Yes and yes. But in most situations, it would be better to record via USB. With a POD Studio UX1 you can even record the dry and wet signal while you monitor the wet, and add the PF plug-in to the dry signal post processing. If you're not familiar with this workflow, IMHO it's pretty slick.

Run the newest version of the Monkey. Make sure you have green ticks for everything. Use POD Farm instead of Gearbox. Depending on when your UX was first registered, you will have POD Farm 1.12 or 2.5x. In POD Farm make sure you are selecting the correct input, in Mixcraft make sure you are using Line6 ASIO. btw, how are you monitoring the UX?

Yeah, the best you can do for now is assign it to the tweak. I hope the allow assigning the pedal to other parameters in a future fw update. When I get a chance I will post it to IdealScale of somebody doesn't beat me to it.

The app does not process any audio, all the processing is done by the AMPLIFi.

In their defense, the app was fine before the recent Apple iOS update, it's a dynamic situation, with a new evolving app. Let's just hope there's a quick fix!! (said me with an i-Pad. LOL)

PF never came with the xt's by default, but I think they might have run a promotion for a short time that if you purchase an xt live you get PF, I know they did it with one of the amps

It is the plug-in license tied to the X3 as silverhead mentions. Just run the Monkey to get everything updated, run License Manager to authorize, then point your DAW to the folder with the plug-in is installed to. Cool thing with the X3 is you have all the models packs, so it's like a POD Farm 1 platinum, but the X3 is the dongle.

+1 to silverhead You have a POD Farm 1 license and it is only VST. No additional cost. POD Farm can not control the X3

I think some of the hate comes from people looking for the next flagship amp from Line6, which this is not. What I think is slick, is the concept, all the kids/young adults are on the iDeives, so, at any given time, turn on the AMPLIFi and play. More impulsive opportunities to engage in jamming and making music. Sounds like a great fit for you ATM. The fact that they are giving you a bit $$ is a bit of icing!!

IMHO, if you are looking for a FRFR monitoring solution and are not interested in the extra features of the AMPLIFi, you are better off getting powered monitors, or passive monitors with a power amp. So if your budget is 2 AMPLIFI's as monitors, I think your budget will allow you a decent set of monitors. Why pay for Bluetooth, a nice DSP engine, and iOS editing of the DSP engine if you are not going to use it? But if you do plan on using the other feature, with a little stereo separation provided by the each of 2 AMPLIFi's as monitors, you may come up woth a nice wall of sound in an intimate setting, maybe even create a pseudo-quadraphonic sound scape.

Also check the DI delay and level in the mixer view.

Are you using PF1 or 2. I can make a screenshot if you are still having a problem.

Delete any amps or effects in the paths. The only thing in the paths is the mixer block.

For stereo, make a blank dual tone, pan A hard left and B hard right and do not put any effects or amps. Select Line1 Tone A and Line 2 for Tone B The one annoying thing is every time you open PF you need to reselect Line2 for Tone B.

That seems odd. Can you upload one of the patches? Or a sound clips with and with out the reverb?

Open the file with Gearbox. From there you can edit it and/or send it to your X3
