It really couldn't be easier to run VST's with Helix. Using a DAW or Mainstage or even standalones and a simple USB cable creates a super flexible unimagenebly poweferful and completely unnecessary tool of sonic doom placeable anyqhere in your signal chain

Surely its Line 6's job to make awesome products and its our job not to be dumb lollipops and learn how to use them properly? Or would you suggest they stop making them at all because some of us can't read a manual or two?

I was REALLY digging the free v30 mix. So much so that one IR now gets used for pretty much everything. Im completely over the moon with it. Maybe because i spend most of my life playing a Cornford 1x12 open back or 2x12 closed back. Ive bought the 4x12 closed and the 2x12 open packs (in virtual land having to carry a speaker cabinet doesn't limit its size ;) and I doubt ill use them much but the namm17 promo was finishing today so thought i might as well stock up. Brilliant

Yeah i really struggle to know how they messed this up. Is it more difficult than it seems? If there is movement on the wah it engages immediately. Starting in any position. When movement stops the wah disengages after a user defined period. Done

Will it work within Mainstage?

So who is using their Helix with a laptop for either plugins, looping or any other combination? What sort of music do you play, what's your favourite plugins etc Anyone use any Native Instruments stuff?

Is there REALLY Helix stability problems? Mikes hasn't never skipped a beat. I'm seeing guys on the Facebook group who have had a Helix for a week moaning about it glitching etc and I'm thinking hmmmmm talking bulllollipop there my friend It seems to be the word on everyone's lips right now and it would be sad if anyone got put off reading this forum or elsewhere by something that seems to me to be exaggerated and the favourited moan of the month The midi clock guys outta have something to do now right?

Not white knighting but the L6 guys must literally pull their hair out reading some of the lollipop we type If they say it's the same then it's the same If you haven't liked a software amp sim before then it should because most are garbage S Gear free trial in the meantime if you still have doubts about plugins If your machine and interface has latency issues it's because you don't actually have a computer and are in fact in possession of a garden variety potato I'm going to buy it. Without even trying it. I have a million uses for a Helix plugin and I already have Amplitude (crap) Guitar Rig (utter crap) and S Gear (awesome). Let's have some faith
