I just loathe people who expect others to wipe their behinds for them.
-
Funny, because it is written in the owner's manual.
-
Can't change that unless you change the order of the effects. The first one in the chain takes the light priority.
-
You'd be surprised. Especially 2 weeks after Christmas.

manual(s). Plural. There's 4 of them. Or, at least, I think there's only 4. There may be more.

Master volume - The master volume does not apply to the cd input. So, for me, I use that as my baseline. I match my master volume/patch volume "sweet spot" to what is playing through the cd input. I actually have a "process", but its too much to be bothered typing AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Because of years of experience as a musician... I don't skimp on certain types of repairs and remodels.- 6 replies

As a new user, you can either expect to take the next few months learning the ins-and-outs of the unit and its various functions before determining the best way to run it. Or, you can leave the global settings as is, and try to "work with what you got". Think about it. If your gear was stolen 3 hours before showtime, and you could only find "Gear X" to perform with... You don't have the time to figure it out. You just have to work with it.

Did you read the owner's manual?

Used units aren't covered by a warranty, so you can take it to any electronics repair shop - not just authorized technicians. It doesn't even have to be a music store. Phone repairs may not be the best place because modern phones are more about replacing glass. But computer shops can do it. There are plenty of them around. I am with coda on this one - it is worth it for one broken button. but you need to consider what else may be wrong. If this is your first unit, you aren't familiar enough with it to know.

So, what you are saying is... you are only using 1 input of the device?
-
other than setting the global settings (once) and master volume (repetitively), the knobs never need to be touched.

You could have stopped at 'cheap'. Do not use cheap. The rest is useless jibber jabber. Nothing after the word cheap matters.

You are a new user. Let's assume you are experiencing an ID: ten-T error.

But, you can use a "work around". Build a stereo chain, send the electric to the right and the acoustic to the left.

Just wait until you are on stage in front of 30,000 people and you go up to the mic to start singing the first song and it zaps you unconscious.- 6 replies

Newbie Q's on Best Practices for using Amp/Cab and/or Audio Interface
pianoguyy replied to davewieser's topic in POD HD
For starters - the Helix forums is over there>>>> But, to answer the questions.... If you are getting good tone, it really shouldn't matter if you using a preamp or not, nor should it matter if the physical amp is adding color. People just want to eat the donuts, they don't care to know how they are made. -
Your 500 is running 2.62 Which, according to Monkey, is the latest. And that is interesting because.... Once upon a time, you could change the name of a saved setlist and have the new name appear on your device. - the way you say you can. But the newer updates required some programming to be dropped in order to make space for the new stuff. One of the things that suffered was the setlists being able to be named that way. You either have to manually edit the name on the machine, or you need to do the global reset after you load a named setlist.

You are obviously looking at the wrong thing. the 500x never had 1.04

I am definitely that guy. We already know that what you are doing is not working. You can either accept the help or continue on your path.

If you have the latest firmware, that "solution" does not work.
