  1. Before using the aux input, make sure you are using a patch that allows for the assignment of the aux input. I know he said it, but I wanted to emphasize it.
  2. really, if you think about it --- how can you use two pedals at the same time? I did it on my X-15. But that is because they were both built in. They were side by side, sitting at the same level. I could use one foot. But on the pod - having one sitting here, and one a few inches away and a few inches lower...
  3. depends on which hum you mean
  4. but you can't use the "two" built in pedals at the same time
  5. Question --- You go on stage in front of thousands of people at a sold out show being attended by some record execs that heard about you and wanted to check you out to see if you were rockstar material ---- Do you want take a chance on a cheap expression pedal?
  6. Plus, buyer assumes that the unit he was sold was bought by the store that sold it to him in 2017. It is quite possible that he was sold a 2014 unit that was sitting on a shelf for 3 years.
  7. And if you take too much off, there is a metal on metal clang. Not what you want in a church. But it really is the only solution and isn't that big of a process.
  8. if you measure the width of the two plugs, one of them is 3.5 millimeters, or roughly one-eighth of an inch. The other is one-quarter of an inch. The Stereo part... count the black rings on each. they should be at least two on each. also, some of the new headsets, it may not be black.
  9. The adapter is typically the issue
  10. If you could be more specific -- like saying "happens at 4min 30 sec and lasts for 10 seconds" -- that would go a long way to knowing what you are talking about. But stereo is easy. It is left and right. It requires two separate speakers placed far apart so that you can hear the separation. As to the two songs you mentioned (without knowing what specific part you want) - I hear delay/echo, and I hear multi-track recording where each part was recorded separately. Be more specific, so that we can be more specific.
  11. I like that term. Do you mind if I steal that from you for future use? It sounds so much better than the way I normally say it.
  12. Here's a better solution ---- Go direct. When you find a place with sub-par monitoring, use your amp as the monitor.
  13. You don't even need to do R>PA L>amp. There are FOUR outputs. Send L and R to PA and then send L and R to amp.
  14. How do you make an identical volume between each type of amp? Use the various volumes. Whether it be a the mixer, or a volume pedal, or even just the volume on the amp. It can be tricky and time consuming. But, really, what else do you expect. If I could twinkle my nose, I would. What choice of amp in direct studio mode? HD amps or amp / pre? What you use does not matter if you are getting the tones you want. The one thing to remember is - whatever setup you are using, that is what you need to always use. If you spend a year designing patches, and then decide to switch from one to the other, none of your patches are going to sound the same.
  15. And yet, I don't have an issue with the unit. Not only do I not have a problem dialing in tones, I pointed to an album(s) where people can go hear the Pod in action next to non-Pod units.
  16. Crap. Did I bang your wife, or something? It makes total sense.
  17. What are you guys talking about. They are totally handing out updates. Or is that just because I am special and you are not?
  18. One-Eyed Doll and Steel Panther are always two underplayed bands that can be used to break up the monotony
  19. drawing 2 is possible. easily. I will let someone else chime in on image 1. I don't use amps or loops. So, my knowledge is limited.
  20. If modelers are the "wave of the future", your IEM should be replacing your guitar amp on stage.
  21. You not being able to palm mute on a guitar sounds like you don't know how to play.
  22. volumes vary. that is because amp volumes vary. As to the 0/pan --- The reason the volume increases as you near 0 is because you are putting the sound into 2 speakers instead of one.
  23. I agree with Studio/Direct. But I will preface that with.... Changing it to Studio/Direct is only for if you are starting "fresh". You said that you monitor the sound in headphones - so, if you already have your patches designed with another method and are already using some sort of amplification for "house sound", then you should keep it where you had because it will change those tones.
  24. go buy any of The Music of Nashville soundtracks from season 2, 3, or 4 if you can tell me which songs were recorded with an HD500 and which were done with the real thing or another modeler --- Then, and only then, will your "ears" mean anything to me.
