There are different Wah's to choose from. If you are in the editor and you tap the Wah, a page should open with all the available wahs. Currently there are no heel and toe position settings like there is for the Volume pedal.

You can do this, but you will want to run either the Left (mono) main out or L/R to a TRS for a stereo return if the effects loop is stereo. The AMP out on the FX100 is for going into the front of an amp. The main outs on the FX100 willbe optimal for the effects loop, it pypasses the preamp of your tuibe amp and goes straigh to the power amp. If you want to use the amp modeling of the FX100, you can also plug your guitar into the FX100 and run the main out(s) to your amp effects return. This bypasses your amps preamp so you are not feeding a modeled amp into you amps preamp. In that scenario you my want to experiment with no cab sim from the FX100.

No worries, no idiocy perceived!! That's why I was saying just wanted you to understand the options because at first it may not seem intuitive to many, I know it wasn't for me at first!! If you get into recording, I nice thing to have is a mixer, doesn't have to be anything fancy. That way you can have multiple thing connect, you pc's line ot, the X3, GX...ect, and run the outs of the mixer to your speakers, that way you're not constantly connecting and disconnecting cables for different scenarios.

Pod XT Live prob. software + volume pedal
Triryche replied to patrik41's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
+1 to silverhead once you get past that, calibrate the pedal. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/pod/pod-20-podxt-family-pocket-pod-floorpods/podxt-series-troubleshooting-and-calibration-r489 -
Absolutely!! Just run the analog outs to the Rokit's.

I bet frustrating does not quite capture it!! Is there a family or friend's WiFi you could try to rule out your router?

The FX100 with an AMPLIFi is somewhat redundant. You get the ability to change patches with the foot-switches on the FX100 and the wah/vol pedal capabilities, but all the modeling/effects are the same. One option is to route the FX100's main outs into the AMPLIFi 150's aux in. In this scenario your amp is basically a FRFR solution and you are using the FX100 for the modeling and effects.

nightrain, Not trying to persuade you to hook anything up in any way you do not want, just trying to illustrate all the options. You could also just hook headphones up directly to the GX, which I think would be optimal for a quiet environment. Just so you know, the X3 is also a USB soundcard, so you could connect you Advents directly to it. If you do plan on recording, the X3 is pretty cool, it comes with a free POD Farm 1 plug-in license (tied to the X3). You can record the dry unprocessed guitar signal with the wet processed simultaneously. Then you can go back and add the POD Farm 1 plug-in to the dry track and tweak to your hearts content. The GX does this as also, but there are some differences. A new GX comes with POD Farm 2.5 (tied to the GX), but the X3 has all the model packs. The GX needs a computer to process sound, the X3 does not. So not debating or trying to confuse you, just putting it out there because I went thru nearly the same thought process and when the light bulb went off it was AWESOME!! Have a great weekend!!

I hope they add USB connectivity too!! I have an iPad which works fine, that is when I can pry it from my daughters hands!!

Not saying this is you issue, but I have gotten "hardware not responding" when my iPad is too far away from my FX100, even though they still appear paired. I know you said you are positive you have the latest everything, but the fact that your last flash attempt resulted in "Update Failed" is concerning. The fact that you were prompted to update confirms it did not have the newest fw. I think you may have a bad flash. And even if the app to show your flash is V 1.01, it my be corrupt. With the hardware not responding, are you able to see the flash version? Can you get your hands on another iOS7 device to try? I know it's very frustrating not having it working, but I think the issue is it's not flashing properly. There were connectivity issues that where addressed in Firmware v1.00.5 In the meantime, I would definitely submit a support ticket.

This is the recommended starting point in general for running the amp out to the front of an amp. Turn the bass and treble all the way down, the mid all the way up, and the presence can be adjusted to taste - likely near 0. For amps with an effects loop you can run the FX100's main out(s) to it, assuming you are not streaming music, otherwise you are sending the music stream to your amp's power amp. If I had the DT25, I would also try putting the FX100 in the effects loop for just effect (no amp modeling from the FX100), again, if you are not streaming music.

Only if you vote this one up too!! :D http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/AMPLIFi-FX100-Assign-Pedal-to-Tweak-Function/626369-23508 (I suspect they will merge the 2 submissions)

FWIW, you can take a tone from My Tones and save it to the hardware. Also, as I'm sure you know, you can change patches via the foot-switches. Favorites come more into play for tone matching. You can mark tones as favorites so the appear in the now playing screen.

The computer does no sound processing. Try editing a preset and chose a high gain amp, and adjust the drive.
-
Try a different USB port. Also try the update from file option.

Maybe that's something they could add to a future firmware. You could submit it on IdeaScale. http://line6.ideascale.com/

@danperry The routing should not be an issue, although technically it is proper etiquette to power off all gear while switching cables, I have used several combinations of amp/main out/headphone without powering off with no issues. Yes, you read the manual correctly, as soon as you plug a cable into the AMP out, only guiat will be routed only to the amp out. Music streamed from the app's player will only be routed to main out and headphones.

I would try a factory reset then try reflashing it. Make sure it show the newest firmware version, currently it is 1.01. The update should take ~45 minutes. Also, I think the app prompts you to do a factory reset after flashing. Reboot your router and power cycle your phone just in case.

Good thing to watch for. When I had a connection issue the BT light was steady. But it was after a firmware update. So even though it appeared paired, and the iPad said it was connecting, the "forget this device" is what ended up working for me.
-
Good tip - I was new to the iPad and didn't learn this until a month or two ago.
-
It should only display "synching" for a few seconds then should change to "connected". May be a bad flash. I would delete the app and re install. Then if forgetting and re-pairing doesn't solve the issue, reflash it. If you reflash, make sure the firmware version is 1.01 (or higher if there is newer one).

you can google wav, mp3, or guitar to midi, but most of the free stuff is mono phonic. Or you can get a midi guitar or midi pick-up, also expensive. Are trying to transcribe original material to MIDI? If so and you go the old fashion route and manual enter the score/tab or midi, I think you will find it will increase your transcribing skills. For an affordable Transcribing software I have heard good thing about this, haven't personally tried it yet. http://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/overview.html Also, I have used Sibelius which includes AudioScore Lite, which can convert an instrument signal into musical score (which easily converts to midi). The full version is expensive, but I have had some success with the lite version, you do have to clean up the note values (for timing) a bit, but it should get you to 80 to 90 % there.
