  1. IIRC, the last time I saw a price for the 89F US on Sweetwater, it was $5,000
  2. +1 to silverhead. But you could could still record and add the POD Farm plug-in afterwards, assuming your DAW is compatible with VST plug-ins. However, investing in a decent ASIO interface is well worth it. Even if it is entry level for the time being.
  3. Yes, same sound engines. The differences are in form factors and I/O options.
  4. Also make sure you are selecting the appropriate source(s) (guitar or mic) in POD Farm for Path A and/or path B.
  5. Also, I dry guitar signal from the UX may appear flat relative to other tracks, but I don't think that is the case here. I do think it is a configuration issue, when you are selecting the UX as your device, does it indicate ASIO? And just for clarification, in POD Farm Standalone, you know how to configure the 4 sends? Are you enabling the 4 available inputs from the UX in Mixcraft? I remember one time having an issue getting my PODxt to record in Reaper, even though the previous session everything was fine. Turned out I had armed my track to record the PODxt MIDI. Oops!!!
  6. Well a flat line is not a wavewform. Are you selecting the UX as your device in Mixcraft?
  7. If you have no iOS device I would try a different computer. I know it's a PITA, but even if someone could swing by with a laptop to give it a try. Android will absolutely not update via BT with any firmware earlier than 2.0.
  8. Just to reiterate, you can record wet and dry simultaneous, regardless of what you are hearing while recording. A typical workflow with the UX is to record 2 stereo tracks (4 tracks), 2 receive the dry signal, 2 receive the wet signal, you can then add the PF plug-in to the dry signal post processing. One advantage of this is you can get your tracks down without worrying if your tone is tweaked to perfection. Yes, you can mix it down. If you do have projects were the plug-in is used and you want to be able to play it back with the effects and models but without the UX, you should be able to "freeze" the tracks while you have access to the UX, afterwards you will not need the UX during playback. Do you see waveforms while you are recording?
  9. Was it previously working with your Android? Did you update the Android app?
  10. Try forgetting the connection and re-pair it. If you are still having issues, uninstall and reinstall the app.
  11. You can submit a feature request on IdeaScale. I submitted a similar request regarding the FX100 to be able to assign the pedal to the tweak function. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/626369-23508
  12. The adapter would have to be in very poor shape to affect your sound. It's possible the wiring may be contributing to the problem (knob and tube!! haven't seen that in forever), but to my ears, it does sound like weird gating, and with hi-gain patches, any little quirk that slips thru the gate gets exaggerated. I've even heard springs on a tremolo bridge added to some recordings. But to ratadats point, go thru process of elimination to get to the route cause(s).
  13. Cool!! That was gonna be my next suggestion. No prob!! Happy Tweaking!!
  14. The AMPLIFi will not control the Spider whatsoever, so yes, it is pointless in that regards. You could run the FX100 into the Spider's CD/MP3 input in which case you're basically using the Spider as a power amp. The FX100 works well with a PA. So if your main concern is controlling the Spider, definitely go with the FBV MkII.
  15. 3rd time's a charm?? My guess is, these are tones you saved to "My Tones", and maybe the failure is due to a poor/lost Bluetooth connection. Those names are default names from the factory presets. When this happens, are you able to see all 100 presets if you navigate back to the hardware view?
  16. I don't see a screenshot yet.
  17. http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP153-Cable-Inch-Dual/dp/B000068O3C 2 1/4 Tip Sleeve (TS) to 1 1/8' Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS)
  18. Sorry, I missed -multiple guitars form your first post. I doubt this is your issue, but I will throw it out there anyway just in case, you do know the volume knob has 2 functions? Master volume and guitar level. Pushing the knob will toggle between the 2.
  19. Digital Audio Workstation. Did you install the drivers for your PC? http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=6006
  20. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but definitely sounds like gate issues. Have you tried just a hard gate at the beginning of the chain with no other gates?
  21. Unless the emulate output of the Blackstar is stereo, a regular 1/4 cable to the UX Line1 will be fine.
  22. Technically you can, assuming you have a dynamic mic and not a condenser mic, but the input level will be low, which you may be able to compensate for with the mic preamp sims, but it is intend more for guiatr. Both the UX1 and the UX2 have mic gain controls so it is better suited for recording with a mic, and the UX2 has phantom power which will allow you to use a condenser mic.
  23. Also check the channel volume of the amp sim, this will affect the wet signal level sent to the DAW.
  24. Just for clarification, in Monkey you have to select whether you are looking for the interface or the JTV. You need to select JTV to properly flash the firmware.
