  1. You'll have to have the dual lock on both sides. It won't grab the regular velcro.
  2. Or, even better, a setting on the tap tempo that would output a click, thus, saving an effects block?
  3. To get around the El Capitan issues, I used bootcamp and installed Yosemite to do all my Helix related stuff. I haven't had a single issue with the software on Yosemtie.
  4. Without getting too technical, yes. This is totally possible.

    Helix Eb tuning

Actually, I don't think Glen is using the latest in that patch. I think I saw in another post somewhere that he's waiting for some other fixes before he updates.
  6. I went with the 3M dual lock as well (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007OXK1AK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00). It worked perfectly and allowed me to leave all screws and the feet on the Helix. Just two long strips across and it's solid as a rock!
  7. I used 3M Dual Lock to mount my helix to a flat board. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007OXK1AK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 It worked perfectly and did not require removing any feet. Also, it's been my experience that this stuff removes very easily leaving a hardly any (if at all) glue residue to clean off. Just used two long strips across the bottom and it's solid as a rock.
  8. This is a great bag but it's more than twice the price of the Novation. I'm looking for something to tide me over till the L6 Helix bag is available so I don't want to drop that much cash.
  9. With it being a pretty snug fit does the Helix slide in easily or is it a situation where you have to take care to not knock the knobs around?
  10. That's awesome! I think I may actually pick that up. I have my Helix (along with two EB VP Jr's for expression) mounted onto a flatboard and in nice flight case right now but it's too cumbersome. I'm thinking I'm just going to get a bag for just the Helix and keep the extra expressions somewhere else and just get them out if I actually need them. Thanks!
  11. Should be tomorrow morning for firmware and helix app update.
  12. The spec on it says the internal length is only 21". The Helix is a tad over 22". Bummer too cuz that looks like a perfect bag for it. I wish the official Line 6 Helix bag would just hurry up and become available!
  13. If it won't let you specify a different level for the send and return of the same loop, you could maybe use two separate loops in a row, the send loop set to instrument and the return loop set to line?
  14. No, this is current functionality. Whenever you call up a preset, the volume position is set where the patch was saved. There's an ideascale poseted about this already. Go vote it up! ;)
  15. I know something like this has been mentioned about the volume pedal (http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Volume-Pedal-initial-state-on-patch-tracks-current-position/788939-23508). Might be a good idea to post about the JTV settings as well.
  16. It's on Ideascale now. Vote it up! http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/midi-clock-sync-quantizing-loops-looper-sync-to-external/740452-23508 I know it mentions quantizing the looper but, midi clock sync is part of it...
  17. I've been using two fingers to move the joystick so it's getting pressure from two points rather than one and I haven't accidentally scrolled to a new effect/amp yet.

    Lead boost

You can also assign one of the foot switches to the amp's channel volume. I cam across this idea earlier today and plan on giving it a try tonight (hopefully).
  19. The vol block on the Helix has an option for linear vs. logarithmic curve. I have mine set to the latter. I didn't notice any "crowding" last night when I was playing with it. I'll have to check again though.
  20. I know this has already been answered but I'm having zero issues with using my Ernie Ball VP Jr. as an expression.
  21. You can't. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Optical-Trem-and-Ubiquitous-Vibe-speed/788191-23508
  22. I think I've seen this on idea scale already. What happens is that the preset is loaded with the volume pedal set to where ever it was at the time it was saved. For now, to have a "silent" patch change, you'll have to save all you presets with the vol pedal at "heel down".
  23. Truer words where never spoken.
