  1. Return it, there's something wrong with it that you will not be able to fix yourself.
  2. 1/8" stereo female jack X 1/4" stereo male plug adapter, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Waves-Female-Stereo-Adapter/dp/B0002E51CQ/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1439299352&sr=1-2-fkmr1&keywords=1%2F8%22+stereo+X+1%2F4%22+stereo+adapter
  3. I'm guessing that most hw/sw manufacturers assumed their product would be compatible with Win10 based on Microsoft's initial blurbs regarding compatibility and the ability to run in Win7/8 emnulation mode. No doubt other manufactures are working on updated drivers, too. I didnt' see anything in the PodFarm 2.5 sell pages mentioning either Win 10 or Win 8.
  4. What's the purpose of running the bass thorugh the Spider amp? If you want to record the sound, use the headphone/DI output from the amp, which will disconnect the speaker. I've done that.
  5. Make sure you back up your patches to a computer first using Spider Edit, then try a factory reset. It's worth a shot, but it sounds like either 1) one side of the power amp has gone out or 2) an internal connection to the output has come loose.
  6. Yes, if you mean that playing outside affects the way your amp sounds and that its not loud enough, Rocco is spot-on. You get used to the sound of your amp in a closed room - where the sound bounces off walls, and is abosrbed by the things in the room, and of course it will sound different outside. Guitar amps, as a rule, don't disperse the sound out very well, so its better to keep them at a reasonable level and mike them to the PA.
  7. If you're getting a usable signal using the 'line' setting, then something is definitely amiss in the input circuit - a passive instrument plugged into a line input should result in a barely-audible (and noisy) signal.
  8. An FX loop has long been the wish of Spider users. :D The factory will not do anything though, it's up to a user (at their own risk) to install modifications. You can input direct to the amp using the CD/MP3 input.
  9. The POD HD is not an amp, it's a multi-effects unit. Use the left and right outputs (either unbalanced or balanced) into the line-in inputs of the audio interface.
  10. Strange that this is just happening now. Did you change the battery in your bass recently? I've heard of some people having input problems with active pickups with the Spider amps - overdriving the input voltage. Do you have a stompbox (not full bypass) you can use to buffer your bass signal into the UX8?
  11. On the 'delay' - you are monitring the track in FLS, right? Were you direct monitoring before? If not, then you'll need to check your buffer settings in FLS. If you are getting problems now that weren't there before, its possible you had an O/S (WIndows?) update that messed things up. You could do a System Restore to a point before the problems started.
  12. No video posted (that I can see from work). Have you tried a factory reset (hold the A button in while turning on the power)? Note this will delete your user preset patches.
  13. It definitely sounds like there is a low-pass EQ in the chain somewhere. Try a different guitar and/or cable for a start. Download the free Audacity software and try recording to that to see if the problem persists.
  14. First thing to do is to try a different USB port. Next step - delete any Line 6 driver software in the computer, re-download it and install it, then plug in the Line 6 device..
  15. There could be many possible reasons, from something as simple as a wire that has come loose to something in the preamp circuit. Only a repair center could make the evaluation for you.
  16. Create a support ticket if it keeps happening. I did the Spider Infusion update many years ago and never had an issue.
  17. All audio interfaces will work like the UX2 - but you need to set your system audio device to the interface (assume W10 works the same as previous versions.
  18. Does the plug (the male part of the adapter) have 3 conductors (tip, ring sleeve)?
  19. The UX2 is your soundcard when you have it plugged in - plug your computer speakers into it's speaker outputs.
  20. Manufacturers never offer extended warranties themselves - these are always done by an outside company. If you buy from guitar center, they have a company they use, etc. $40 is actually a very reasonable charge for equipment repair evaluation - around here it's at least $75.
  21. FBV Control is for use with (other) MIDI-controlled devices. It's an extra feature with software that Line 6 could offer without changing the actual hardware.
  22. Sorry you're having issues, too, but old equipment will eventually fail. My Spider IV 75 is 5 years old now and I've had no issues with it.
  23. Try recalibrating the FBV. Whatever you did with Control should not have affected how the pedal works with the amp.
  24. The Aux input bypasses the preamp section of the amp. The 1/4" input may seem louder due to the gain setting, which of course will muddy up the sound. Use the iPod controls to adjust volume when using hte Aux input.
  25. Is this an FBV Mk1 or Mk2? There seems to be a problem with this site's search feature right now, but that's your best bet to get the procedure.
