  1. I've been trying a Strymon Deco in a loop before the amp model and it sounds awesome so I suspect you had something set wrong.
  2. I just looked and can't see a way to do it unless you can set your Voicelive 3 to respond to note on values because they can be set to momentary. Another option would be to assign the CC to the pedal then you could maybe control it easier than hitting a foot switch twice. Craig
  3. It is doable because I control my Strymon's bypass that way. I'm not near my Helix just now but from memory is it the CC Toggle command that you should be using? Craig Edit, I may have misread your question completely but its still early here!
  4. Did you have the loop levels set to Instrument?
  5. That sounds interesting, I might try the demo of midi guitar. Back in the 80's I had a Roland GR system which worked ok but was prone to throwing the odd clanger in every now and again! Craig
  6. I think it sends program change messages on every snapshot changes where previously it didn't send if it didn't change. Craig

    Reverbs

Turn predelay up if you want more definition to the attacks. Craig
  8. I'm not a Luddite but I've got to say that I've spent less time in here since he revamp. Craig
  9. mate, the lead in the solder in those things will kill you at 100 paces, ditch then for some new $100 ones now! More seriously, cruisinon is correct you won't tell any difference but solid metal body plugs are always best for live use. Craig
  10. It's one of these https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F172164143152 Craig
  11. I made a cool little addition to my board to help with the problem of overloading my Strymons. Yes I know that I need to hide that cable :-) Craig
  12. Yes like Phil said, be careful with amp master and channel volume. There's no need for them both to be on 11. Craig
  13. That's the main thing. I have experienced distorted delays from the Timeline because the send was too hot, mainly because of a high Master vol and channel vol on the amp model. In fact I've just finished adding a signal meter to my loop just to keep an eye on it. Craig
  14. That sounds pretty good, It will show "clip" if you go over.
  15. Hold the right hand button down while you power it up until the display reads "Test" then turn the encoder until it says "Level" then press to get the meter. There's no reverb in this mode and you have to pull the power to get out . Craig
  16. It can be if you have a lot of gain on the amp model. Do you know how to access the Strymon level meter?
  17. If Phil's suggestion doesn't work then set the send level on your effects block to -6dB and the return to +6dB Craig
  18. Hi scottbmckin and welcome to the forum, I think you may have got your frequencies a bit wrong, 4Hz is more like a mod frequency. I'm pretty sure 4kHz would sound more like an old school ring modulator and not very pleasant on a guitar. Craig
  19. Good idea Doug, I guess they end up swapping positions but at least you still have both versions. Craig
  20. Thanks Duncann, that seems like an oversight but at least I don't feel so stupid now :-) Craig
  21. I can't figure out If I'm editing an existing patch, how do I save the modified version to a new location and not overwrite my original? I know how to do it on the unit but can't figure it out in HXEdit. Craig
  22. I just liked the naturalness of the video, I've got a free evening so I'll show you some stuff very cool. I've always liked Peter Frampton too, I saw him with David Bowie on the Glass Spider tour many years ago. Craig
  23. I don't think that John Mayer is a Helix guy but this video is really cool anyway. Craig
  24. Thinking about it, it should be possible to control them both via the Expression jack using the CV out. It would require soldering skills though. Craig
