  1. Looks like their gone from Line 6's warehouse. They must have been cleaning house, dumping inventory.
  2. I don't believe you can do what you describe. You can assign the stomps to actually toggle between two different levels, but you can't have one bring the volume up and another bring the volume down in increments. It sounds like that's what you would want and you can't as far as I know anyway. Of course you could assign the level to an expression pedal. Don't take this as gospel though.
  3. I don't know much about the L6T files but I would open an L6T and one of your SYX files in notepad and see how they compare. I think Line 6 edit can run without the Vetta Hooked up to the computer so if your syx file will load up in there you should be OK. Just change the syx to l6t I think you can use the Line 6 monkey to load the vtf file. I found this info Hi all, I Finally figured out how to load the VettaComba_2_50_vtf file. I had to put a Windows XP computer back together out of five trashed systems, and load the Monkey 1.16 for the Archive download page at Line6.com. I used the UNO midi device with the correct drivers recommended by line6 back in 2009. The Monkey still would not see the vetta but had a tab that allowed me to select a local .vtf file upload and sent it out midi to the vetta. The line6 Monkey 1.16 popped up the step by step procedure and in 30 minutes I was up and running. Later versions of Monkey in Windows7 and Windows8 will not have the local file select option so you will not be able to do this, I went back to 1.36. AND!!!!! since the vetta is brain dead, no Monkey or Line6Edite will ever see it. Now since my Vetta Combo is fully function and has a new 3 volt battery, I dumped all the Syx files for backup so in 8 to 10 years I have to change the battery again, I will not have to depend on the .vtf file. Plus when changing the battery use a snap socket for a 2032 battery. I pulled one off an old AMD motherboard and it lined up just right. vetta_250.syx Vetta_250_models.syx Vetta_250_factory.syx I used the tool Borne's SendSX to build and load these files. Let me know if you need them by this blog. Keith PS: Line6 will have the file VettaCombo_2_50.vtf to Email but I never got a good answer on the Monkey issue, I had to hope that my idea was going to work for me.
  4. There is a video somewhere in this forum where Digital Igloo states that they are working on the reverbs. I know the ones they have now were ported from the HD500 so I always suspected that they would be redone. I would say the latest they show up will be 3.0 but I'm hoping they'll be in the next update. They were shooting for this month which usually means next month. Not because they're trying to trick anyone, just the way it usually goes.
  5. Assuming you have a Helix floor unit, if you plug it into EXP 3, EXP 1&2 are then available on the unit.

    Tube amps Gone?

I am of course, just assuming he's a professional and I know he ain't the only one.
  7. 1) Key words are "in the right hands". That's too often not happening. 2) I trust my ears to take care of my tone as well. I don't trust my ears to take care of my tone when I can't quickly get in a position to hear my tone from a good audience perspective but have to do it standing where I am behind, to the left, to the right, below, above, etc. relative to the PA speakers. You can't take care of your tone that way. You can with the Pink noise generator and a Frequency analyzer (not forgetting the reference mic and cable). 3) I still don't think you understand what I'm wanting to do AND how I would be doing it. I have EQ'd a room with a "FOH system". I'm wanting to EQ only my Helix to the room. So that my patches would sound close to how they sounded when I created them. The Helix has a tool to do that. It's called the Global EQ. It is essentially there for EQing the Helix to a room. Right? Isn't that what it's primarily there for? I thought you knew that. I would like a way that is more accurate than a humans ears which can be fooled and help me since I'm not able to quickly get in a position to do it accurately if I wanted to use my ears. So it would be logistically, a lot faster. Are there better tools available in the world. Yes. Do I have access to them all the time? NO. There are several other things I would use it for as well. If you still don't understand then I'm done trying to explain and/or justify it to you. Not that I've done a good job doing that, just don't want to spend more time on it. Bottom line is, you wouldn't use it, I would. Which is essentially what I was asking in the first place. I was not asking why or how you would or wouldn't use them, just whether you would or not. I would and have. In several different ways. It would just make it easier to have these things in the Helix.
  8. Yes it does. Although I'm guessing the electronic work that would need to be done would be slightly different.
  9. I can't do it until the pink noise generator and frequency analyzer are installed in the Helix. I would have already tried my patches with the band in a pink noise EQ'd room. You sound like you've had some live sound experience. Have you never EQ'd a room using a pink noise generator and a frequency analyzer. I don't trust my ears as much as I do those two tools.
  10. This is exactly the scenario I would use it for. Room sounds bad. Use the internal pink noise generator and on screen real time frequency analyzer to use the Global EQ to flatten the frequency response as much as I can. It's not perfect but it would make things better and make it easier for me to use the Golbal EQ to EQ my Helix to the room.
  11. I would NOT be using it to shape my sound. Where did you get that idea? I would use it to send pink noise through whatever I was going through wherever I was going through it, lIke the room I'm in, to flatten that as much as I could using the EQ. Since my patches would be created with something I did the same thing to they should translate fairly well. Nothing you're talking about relates to how I would use it. I thought I was clear about that.
  12. Yes. Not only will they more than likely not sound the same but the fletcher-munson effect will be coming into play when you're turning up the monitor so people can hear you. Two completely different beasts. But you'll find that out. Just try a headphone patch through your monitors and see what you get. I'm going to assume they will sound significantly different.
  13. I would not be using it just to EQ a sound system to my Helix for a gig. And if the sound guy isn't doing their job, I would like to have a way to at least partially compensate for that. I get why you wouldn't use it. But I would. In several ways. I'm more interested in how many people would use it than how many people wouldn't. I wouldn't want Line 6 to put any effort into it if I'm the only one interested in it. I also wouldn't want Line 6 to waste very much time on this if it isn't relatively easy to implement.
  14. Check this out. It's a hack to be able to use that footswitch with your Helix. http://line6.com/support/topic/26725-toe-switching-with-an-external-exp-pedal/
  15. For me the main thing I use it for in most patches is a Volume pedal. Volume pedals don't have footswitches. jbuhajla's recommendation would be another way I would predominantly use it. I like the on board one for pedal effects that would have a switch like a wah. I wish I had known about the footswitch hack for the pedal with the footswitch. If the price cut is still there in a few months, I may get one.
  16. Thanks for the clarification. Just ordered the non footswitch one.
  17. So just to clarify....The misson pedal with the footswitch.....the footswitch does nothing for the Helix floor unit? The footswitch doesn't work with the floor unit?
  18. Well I would start with the Fender Bassman. I think with some dst or fuzz box you should be able to get them all
  19. Check to make sure your outputs in your patches are set to multi or XLR. Also make sure the XLR output level itself is set properly. It can be line or mic level. If the card is expecting line level the mic level is probably not strong enough. The XLR output setting can be found in the Global settings area I think. I do not have an LT so I could be wrong about the Global settings. Have you made sure there is a signal there by using headphones? Maybe your input is set wrong. I've been caught by that. Spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong and it was that the input was set to the wrong thing.
  20. Start here I guess. https://music.stackexchange.com/questions/24397/billy-corgans-sound-on-siamese-dream
  21. I must agree. Your question specifically was Where is the helix patch list? and that's what he gave you. Yeah, the post may not be there, but the info was accurate to what you asked for. Lighten up dude.
  22. Sounds like this is resolved but here is an official Line 6 Helix pack pic showing the Helix's orientation.
  23. All of this gave me an idea that I 1) have no idea if it can be done 2) don't know how many people would even use it or care My scenario starts by sending pink noise out of the Helix (with the internal pink/white noise generator block?). I would then attach a reference mic to the mic input. That would then be routed to feed the frequency analyzer block that's in my Helix. I could then EQ for the room/cab/whatever directly from my Helix using the internal frequency analyzer displayed on the Helix display. Does anyone know if this is even feasible or would it probably require to much, resource wise, to put it in the Helix? AND Does anyone even care? Would anyone other than me, want or use such a thing.
