Nah, not really. Cause I hardly switch pathces anymore. I got all I need in 1 patch. Same with my axe-fx. Just using scenes. Can't even say if my axe-fx has spill over. Definitively a gap in amps, but maybe the delay spill over. Don't remember.

Android? As in using you phone as a daw?

I'm struggling with my pedal. First of all I always have to make sure to bring it waaaay back, in order to make it mute, and then trying to use it to bring in a soft volume doesn't work. It goes from 0 to 10 way to fast.....if I'm lucky. Usually 0 is 10, so I sound like a smuck, and stopped using it:) Same with the whammy....I want it to be normal key, then bring it up an octave and back to normal...but normal is hardly ever back to normal...it's sharp by a few cents :-/

Word. The high end is easy to fix, but I find all of the amps too sloppy in the low end. I can make them tight and full of attack, as I do on my axe-fx.

I think you misunderstand. I don't do "drag and drop". I make patches from scratch all the time. I audition all amps, all cabs and if they are not sufficiant...IR's. What I am trying to say is that Singtall made some really good sounding patches on the amplifire. If I could get them, I wouldn't use any of them exactly like he's done it, but I would be curious to see what he's done to the setup. But maybe it's not doable on a helix, and the amplifire is just a better unit for that kinda sound. That's of course possible:)

Of course. It's a mid to high gain package. But it's very well done. And although I agree that the wide mix of styles in the presets are a nice offer from Line 6, I still have to say that I cannot make any of the amps sound like the amps in the amplifire video. I might suck at editing, but I get these sounds on my Axe-Fx...pretty close, but not on the helix. So yeah, would be curios to see what Singtall could come up with:)

I had to listen to this again. This guy really nails it. Makes me vert curious to try the Amplifire. So far, I haven't been able to make my Helix sound as good as this.

No. Is the manual on it? Haha...I never checked the drive...thought it was free commercial flash drive :D
-
Ah. Great. Just found the manual now. It wasn't delivered with my Helix, but I found a PDF online :-) Tnx!

Hm...but this sounds like parallell though, not all 4 in series? So, 1A with a chain (1B) and 2A with a chain (2B). I want guitar in -> A, B, C, D->output. But i'll check the unit tomorrow:)
-
Tnx. I don't have the unit here...usually in the tour bus. But I'll look at it :-) I've trying to get the signal to go to row 2 (out of 4), but haven't succeeded yet. Wonder how you can force it into 4 rows:)

I picked up my copy in a local store in Norway a few weeks ago. It was sold out in Oslo, but available in smaller cities. So that's my tip, call your local music stores in the country you live in :-)

I haven't played a mono rig in a decade or two. But I know that US and UK have a lot of crap FOH's, so maybe it depends om where you are in the world :-)
-
Good to know:) Is there any way of using all 4 rows as a signal chain (without using it as a parallell)?
-
Hell, yeah. He's good. I have no experience in the atomic amplifier, but that video made me wanna check it out. Curious to see what this guy could do with a Helix.

Not quite sure what you mean, but if you're thinking the typical 80's SPX90 pitch shift, then I think Glenn is pretty close in his patch. He talks about around 08:40. Can't remember where in the video he uses it, but you'll find it :)

My Keeley mod'ed Boss SD-1, maybe my Morley wah. i am also very fond of my EVH phaser and flanger, but if I can make the Helix provide the same effect, I can loose those. For now, it's not quite there yet. Chorus, tuner, octaver, delay, stuff like that is on sale ;)

"Hidden" as in most wah-wahs:) Step on it (y)

Are you sure? Works great for me. Check out the use of it around 20:00 in this video:

Hi! Anyone knows if the amp+cab blocks use less cpu than 1 amp and 1 cab block? Also, is an IR more cpu heavy than cabs? Even 1024? Best, Ken
-
Cool. What amp did you use in the first one?

Agree. It's nice to have the editor, when it arrives. But it is stupid easy to edit directly on the Helix. And I love that! I dig my Axe-fx, but editing is hell. Sure, the editor in nice (although way too many parameters), but doing ANYTHING live was impossible for me. Need more gain? Uh...wait a second, I'll just run to my hotel room and get my mac and open the editor. Bah :-P
