  1. I bought the Samson SR850 for about $30 on Amazon. They are supposed to be AKG K240 "replicas" and they sound quite good. Open backed studio reference headphones.
  2. Unfortunately no. This is a limitation with the unit as it offers no dual path routing. The only thing I could think of is the stereo delay, which you can set the feedback on one channel to 0% which only give you delay on one side.
  3. I've used Windows 10 and Windows 7, ensuring I was using a USB 2.0 port, not a 3.0 port. You can also try using the Firehawk Remote app and doing the firmware update via Bluetooth, but it takes FOREVER.
  4. That's awesome! Thanks for sharing, I'm sure this will help a lot of people.
  5. HX Stomp is limited. At $600, you'll need an external expression pedal with a toe switch to extend the functionality. Also, add in a volume pedal. The Mission Engineering expression pedal is $130, VPjr volume pedals are $100? So you'll be invested roughly $830 for a "Baby Helix" when you can just buy a used Helix LT for $800 on Reverb. The LT will offer much more functionality and more effects blocks and routing options. I'm saving for a Helix....
  6. Did you take any pictures while you were in there? This could be helpful for the rest of us :-)
  7. https://line6.com/support/page/kb/effects-controllers/firehawk/firehawk-troubleshooting-r745/
  8. The Variax block will always be there. It's permanent. It's just not active if you don't have a Variax plugged in.
  9. There is a "Digitech Whammy" in the Firehawk, it's called Bender. It's under the modulation section of effects. Preset 15C is already setup as a "whammy" for you to try out and have fun with. Good luck!
  10. Might be a pending app update on iOS device? I know the sharing from both devices works, only the Android devices properly load the shared tone.
  11. Could anybody here try to load this patch using the link? If you are successful or not, could you report back and post the results along with what device you're using? Thanks! Shared the tone "Test Patch" created with Firehawk Remote. https://line6.com/t/3Wa2WFLG4w4
  12. Well that would negate the cell phone thing I suppose. I guess you could always flash the v1.20 firmware and then reflash the v1.30 firmware to see if it fixes it. That's what I would try first. Good luck
  13. Does this happen if you turn bluetooth off? I'm wondering if it's a rouge Bluetooth command or something.
  14. There seems to be an issue with the Firehawk Remote App for iOS (iPhones). I am part of a Facebook group that is trying to share tones using the link that the Firehawk Remote App provides. We can all share tones via link, but it seems only Android devices can actually load the tone. The problem is that iOS devices seem to have an issue loading and go to the 1A preset. Can we have some Line6 assistance here? Thanks!
  15. You can get cheap android tablets for $50 that will work
  16. Good to hear you found what was going on. I know cell phones are a huge issue for me, they make a bunch of random sounding clicks and pops if you put them near amp/guitar/cables. I am from the north VA area, grew up in Woodbridge/Dumfries area.
  17. This is my thoughts too, must be some EM interference. Strange. What part of Virginia are you in Rick? I'm in Va Beach
  18. bobirvine, Yeah, no worries mate. I love using my Firehawk because it allows me to have consistent tones no matter where I go. Usually, I just plug the XLR out into the snake at church. Another option I use, is plugging into a FRFR speaker setup. I picked up a small, self powered PA speaker (10" with tweeter) to dial in sounds through, so I can: 1. Play/Play practice at home without headphones 2. Dial in sounds as accurately as they'll be represented through another PA. I always tell the the sound person to dial in a flat EQ on my channel. That way there's no difference between what I have setup and what is coming through the PA. If the sound person says there's too much of something (bass, middle, or treble) I'll adjust and save it. That way it's repeatable for the next time.
  19. Wrong forum, but I'll try to help. I don't own an HD500X, I have a Firehawk. I assume you can place the volume pedal in the front of your signal chain? You will have to move the volume pedal block. Not sure how to do that in the HD500X.
  20. You should have the effects loop ON on the Marshall. The volume will now be controlled from the Firehawk. That's what the big round thing is next to the screen is for. It replaces the volume of your amp.
  21. Your setup should be: Guitar => Firehawk FX Guitar Input => Firehawk FX Send => Marshall Guitar Input => Marshall FX Send => Firehawk FX Return => Firehawk Out (L/Mono) => Marhsall FX Return. Move the FX Loop block infront of the amp model, after any drive pedals. Also, setup your Mix to 100%. It will put 100% of the signal through to your real amp's pre-amp. Like this: You want to turn off amp and cabinet models in the the associated blocks. Set the Line/Amp switch on the back of the unit to Amp.
  22. I think you've got the wrong forum section bud
  23. You can most definitely have a compressor and a drive in front of an amp. You need to press and hold a block and move it. https://imgur.com/a/smRLAhK
  24. Looks like you have the mix on your reverb set to 100%. The mix setting on effects isn't conventional. 100% means 100% reverb signal only, so 50% means exactly 50% dry and 50% reverb signal (basically 100% guitar and 100% reverb). 0% means 100% guitar only. 25% means 100% guitar, and 50% reverb. 50% means 100% guitar and 100% reverb. 75% means 50% guitar and 100% reverb. Hope this helps and isn't confusing.
