  1. You can’t… I mean, I have a couple G10S receivers, and I’ll often charge my transmitters in those, but if you only have the PGW, you just have to leave it on while charging the transmitter.
  2. The output block parameters aren’t global. They’re specific to each preset (and can actually be changed per snapshot if you want).
  3. Of course it's not normal... Is it locking up on a specific preset? Are you connected to your computer while it locks up?
  4. It works differently on the Stomp, Stomp XL and HX Effects. If you drag it down to create a separate Output block, the outputs for the Path B output block will be Send 1/2, and they can't be change to anything else (the outputs for Path A will remain Main L/R). Also, if you're using the FX Loop block(s) in the preset, you won't be able to pull that Merge mixer block down in the first place.
  5. What you have selected there is the output block. What I'm talking is the Merge block - the area where the two paths intersect. You should see this:
  6. The thing to understand is that each signal path is always stereo. The blocks you have in it controls on whether the signal is processed as stereo or mono. So what that means is that when the paths merge back together, they both have left and right signals, so that's why you're hearing them summed. To keep them separated, you have to select the Merge block (the point where the paths join together ) and hard pan Path A and Path B.
  7. Yeah, you don't get anything in the mail... You just need to run the License Manager software to associate the model pack with your 500X. Everything is tied to your Line6 account.
  8. The presets are all stored in the Helix. No information at all is stored in HX Edit itself. But I don’t expect the issue is really with HX Edit. I suspect it has to do with your laptop’s USB ports. There are Windows settings that have to do with power management that can affect USB communication over time, so I’d double check those. I mean, it won’t hurt to reinstall HX Edit, but that’s probably not going to help either.
  9. Are you saying the amps are greyed out in the Amp menu? You probably need to turn Hardware Compatibility Mode off in the settings. That artificially restricts the available DSP as of the preset were being made in whatever hardware option you have selected. If that Pitch block is one of the polyphonic blocks, that uses a good amount of the available DSP. But it wont matter if Compatibility Mode is turned off.
  10. You just need to do a factory reset. Hold down footswitches C&D while powering up.
  11. The XT processor isn’t powerful enough to support IR loading, and it’s been discontinued for 15 years now. Line 6 isn’t adding anything to it at this point, that’s for sure. Someone could always a third party IR loader along with the XT if they wanted, that’s for sure.
  12. I wasn’t saying LFO start should necessarily be tied to the tempo, I was saying that stepping on the Tap footswitch should restart the LFO. Beyond that, there isn’t any other way to change when the LFO starts.
  13. Kind of confused by your solved part, but the Stomp really should only work with momentary footswitches. You can make them work like latching footswitches by choosing that behavior in the Stomp.
  14. I can see how the tracking would be off with bass chords. The Poly effects are not really optimized for that, and that’s probably a worse case scenario as far as tracking.
  15. Mic level is actually quite a bit lower than line level. It can be as low as -60dBfs. But the difference between line and instrument level is more like 18dB.
  16. That’s a global setting. You can add a lot of gain to presets by using the Level parameter in the output block or adding Gain blocks as needed, though. What’s the context in which you would need both, though? It’s a global setting because for a given gig, you’d have the Stomp connected one way, and you typically don’t want huge variation in level from one preset to the other.
  17. The LFO doesn’t really relate to the tempo from the MIDI clock in any real way. You can step in the tap tempo footswitch once to reset the LFO, but I’m not sure if that works when the tempo is coming from MIDI clock. It should, I think.
  18. The Helix doesn’t come with a printed manual. The latest version can be found here: https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3f041b611d61cac763b/application/pdf/Helix 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev F - English .pdf
  19. Check to see if it has a volume pedal block and what expression pedal it’s assigned to. Also, sometimes people accidentally save presets with the volume block set to 0.

    Amp IRs

IRs of amps aren’t a thing. There are cab IRs, and you’ll find IRs of different acoustic instruments (mostly acoustic guitars). But IRs are a linear processing element, so they’re not able to capture what a guitar amp is doing. I’ll say, though, all an acoustic amp is a basically a mini PA system. So you can recreate what it’s doing in the HX Effects by using EQ block and possibly a compressor and chorus block.
  22. I think of a round of conversion as being the full cycle - A/D and D/A, so I’d say you’d have three rounds of conversion in your example, but the way you stated it isn’t wrong. But, yes, if you had both loops active, the signal would be undergoing all the conversions you say. Each full round of conversion adds about 1.5ms of latency (latency would increase if you had digital pedals in the loops, of course).
  23. There’s no way to avoid this, no. If you use snapshots within presets, the transition will be seamless, but switching presets will always give you an audible gap.
  24. Well, it's not a bug. I believe it's a hardware issue. I've seen it once or twice before. It's probably a ribbon cable that was installed incorrectly or something like that.
