You guys are doing it wrong: 1. Everything 2. Not new amps
-
Do the stock cabs use more or less DSP than 3rd party IRs?
-
Yeah that thing looks awesome
-
 THAT's it?

Just saying... At this point I would MUCH prefer seeing updates with improvements throughout the Helix, maybe a new pedal thrown in here and there. There are more amps than I think I'll even get to, can't imagine not being able to find an amp-based sound I'm looking for in the current amp selection.

Hi guys- Just wanted to bump this thread since I'm considering a FH1500 for use as an FRFR (heard it works great) and to double as a floor monitor using the stand on the back. Has anyone had better luck than zivdud?

Does that really work? I'd think the gate would be bypassed already once you play a note.

I swear I'm trying..(Updated w/pix after 2.12 update)

Cool video, and I plan to try some of his advice when I have a chance. I'm interested in the preset it you want to send/post it. -
Definitely going to try some of these

Magnets

Yeah just trying to avoid answers like "I'd return it". Interested in what people would choose if limited to just one setup. Would you go for a flexible do-it-all amp? Or maybe one that does one thing very well? Thanks for playing along :)

You buy a broken Helix on eBay for cheap that one allows one preset with snapshots and enough processing for one pedal, one amp and one speaker/cab/mic/IR... What do you select?

If the screws touch the metal of the button, you might be able to use the capacitance by touching the screws.

Cool, I wondered the same thing thanks for making it easy for my lazy assto understand

I use both a powered PA speaker and the power section of a tube amp with my Helix. I can switch outputs on the helix to go between the two (or out to both) and in my opinion both sound great even without further EQ tweaking. I think the flexibility of the helix is one of its strongest attributes. Jamming with friends though the power section of a tube amp, or playing a gig with a powered wedge monitor, either way you can make it work and in my opinion very little adjustment is needed.

This is awesome! I'll definitely be buying this.

Gotta say, there's nothing in here that I see as being useful to me. Less DSP for reverbs and pitch will be nice, but would rather see them inproved instead. All the bass and variax stuff I won't use. Still a super happy customer, just surprised at all the attention to bass. Glad others are into this.

OK thanks for replying

Is this for real?

I'm interested in using some vocal effects on the Helix. 99% of the time I would want the vocals to go out from Helix to the mixer unprocessed, and for the other 1% of the time I'd have dedicated patches for the specific song and vocal effects. For the times when I don't want processing, is there a way to route the vocals directly to an output without using one of the paths (1A/2A/1B/2B)? Most of the time I want to use those for guitar processing. I'd rather not waste a path.

Sounds awesome!

Thanks, I haven't figured out the auto-engage yet really have to dedicate a few minutes to understanding and setting it up. I actually do like the toe switch, it feels way more natural and efficient than hitting a footswitch first. I'll have to play around with it a bit.

:D Carpet is actually pretty thin, so airflow isn't an issue. Anyway, guess I'll find something to put under it if it becomes an ongoing issue. Thanks fellas!

On carpet here too.
