  1. For no latency use your Helix as your computer's audio card (the LT does this right? I don't own one). Then do NOT monitor the guitar's signal through your DAW. You will hear your backing track through the computer and your guitar directly through the Helix which will result in no latency.
  2. I thought he was refering to EQing for the most people if he wasn't miced adn not just the front row. Oh well. I guess it doesn't matter. In regard to the both of you and my interpretation of you guys, I agree with both of your points. I think we're just interpreting the post differently. Not a big deal.
  3. Have you tried using the pad or changing the impedance settings?
  4. ALRIGHT!!! Nov 1st. Only one week away. YAHOO!!!. (I know, I was just kidding)
  5. For the sake of my closure, context is everything and the context of that sentence with the rest of the post is different than just taking that one sentence out of context and deriving a conclusion from it. Are you a politician or in the media? ;) :D He was refering to the large group of people near the front of the stage where the amps own EQ adjustments would make a difference since they would get more sound from the amp than the PA. Not just a couple of people directly in front. And he was also referring to the situation where the amp isn't miced at all. Like in a relatively small club.
  6. Take one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EZZ8B5Q/ref=asc_df_B01EZZ8B5Q5231615/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B01EZZ8B5Q&linkCode=df0&hvadid=195451805901&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7231136845660252098&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033327&hvtargid=pla-312317797099 Check out where the reading lies on the attachment and EQ accordingly.
  7. I would reread that post. I got exactly the opposite of what you gleaned from it.
  8. I've gotten essentially perfect sounding patches (IMHO) to a few songs but there are also others that have stumped me. I'm guessing the Helix can do them but I've spent too much time on some of them. I would give yourself an hour to dial a tone in. Wait a day (rest your ears) and try again the next day with fresh ears. If you can't get it by then, just go with as close as you can. I will also bet you that there are people that would disagree with my "perfect" assesment of some of my patches as well. Just do the best you can and don't sweat getting perfect. It really is more about the notes than sounding exactly like the record. But personally, I do love playing with a patch that sounds like the record. That's also what I like listening to. Hearing say, a Journey cover with a tone like some death metals band's, doesn't quite do it for me. That's just me. It's not a character flaw if you love to hear Journey with a death metal band's tone.
  9. I agree. I was just going to do a print screen of a good pose from one of his videos and print it out with his name on an iron on. Stick that on a T-shirt. I did that with my avatar and it worked pretty good.
  10. Wait a minute. If you take the name Nicki Rose, correlate each letter with it's corresponding number in the alphabet, multiply all of that by 666, take that number, separate it back out and correlate each number back to it's corresponding letter....VOILA!! It spells TheBreakneck!!! The OP's NAME!!!!! Nicki Rose is FOUND!!!! Nicki how's it goin'? Was that video your first attempt at the Police sound? (Sorry folks I couldn't resist. I think I'm done now.)
  11. I have nailed this particular Police tone No doubt about it. Absolutely spot on. I wonder if anyone would be interested in this tone? :)
  12. All of these threads were worth it just to get a glimpse of this guitar genius! I love stuff like this. I think because I just may see some of myself in him. Thank you for turning me on to this. There is little to no info on the net about him. I did see one comment to an article that he had committed suicide in 1994. Not confirmed anywhere else but a shame really if that's true. I am now the newest member of the Nicki Rose fan club. I'm gonna make a t-shirt.
  13. Here's one pic and all of the Tone Templates Line 6 has. The Tone Templates can be gotten here http://line6.com/tone-templates/ Jonny Greenwood See thumbnail Kurt Cobain http://line6.com/data/6/0a06433917d0f57be2daad61ff/application/pdf Tom Morello http://line6.com/data/6/0a06438916e5157be35895804e/application/pdf Mark Tremonti http://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3e16f0358b4d11dd3fe6/application/pdf Joe Bonamassa http://line6.com/data/6/0a06439c1814857b658e41b50a/application/pdf
  14. You guys haven't gotten the upgrade yet? I have mine!!! It came with my nude photos of Ernest Borgnine and the snowball that the guy guaranteed me came from hell. :o
  15. This is the same OP guy from the last Andy Summers thread. This thread was his first post and the attitude is pretty much the same. His profile is the same. The video is the same. The Andy Summers is the last thread you posted under itslash and this is the first thing you've posted under TheBreakneck. You're busted and not very clever. As your last Andy Summers thread proved. Deny it all you want (and you will), I know that's who you are. You could have at least put some false info into your profile. By the way, your tone is further away than the ones offered on your last Andy Summers thread itsslash, TheBreakneck or whatever other name you want to use.
  16. Are you specifically looking for a Helix quality thing because there are lots of others that I think would accomplish what you want. I've seen several people on several occasions use several of these over the years using adapters to get to where they need to input them. Sansamp G2 http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/sansamp/gt2.html Irig2 & IrigUA http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig2/ http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigua/ Line 6 Pocket Pod http://line6.com/pocket-pod/ Zoom https://www.zoom-na.com/products/guitar-bass-effects/multistomp/zoom-ms-50g-multistomp-guitar-pedal Korg Pandoramini http://www.korg.com/us/products/effects/pandoramini/
  17. Get a replacement. Do not hesitate. It's the knob closest to the floor. But get a new guitar. Unless it plays perfectly otherwise. And I mean PERFECT. If it plays perfectly otherwise just get the knob replaced.
  18. Three IR creators that are mentioned a lot are Ownhammer, 3 Sigma, and Red Wire. There are free ones all over the place. I find that they are more subtle than I expected so I'm pretty good with the included cabs. I have never actually purchased any except those that came with a bundle of patches. I know there are many who disagree with me and greatly prefer IR's over the included cabs. The main problem with this thread is you really do have to decided for yourself with your own ears. There doesn't seem to be a majority opinion on which is better. https://www.ownhammer.com/store/ http://www.3sigmaaudio.com/shop/ http://www.redwirez.com/
  19. I just can't wait for the updated tuner!! I mean it...OW...SLAP, SLAP...OOOOF...Hey stop hitting me!!! POW...SMASH...Whats wrong with you guys?!?!?! :P :D
  20. If you want to sound like them put it before. Listen to Bridge Of Sighs to get Trower's main speed rate. It goes well with Hendrix
  21. Absolutely!! I got excited when I read your post. So I looked into it a little more. Would love to have a Dumble in there. Maybe the next update!!
  22. Create an amp in path 1, then click and drag the amp icon down. A new path will be created below the initial path. Let go.
  23. Here's a quote from the designer of the Litigator. Apparently it's not designed after the Dumble Overdrive Special. http://line6.com/support/topic/24274-ben-adrian-talks-about-the-origin-of-the-litigator/ (Go to post #9)
