There’s really nothing I can of that would make the Stomp itself susceptible to vibration like that. Do you have an expression pedal or a MIDI controller connected to it? The fact that the same thing happened with two different units actually makes me think it’s probably not something with the Stomp itself. I have read various reports over the years of audio dropouts, but none in this particular manner… How are you powering them?
-
There’s actually two versions of it on the Helix - the HX version called “Bleat Chop Trem” and the Legacy version mentioned above.
-
If you use one of the compatible FBV controllers, there’s an expression pedal.
-
The POD Go won’t be powered by the USB connection, if that’s what you’re asking. Yes, you need to have the power supply connected.
-
I believe it’s just a limitation built into to the DT amps. If you look at how the DT amps integrated with the POD HD series, you’ll see that it was the same way. When the amp is set to channel B, none of the commands from L6 Link affect it.
-
When you connected to the amp at the store, we’re you using the same USB cable you used at home?
-
Well, Topology is a power amp setting, not a preamp setting. So being able to choose the power amp topology is the whole point of using the DT with L6 link. You can use whatever amp model you want as the preamp, and then you customize the power amp accordingly. Although, the topology/voicing switch on the DT itself changes both the preamp and power at the same, the preamp is just the digital model, the power amp is the actual relays switching the power tube configuration.

MIDI program - could you add BPM control to MIDI CC set?
phil_m replied to davetherrien's topic in Catalyst
The CC64 tap tempo is basically for creating a MIDI tap tempo switch. It’s a pretty common implementation for devices that use tap tempo. I’ve actually never seen an implementation like Hotone is using here. I suspect that MIDI clock might be added to the Catalyst at some point. I don’t think Line 6 would ever do anything like the Hotone implementation, though. That seems kind of confusing to me. -

You mean MIDI clock sync? Or something else? -
Yes, the USB 1/2 Trim should be affecting the playback of USB 1/2 back from your computer. Not why it wouldn’t be. There could be a chance it’s playing back over USB 3/4, but that seems unlikely.

Not sure I understand what you’re saying. Are you saying the Helix is changing something with the DT Channel B preamp when Channel A is selected?

The LED colors for presets can’t be changed, either in Preset Mode or with the HX Preset command in the Command Center.

Request Update? Selectable Stompbox vs Snapshot Mode Per Preset
phil_m replied to TyneGuitar's topic in Helix
Not buggy. You just have to program the command for each footswitch per snapshot. The SNAPSHOT ^ is the default setting for each command. This was a change in the 3.15 update. -
Request Update? Selectable Stompbox vs Snapshot Mode Per Preset
phil_m replied to TyneGuitar's topic in Helix
As of the 3.10 update that came out back in Spring 2021, you can assign snapshots to footswitches in the Command Center using the HX Snapshot command. This way you can stay in Stomp Mode and access snapshots as necessary. -
Do you have the UX2 connected to the computer you’re running License Manager on?

What happens to my Helix Native license if I sell my HX Stomp?
phil_m replied to Oaransan's topic in Helix Native
The discount that comes with the hardware can only be used once, so if you used it, the person who buys your Stomp won't be able to use it. You'll be able to keep Native if you sell the Stomp, the only caveat being that you need have owned the Stomp for at least 180 days. -
Yep… See my reply to you in the other thread.
-
As of the 3.15 update, you can go between Snaphsot and Stomp Mode with the Mode footswitch. You just need to go to Global Settings>Footswitches>Snapshot Mode and set it to Toggle. You still will need to use the Bank Up/Dn switches to get into Snapshot Mode from Preset Mode one time, but then once you do that, you can go back and forth between Snapshot and Stomp Mode by hitting the Mode switch.
-
An activation code for what? There isn’t anything like that with the Stomp. All you need to register it is the serial number, and that’s on the underside of the housing.
-
This may be dumb, but are you sure that isn’t your pick hitting the pickup? It’s rhythmic and it goes away when you stop strumming, and that’s really what is sounds like to me.

Helix Floor presets into Helix Native without the hardware unit
phil_m replied to jadoth's topic in Helix Native
Actually, I just checked this, and the Extract from Backup feature is indeed available in HX Edit without the hardware connected. -
Helix Floor presets into Helix Native without the hardware unit
phil_m replied to jadoth's topic in Helix Native
You can’t directly load a backup into Native, but there is a feature in HX Edit called Extract from Backup that will extract the presets and IRs from your backup. You can then load those into Native. Another thing I’d add is that if your Helix was registered to your Line 6 account, there’s a “mark as stolen” link under the account that lets you report if your unit was stolen. Line 6 will notify you if they see that serial number pop up in their system then. It’s probably a long shot, but it potentially be reported to local law enforcement then. -
Looks like you have the wrong version installed. Each particular piece of HD hardware has its own editor, so you need to make sure you download and install POD HD500 Edit. This just looks POD HD Edit (the editor for the HD bean). I know it’s confusing, but that’s the way they did it with the HD line.
