  1. Good question. Still having trouble understanding how to make it work well. Also, if I want to be able to use the pedal for two functions (volume and wah), I need to be able to switch between the 2, which auto-engage doesn't so.
  2. :D Yeah I guess I am. The toe button is hard to hit though, and I really to make sure it engages when I need it too. Singing and playing at the same time, so if I have to hit it multiple times to get it to go it really throws me off.
  3. Anyone else have this happen? The toe switch on the expression pedal takes a good stomp to engage, and when I do the left side corner bounces up. Am I hitting it too hard?
  4. Your OP: "Now that the G10 has been out for well over 6 months, has anyone used their G10 Receiver Base's XLR Out to connect (an additional guitar) to their Helix via the Helix's XLR Mic Input?" Now its not about using additional guitars. Really hard to understand what you're trying to do here and why. Whatever, was hoping to understand what you're doing to maybe help but also for my own benefit. Your thread, good luck.
  5. I still don't understand, but maybe the G10 does something I didn't know it did. Interested because I'm thinking of getting one. What does the XLR Out on the G10 have to do with a second guitar?
  6. Why not just use the 1/4" out to one of the 1/4" in on the Helix?
  7. Which headphone amp do you use?
  8. Good point about licencing and time for development, and maybe that is an issue.
  9. Hideout you come off a little pompous with all your underlined bold text. What makes you the expert on what the helix is primarily and what it isn't? I would never have bought it if it were just an amp modeler with effects as an afterthought. Pitch shifting and whammy effects are popular enough in curtent mainstream guitar driven music to be given some attention (imo). There are multiple examples of companies and pedals that do the effect well in this thread, I don't think at this point it's something unachievable.
  10. I agree completely with the OP. The quality of the whammy/pitch shifting is my number one complaint. I haven't seen too many others have issues with it in the forum, and I wonder how much effort would go into improving it. Glad to see a post about it to hopefully draw some attention to it. I'd really love to sell off my digitech whammy 5 since it's expensive and large. The G-system had a much better intelligent harmony effect that tracked extremely well. I don't generally complain about the Helix, but this is my one major hang up.
  11. See this is exactly my point. I said L3M and you said L2M. I can't wrap my head around the differences between L - 3 vs 2 - M vs T. L2T L3T L2M L3M
  12. How do the L3T compare to the L2M? A little confused how the 3 vs 2 and T vs M works...
  13. Might want to start a new thread about your noise issue. Might get better reaponses.
  14. Just wanted to mention that I went with the Boss bag above. It's a perfect fit!
  15. It's right there in bold red: YOU MUST RESET GLOBALS AND RESTORE PRESETS, OTHERWISE HELIX 2.10 WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. It would be great if you could back these up as well. OK, I'm off to update. Really, thanks a lot for all the help.
  16. I guess this means they get reset with update?
  17. Thanks makes total sense. Is there anything else I should do or make note of before I update? Global settings or anything else?
  18. Why do both? Don't presets export with the setlists?
  19. This is my first update, what is the best strategy for backing up before I update?
