Also there's the one cable method, plug the Helix into the FX return of the amp! That's how I use mine most of the time. Craig
-
Yes that's worse than mine, I'd send both clips to H&K
-
Mine is possibly the norm and in no way could it be a problem so I guess yours must be worse. Have a listen to the clip recorded from the redbox out on the crunch channel. The first chord is with the loop off and the 2nd at about 8 seconds is with it turned on but it is barely audible. Craig H&K.mp3

Actually I just tried switching the channels and on the crunch and gain settings there is some sound but it's very quiet and distorted. It's nowhere near loud enough to cause any problems though. Craig

I just checked mine with a guitar plugged in the front and nothing in the back, With the loop switch off it works as expected, With the loop switched on I get nothing Patch the send and return with a cable and it comes back on. All exactly as you would expect, if yours is behaving differently then I'd suggest that it's faulty. The manual describes it as a serial fx loop and that's how I'd expect it to work. Craig

if you plug jacks that are not connected to anything into the FX send and return, if you can get a sound with the loop turned on then I'd say it was definitely faulty. Craig
-
Try turning the CH Vol down on the amp a bit. Craig
-
The mix parameter on your Helix fx loop is a likely candidate, it should be on 100% Craig
-
I've got a Tubemeister 36 and never come across this problem, try unplugging the loop cables at the Helix end, if you still get sound it's your amp and if you don't it's something on the Helix. Craig

Theres this http://www.mooeraudio.com/product/213.html or these http://www.mooeraudio.com/nav/24.html Craig

What about the Mooer preamps? Craig

I've just finished rebuilding all mine on a piece of plywood, it would be easy enough to drop it in a case if it needed to travel. Craig

Just a thought but does the Stomp suffer from the same phantom power issue?
-
Well seeing that a D2 note is 73hz then I'd suggest that you have a ground problem. Craig
-
I found that a midi preset contains power settings so you'd need to use different presets for practice and gigs. That's why I went the ext amp route because you can set the power level as required and just change the channels. Of cause If you want to do more then midi is the way to go. Craig

Just connect a TRS cable between the Helix Ext Amp connector and the channel footswitch connector on the amp then set some footswitches to control Ext Amp, It's much easier than using midi with the Tubemeister. The switch you refer to turns the fx loop off so no, you won't hear your reverbs. Craig

Maybe it's because you're in tune now :-) Craig

Sorry but this just made me chuckle! Craig

You could make a split crossover at 150hz and put a simple delay set to 3ms and 100% mix in the low path, the rest sounds like snake oil to me though. Craig
-
I've just checked and as long as you have a resistor across the switch or across the jack plug it works fine, I had mine changing the delay time on my Bigsky but it's just a CC command the same as you need. https://goo.gl/images/g7oXRt Craig
-
Yes that would do, you'd need to wire to a TRS plug at the Helix end though.
-
I've just had another idea, you could wire up a momentary footswitch up to one of the EXP inputs and assign the pedal to a CC, that would give you the 0/127 that you need. Craig
-
So it looks like you'll need to use two footswitches or two snapshots to do what you want. Either that or use the pedal as discussed earlier. Craig

I think it's all digital, they did model analogue components like the lamp in a Univibe but that still makes it digital. Craig
