  1. Anybody have any idea if they have been working on getting support for folks with 4K monitors that need high DPI support? Right no you can enlarge the plug in container but you can not actually enlarge the text and the graphics so it is pretty small looking and you have to put your face on the screen to edit.

  2. I wasn't having an issue with Helix Native, until I was. I thought it might be a Bitwig update that broke things, but I remembered that when I was troubleshooting something else, I changed the plugin hosting from "Individually" to "With Bitwig," while I was trouble shooting another issue. Changing it back to "Individually" fixed my scaling issues. Hope this helps someone.

  3. Lol...it is a mystery, isn't it? All they have to do is pipe 1's and 0's from one end to the other. Shouldn't be that hard. And like you, I've still got several 1/4" cables that I've had since college that work just fine. I only know because they're emblazoned with the House of Guitars logo (Rochester, NY) which I'm amazed is still legible after all this time, well over 30 years ago at this point. Wow...what a depressing realization that is. ;)

  4. Give it up. The clue is in the name - LF Raw. It's the speaker with no fluff, no EQ, no tweeter, nothing. You're playing your Helix/whatever straight in to a Class D amp with a speaker. You're actually hearing what the Powercab sounds like. There's no logic in EQ'ing a speaker sim to sound like the speaker with no speaker sim, when they actually provided it for you - it's like adding a body kit to an MR2 to make it look like a Ferrari and then adding another body kit over the top of it to make it look like an MR2

  5. Fwiw, it's quite amazing how companies still can't get the USB thing right in 2024. I mean, I should be able to run the HX series devices through a USB hub (fortunately, at least for me it seems to be possible with the two hubs I'm regularly using with an M3 Macbook Air) - and still, it isn't. I also should be able to use pretty much any USB cable - and still, I can't. I don't know how many USB cables I've thrown away through the years, either because they were simply not delivering the full specs from the start or because they got all dodgy after a short while (micro USB cables have been notoriously bad in that aspect). Must be like hundreds by now. At the same time, I'm using 1-2 guitar cables regularly since 25 years already. Really, it's shocking.

  6. Not sure why you want to try to make Natural sound like Raw, why not just use Raw? But if you did want to do that, you could record a loop in Helix, then play back and record the output in a DAW with the Natural and the Raw in separate tracks. Phase align the tracks, then use a tone matching plugin like the EQ in Logic Pro to help you find the EQ curve.

  7. The Waves Graphic EQ is highly underrated, especially the "modern" option. I think people tend to dismiss it as "oh, a graphic equalizer." They probably should have called it a "customizable multiband frequency AI engine," LOL. That's a really, really good line!

  8. Hi, You said that you are using a Windows 10 PC, and no hub is involved. Are you aware that on some PCs the front USB ports can behave like a hub and it is recommended that you connect to a USB slot on the rear of the machine. This rear port is most likely mounted directly to the board and is probably a more stable connection. Also, (more USB voodoo), just because the USB cable you're using works with your printer (or whatever) doesn't necessarily make it suitable to hookup to your Helix. Check all your cables if you are suffering drop out. This place is full of threads regarding flakey USB. Other than that, follow the advice from @silverhead above, and ensure both HX Edit and the firmware are the latest versions. Hope this helps/makes sense.

  9. For it's capabilities, the price is just fine. It's not much different than a single high end pedal and the usage is up to your needs/imagination. Need a Drop pedal on one song.... got it Need to do a simple synth line on that cars tune... got it Need a rotary effect that can ramp up... got it Need a tremolo for a tune... got it Need a chorus for that one tears for fears song you do... got it Need a phase for that Waylon tune... got it .... you get the point I am sure it is going to find a nice home on many pedal boards.

  10. i know guys that have pedal boards and I think this would come in handy in that case. If the modeling is acceptable to someone, it could replace several pedals you often only use once in a signal path. Like a delay.
