Maybe if he put as much effort into his tones... 😀

Oh f***, here we go again. Come on admins, get it deleted.

Has anyone tried those suggested settings?

I've just had an email through for 30% of all Line6 software including Native, That's a bargain for anyone that's thinking about it. Craig
-
Yes but the help (Sam) did the Lonestar from start to finish! Craig
-
I only just noticed that in HXEdit the amps and cabs are now grouped into Guitar and Bass categories. Is that new in 2.51? It's a good idea either way. Craig

Yes but if you have a straight through path it is correct to set Mix to full wet and use Level as I said. If you want less dry signal then put a gain block in the dry path. I've not had a chance to try them yet, it was too late for making noise by the time I did the upgrade last night. I'll have a play tonight.

Try putting the reverb in a parallel path, set Mix to 100 and use the Level to control the amount of reverb. This effectively gives you a straight through path to your reverb. Craig

Have you quit HX Edit? only one can connect at a time. Craig

It's ok, I've got it now.

Am I being a bit stupid? where's the new version of HXEdit?
-
I figured as much when the website slowed down :-) Craig

Yes the idea of testing it on a footswitch first works great. Thanks for that Fred. Craig

I'm not sure about Aftertouch, I can't think of any reason why it should send that out but the idea of testing the message on a footswitch first sounds good. I'll give that a try. Thanks Craig

It seems a bit annoying that if you're in the command centre setting up a midi program change for an instant command, that the only way I can see that you've got it correct is to save the preset then recall it. It would make life a lot easier if the command was sent when you changed it. Unless I'm missing something of cause. Craig

So I've been messing around trying to get Strymon Nixie to work through my Helix and I've discovered that Nixie sends out a SysEx message when It's trying to detect the pedals but the Helix doesn't appear to either output the SysEx message or pass it thru. Has anyone else tried to get this or something similar working without using a merge box? Craig

It's a no-brainer if you have a pc and a DAW. Craig
-
They've decided to add channel 1 of the Lonestar so it's going to be a while :-) I may have made that up! Craig
-
That sounds like the same problem I was having with my Strymons, in your FX block set the Send level to -6dB and the Receive level to +6dB to get some extra headroom. Craig
-
All the compressors have a 'Mix' control so you don't need to use a parallel path, just dial the mix down from the default 100% compressed sound to allow some unprocessed signal through. Craig
-
A couple more thoughts, unless you're doing something dramatic in your patch there's no real point in going stereo into the the Strymon, just go mono into the left channel and use the return in stereo. Also you can use midi CC #102 to bypass the reverb without turning the loop on and off. Craig

It may be that you're not sending on both channels of your loop, try unplugging the right input to the pedal (so it's mono in) to see if you get both output channels. With regard to it sounding distorted, I've posted previously about this but set your global loop level to 'Instrument' and set your effect block send level to -6dB and your return level to +6dB. Craig
