  1. Just to eliminate the simple, have you tried a different guitar and cable?
  2. If you run the Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers/firmware? In Reaper are you selecting the Line6 ASIO as your device?
  3. I do not think this is a known issue. Please submit a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  4. Well Line6 does not monitor these forums that frequently. Just for the record, I was not specifically defending Line6, just annoyed by the comment that insinuated Line6 is lazy and unconcerned. Hopefully the app will get better with future updates, time will tell.
  5. I would check the BIOS settings for your computer. It might be looking for a USB bootable OS. If so, disable it.
  6. Lack of concern? Have you worked for a large successful company that manufactures products for consumers/prosumers? Are you insinuating Line6 is not concerned with being a successful innovative business, which ends up making money? Can't tell you how many times I have experienced 1st hand a large to huge successful company reinvent the wheel, miss the mark, fall short (insert any other similar idioms), and/or drop the ball, do to lack of effective communication between cross functional groups. Typically the bigger the company the more rampant the dysfunctional communication is. For every department a communication is transferred to, the taller the tale (further from the user experience) grows down the line. Which is why so many consulting companies make millions of dollars by selling other companies companies concepts of how to run their (successful) company successfully. Most of the concepts I have had the pleasure of learning were pure snake oil. Don't get me wrong, I work hard for my $$$, and if a company pries my hard earned cash out of my hands, I want a great product. But just because complaints that go to tech support do not translate to a quadrillion lines of code, I'm not gonna sit behind my keyboard and call a company lazy.
  7. When you launch the License Manger, there should be an option to authorize.
  8. +1 to silverhead What other outs do you have? I would be inclined to use the UX2 Line In, if you have no other outs you could use a XLR to 1/4" cable Also, I think some of the Mustangs have USB for recording.
  9. make sure you edit the tone first, otherwise the option might still be greyed out. I haven't had a chance to double check this yet.
  10. Then you may get POD Farm 2.5, but at least 1.12 for sure. Have you run the Monkey?
  11. Is this a new POD Studio (black face) or an older Toneport (red face)? Either way, use POD Farm instead of Gearbox , the version depends on which UX you have.
  12. Are you pulling a tone from a match or my tones? I had this happen to me a few times, and it seemed like it was because I made no edits to the tone.
  13. Did you run the newest version of Monkey? If so, do you have green ticks for everything?
  14. I think for a while the X3's were coming with PF plug-in for free. But the xt and X3 series are both legacy items, so not sure if a used X3 would get you PF 1 for free still. Zap might know.
  15. Correct. i-Lok = plug-in only, with not run standalone with other interfaces, not compatible with model packs, and no 30 day money back. Hardware Independent = will run with virtually any ASIO USB Audio interface + Plug-in + 30 day money back. Are you are referring to the list under Required Hardware? If so, I better title would be Compatible Hardware. If it were me I would wait until I had my new interface just to make sure everything works correctly withing the 30 day money back window.
  16. +1 to BillBee You can probably dial in better tones directly on the Spider, and may not even need the other pedals. (I do not think there is an effects loop). But if you had to run the FPP into the Spider, you would want to set the Spider to the cleanest flat sound you can get. Otherwise running modeled into modeled effects usually ends in a muddled mess.
  17. No problem. Download the newest version of the Monkey from the website and it will get you latest drivers and firmware. If you're driving far I personally would be inclined to confirm it connects to a computer with no issues before purchasing.
  18. Did the original owner purchase the model pack or are you planning on purchasing it? If the original owner is selling it with the Metal Pack, then he should gift it to you. This doc explains gifting. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/general-faq/model-packs-licenses-faq-r490 But the short answer is yes, the Metal Pack is compatible with the PODxt Live.
  19. +1 to phil. But do not get the i-Lok, version, it is not compatible with model packs. Also, it runs only as a plug-in and will not run as a standalone on other USB Audio interfaces.
  20. Bluetooth pair it. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifiers/ampl/amplifibluetoothconnectivity
  21. When you install Pod Farm they will be presets included. They may not be exactly the same depending on what version of POD Farm you were previously running. Any presets you customized will not be there, but if you have access to the old files you can port them over to your new mac.
  22. How are you connecting everything?
