Fletcher–Munson curves may explain some of the volume differences you are hearing. Regarding the amp in the middle of the chain, some effects work well before a real amp's preamp whereas others are geared more towards a real amp's effects loop which bypasses the preamp. It's not uncommon to have a stomp or pedalboard in front of your amp with the effects loop going to a multi-effects unit/rack-mount.

AMPLIFi v2.1 Firmware Update Adds USB Recording Functionality
Triryche replied to Triryche's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
I would try unistalling and reinstalling the app, then make sure there's not a gazzilion things running on the iPad. (double-click home) -
Yes, there is a counter system based on number of posts that changes the description below your screen name and above your avatar. But it has nothing to do with the description under your avatar (except in the red or green box), be it member, expert, admin... The link to vote on IdeaScale has been posted, vote it up. If someone finds a workaround in the meantime, that would be cool, but if the thread turns into flames, the mods will lock it.

Just for the record, that is one of many workflows. Many, if not the majority (I do not have stats to support my speculation) of quality guitar recordings are from mic-ed amps. Sure there's tons of processing that can be done after the fact, but the main tone is set. Similar work flow of an HD without all the mic-ing.

Same here on my Moto G 2nd gen, haven't checked the iPad yet.

A cool feature of the AMPLIFi is there are 3 flexible effect blocks. So if you wanted, you could have 3 delays in a row. Hopefully you find some new tones while trying to mimic you patches!!
-
Did you try downloading the black electric tape utility? Hopefully they will update the app soon. When FW 2.0 the app was updated to 2.0 as well.
-
I think it is supposed to be a preference in the app. But I can not find it in the release notes anymore. Maybe it has not been implemented in the app yet.

There is no conversion. The HD tones are completely different algorithms. Although the AMPLIFi series is based on the the X3/POD Farm algorithms, the signal chain features are different and the AMPLIFi does not have all of the POD Farm models.

Firmware Update and Version Shown in the APP
Triryche replied to RiffSteve's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
Did you do a factory reset? Currently the newest available flash may be displayed incorrectly, but it should show 2.1 after the update. The app version is currently 2.0 to check the fw version go to: Settings>>Device Flash -
1)The Mesa's preamp will affect you guitar tone as normal and all effects, modeling, and BT from the FX100 will go thru the power amp. 2)You guitar is not affected by the Mesa's preamp. What sounds better is a matter of choice and whether or not you want the Mesa's preamp in the equation. Either method the BT should sound the same. Another scenario is plugging a cable into the AMP out of the FX100. Only the guitar will go thru the amp out , EQed for the front of an amp, and only the BT is routed to the main outs and headphones.

AMPLIFi v2.1 Firmware Update Adds USB Recording Functionality
Triryche replied to Triryche's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
iOS or Android? -
Route your main out(s) of the TT to the PE60s and do not plug anything into the TT AMP out of the TT. This should give you both guitar and BT stream to the PE60s. Keep in mind the main outs are line level.

You need to hold down the Master Volume and Tone Select knobs simultaneously while powering on.

Reverse Delay Help
Triryche replied to InnerSeoul's topic in DL4 MkII / DL4 / MM4 / DM4 / FM4 / AM4 / ToneCore
You could try a long delay time with the mix at 100 (or near 100). -
Regarding Mods, have you tried the Dimension? It is based on my favorite Boss Pedal, the DC-2 Dimension C, which is based on on the rack version of the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D. There are 4 modes, on the DC-2 you can only select one at a time with one being the most subtle, the cool thing with the HD version is you can select any combo of them and also control the mix (the DC-2 had no mix control). Also, for a Randy Rhoads tone, have you tried the Script Phase? Good luck on the tweaking, IMHO, diving in is one of the best ways to learn. Hopefully you'll find some killer tones that you weren't even looking for!!

Yes!

I don't have a TT, but on the FX100, plugging a cable into the AMP out disables the guitar from the main outs and only the guitar is routed to the AMP out.
-
Yes, Gearbox can be used as a GUI.

Problem with a bass guitar and the UX2
Triryche replied to JSkald's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Check the Mixer view and make sure the DI levels are zero. Also remember most of what you hear on youtube is a final mastered product. -
POD Farm 1.12 is free, it's license is tied to the X3. You may need to run the License Manager. Download the newest Monkey to get everything up to date, the License Manger is bundled with the Monkey.

If you purchase a POD Farm 2 license, you would need the platinum to have access to all the models you currently have in the X3. Best not to get i-Lok, it is the plug-in only version with no refund policy. The Hardware Independent version works with most ASIO USB Audio Interfaces and has a 30 day money back guarantee. But trying to use a Stanalone PF2 version with the X3 as an interface IMHO is cumbersome and redundant, plus no versions of POD Farm can be used as a GUI with the X3.

i-Lok does not work with the X3. But the X3 does include a POD Farm 1.12 plug-in licenses. The Hardware Independent version of POD Farm 2 is a separate license. I would recommend sending the wet and dry to your DAW simultaneous while you monitor the wet and then and the PF 1,12 plug-in to the dry track post processing. After you are familiar with the workflow, then you can look into PF2 to see what else you would gain. But sonically they are the same, there is more signal chain flexibility with PF2.
