  1. Yes, the edit page. Each page has a Variax patch associated with it as a Variax option. I don't recall if it was a global or not.
  2. Take it to a Line 6 authorized service center, have it re-tube and properly biased, with the Electro-Harmonix 12AX7 and EL84 tubes. And do a general overall check-up on it. Not having it properly biased creates problems.
  3. If you're going to use contact cleaner, spray it on a cotton swab and use that. Do not go spraying inside that jack.
  4. Then it needs to be looked at by an Line 6 authorized tech. It's something on the inside of the unit, not something you should do yourself.
  5. Yes,... what Charlie said. Next on my list, want to first see how the others went. Which ever works.
  6. Take the amp, Shortboard and the network cable between them, to a Line 6 authorized service center. Could be the either of the three items. It needs to be checked through by a tech that knows this product. When was the last time tube vacuum tubes were changed out, how long ago?
  7. -Use a cable with TRS (Tip/ Ring/ Sleeve) plugs on the ends. -You can configure the JTV from the 500X,... turn "Force" off, to control from the guitar. Try those first.
  8. The,... 1) Red LED's on the AMP, STOMP, and MOD pedals problem, (service center may need to contact me on this one, it can be fixed). and the 2) "unkonwn flash" problem, ... are two different things, from two different areas of circuits and functions. Both problems need an authorized service center experienced with the product.
  9. EricR1954,... -http://line6.com/find/service_center/ is an option. Set the search for places that do guitars. -Logging a support ticket and see if you can get a return authorization. Line 6 Repair is in Calabasas, CA. It be evaluated there.
  10. UX2 is an interface and requires an app, running Gearbox or POD Farm. Your Shure mic is a dynamic mic, so DO NOT engage phantom power. Phantom power is for use on condenser mics. Crackling is usually a sign of clipping. Maybe try it without the Cloudlifter. The UX2 already has amplification inside.
  11. They are different beasts. Try Full Compass. There still may be some 700 Electric parts left, or they might be able to do a special order for you. The battery compartments and voltages are not interchangeable. Nor would a JTV battery compartment fit in a 700 Electric, without routing out the cavity.
  12. tygr1,... be sure your unit is registered, then log a support ticket.
  13. Have a Tobacco Sun and Cherry Sun, plays great, works great. Love 'em.
  14. Gareth1,... Do you use a pedal controller with the AmpliFi? If so, what kind is it? Take it to E&M Electronic in Milton Keynes, they're an authorized service center. They'll know what to do.
  15. Just be sure it's a Line 6 Lav for it. The connector pin-outs some of the other ones out there might not be wired the same as the Line 6 Lav. There are others who wanted use these for mic'ing a sax.
  16. All the JTV's I've worked on, haven't come across the Turbo yet. Maybe someone else here has. Getting a replacement bridge assembly for an 89F, it has a trem arm already fitted to it. They are very snug.
  17. The 89F is a Graph Tech bridge, of a Floyd Rose design. Do you lock it with the threaded collar? I ask, because I've serviced hundreds of JTV's and haven't had much wiggle with the 89F's at all.
  18. The 89F bridge and trem arm are individually matched up, so that there less play for wiggle or wobble to occur. Any 3rd party device may or may not fit as you would want.
  19. "Are the tremolo bars sold, interchangeable with the different models of JTVs"---- 69 trem bars just works with 69's, the 30-51-0381 part number for the 2nd generation bridges starting around 2011. That part number is still available.
  20. You could go through Models Gallery in the Online Pilot's Handbooks and compare the models. Legacy models are not loadable to JTV or Standard, and vice versa. In JTV (and Standard), v2.00 and after is "HD", so using Workbench has to be the "HD' version. JTV and and Standard are not cross compatible, contrary to other postings. The switch configurations and Alt Tune layouts are different. There may be the same Models across the JTV body types, but each body type has its own individual switch configuration and Alt Tune selection. So except for the Models themselves, the JTV body types do not have cross compatible programs.
  21. If you are using the Battery and 1/4",... does the cable have a Tip/Ring/Sleeve (TRS) plug or just Tip/Sleeve (TS)? As with many guitars with "active" electronics, you should use TRS cable for this guitar.
  22. Cruis,... you're one of the sharper ones here. And I'm not the one who talks conspiracies, there are those who do. And you aren't conspiracy person from what I gather,.... but there are those out in the forum world who are.
