there a looper to select only a portion of a song in the music library? AmpliFi is a great practice tool and this feature should not be missed (I had it on my former Yamaha THR Apps). Ideally one should also be able to dial speed, currently is only onehalf available. Where can one place ideas for improvement?

Add AB looping during song playback If I recall correctly I believe there is another suggestion there for adjusting the playback speed. If not, you can add it and let everyone know here so they can go give it a vote.

Spantik
Just wondering what are the different settings in the Music Library garding soeed and loopers. I observed they ar two loopers, one with a small 1 in the loop and the other without, how are both different and how can one maintain half speed in the loop. Actually, the firts time it goes half speed and the next repetition is full speed again. I did not find anything in the help, definitively, a complete manual for both the AmpliFi and the iOS apps is necessary.
Leslie_Stompbox
It's kinda ridiculous they didn't build a looper into the app so you can record and playback even a short one like a 30 second one would've been appreciated
michaelawalker
Still no news on the looper function?, geez...we need this, it sure has been quite since they fixed the iOS 9 problem...
CRobichaud
Any update on this?...I don't know if anyone from line 6 support follows the forum's closely......but I would like to loudly voice my option for a looper....and an app update that would allow you to add an additional pedal in the train. Thanks, Blaze
Moderato
It would be nice if they could but does anyone know if the Amplifi even has the capacity to add something like this? The other issue is a decent looper pedal on its own costs $100 - $150, how much can we really expect for the price of the Amplifi? Again, I'd love to have it but if it doesn't have the capacity, I'd certainly understand.
EuanGMason
Try the "Loopy" iPad app. I've connected my iPad to my Amplifi 150 using the USB socket, and Loopy works beautifully with the 150. Signals go both ways, and you can record loops, each with their own tone, and play along with them, all through the Amplifi. A Beat Buddy can be used to control Loopy with your feet as well. See the full description here: http://line6.com/support/topic/22057-a-good-looping-option-if-you-have-an-amplifi/
gwilymjames
The best option is to use Loopy. It's an app for iPhone/iPad. Just connect a USB from hole in the back, to the phone/ipad, using Apple's camera connection kit. It not only lets you record into the looping app, but also plays the audio out of the speaker. Furthermore, the app is as good, if not more functional than expensive looping pedals. Read this forum for more on Loopy HD and AMPLIFI: http://line6.com/support/topic/22057-a-good-looping-option-if-you-have-an-amplifi/
kuba603
Loopy seems an attractive solution. A USB looper pedal would be even better. Does such a solution exist?
paulcsole
Hello all, I'm a bit of a novice. I really want to start using a loop function but cant see it on the millions of things on my Amplifi 150. Can someone please advise? I've read a few posts on here but they are quite old.
