  1. I tried midi clock but it was kind of always on, where as mt method let your Stymon preset control its time unless you hit the tap switch. Just a different approach to the same objective I guess. Craig
  2. I'm not sure that El Capistan has midi but you can certainly do it with the Timeline. Assign CC93 value 0 on the correct channel to footswitch 12 in the Command Centre. Craig
  3. The headphone jack is stereo so if you're using a normal ts cable to connect to the speaker then you'll be shorting one channel out.
  4. What I meant was that you put an instrument level signal into your amp, the amp puts a massive speaker level signal into your cab, then your good old SM57 puts a mic level signal into the desk. so the output of the complete system is actually lower than the input. Craig
  5. If this was the real world then the signal coming out of the mic would actually be lower than that of the guitar going into the amp but that's just being pedantic. It does seem like a real issue though that could be avoided with a bit of metering or maybe just making a block flash if it is being hit too hard in the digital domain. Craig
  6. I first saw this mentioned by Ben Adrian and have seen a few mentions of using the amp channel gain to make sure that the amp block is not adding any significant gain to the path. Then when I was building the Lonestar manual presets I could clearly hear distortion on the clean sounds and found this to be the cause, reducing the channel volume cleaned them up. That got me thinking that by default most amp blocks are set much higher than unity and is this the cause of the digital distortion that people complain about and even the problems I had overloading my Strymons in the loops? Clearly in my case something was distorting downstream from the amp block and it seems that it would be a trivial matter to set channel volumes more appropriately. Craig
  7. I think that was fixed in firmware, the receiver needed an update but the transmitter didn't. Craig
  8. OK here ya go https://uk.line6.com/customtone/tone/3696895/ https://uk.line6.com/customtone/tone/3696896/ Suggested settings from the Lonestar Manual for Channel 1 and 2 of the Mesa Boogie Amp, contains 8 snapshots. I suggest using 4 Snap/ 4 Stomp modes. These are set up with a switch between Cab/IRs, I use 3Sigma Lonestar IR's but you could delete either to gain more DSP to pedals before the amp. Because we don't yet have a Ch1 model I have just kept drive one low. I've also used Sag to emulate tube/diode rectifiers. This preset has my 'Schofield Delay' which I created after watching him on a That Pedal Show video and sounds great on the cleans, this is best turned on and off with the stomp switch. I use a return on my Tubemeister so I've not applied any High/Low cuts Credit also to Jason Sadites and Guitar Geek for dual cab ideas.
  9. Ok, I'll polish them up a bit then get them uploaded. Craig
  10. The quoted prices will include 20% VAT, I'm not sure how you guys stand for import duty though.
  11. Frank has said that there's nothing new on the way so it looks like a good deal. According to the Facebook group plenty of people have ordered one and paid delivery to the US, I don't think you'd pay Vat either so it might be nearer to £100. Craig
  12. I've just built a couple of presets containing the recommended settings from the Lonestar manual, would anyone be interested in them? Craig
  13. Mine arrived today and I can confirm that it's a full system and that the power supply is multi national. Although it looks like it can be powered by usb or a standard 9V pedal supply. Craig
  14. If you want your guitar terminated in a lower impedance put a 2 pence resistor in the radio jack plug, £220 for a treble booster seems a bit excessive. Craig
  15. It's the full system as far as I can tell. I'll know for sure tomorrow when it arrives but I've seen comments that it's cheaper than buying a spare transmitter. Craig
  16. Apparently people are finding it's cheaper to get one shipped to the US rather than buying one over there too. Craig
  17. I don't know about that one but I bought a Lonestar 2x12 IR from 3 Sigma and it sounds great. Craig
  18. Andertons are selling the G75 for a silly price. https://www.andertons.co.uk/line-6-relay-g75-guitar-wireless-system-with-table-top-style-receiver-991300712 Craig
  19. Yes it's actual resistors switched in the circuit.
  20. We weren't, we were laughing at Fergie :-) Craig
  21. I'm sure plenty were praying for it to end :-)
  22. Like VirtualGuitars said, it will be fine. The Helix does not sense your guitar impedance, it terminates your guitar with a impedance that varies depending on blocks in the chain. Your guitar is being terminated by your transmitter and the receiver by the Helix so it will only make marginal difference at most. Craig
  23. I'm not cross with him, let's just turn this thread into a place for silliness and ignore the subject :-) PS I bet the Helix couldn't rescue Fergie's performance at that basketball game :-) Craig
  24. I didn't realise Ella was a Helix user 😀
